What a genius of a man
Wow, a person with a million didn’t even get 3 likes. Wow. Well I’m here to give you 2 :)
If you ever think an instrument is "boring" you just haven't seen someone play it right! This was just stunning!!!

I've been playing double bass since 1987 both classical and jazz, after hearing this man I am utterly blown away! I play percussion as well, although I do some percussion on the base, not nearly at this man's high level of skill, and I never once gave a thought to using my feet in addition to my hands! Also, that is my favorite way to record, a few good mics well placed into a good old real to real tape recorder. Call me old-fashioned but that's the way to record. And again sir what I saw in your performance was nothing short of a work of genius! God bless you and keep sharing your tremendous gift with a world that desperately needs the joy and amazement of music. If you are a teacher your students are certainly blessed to have you.
Adam Ben Ezra has become one of my favorite bassist. His compositions are beautiful. Plus, how do you do that many things at once?

Cesar Fernandez I get inspired by influence, but yeah the bass is not really a flamenco instrument.
Adam ben ezra is great no doubt. I am sure those of us who know flamenco see it as: if you have a level like Adam ..before you call it flamenco study it. That is what many are afraid of because its a whole universe (complex if you arent born with it) to discover. Avishai Cohen loves flamenco but rather prefeared to make an aproach with sefardi (ancient spanish jewish music). Check out Carles Benavent.
Carles Benavent has the genius to make the bass a flamenco instrument.
So true, he actually introduced it in the70's but he was ver cautious at that time. Many traditionalist would not accept it. Paco de Lucia did and also brought the Cajon from Peru. What a time isn't it?

They way he builds suspense is very nice. It reminds me greatly of some sort of movie soundtrack in the desert. He added the perfect beat and scales to make it sound like that. Very impressive and sounds great.
How can people dislike this like even if you don't like that style of music that takes amazing talent and practice. Absolutely beautiful.
