This is incredible quality and instruction. Thank you! I’m definitely following these plans with a few minor modifications.

You do awesome quality. I’d love to see two elevator bed designs-a pulley only, and a rail and pulley combo for a bedroom.

I would round the corners of the platform (use a dinner plate as a template) to help prevent leg injuries. I would also add USB charging ports on each side of the bed, and maybe a place for remote control storage, a plug-in strip, and other little goodies. :)

Great job in all regards. Even considering doing one after
watching your video. Only thing different would be rounding
the corners at the foot of the bed for the platform level boards.
    Thanks for the video !!!

Jonny I LOVE this build. I really wished I had seen your video before I did my video and platform bed build. Your build uses a lot less wood and would have saved me a lot of heavy bed flipping lol

This is fantastic. It's exactly what I am looking to make for my california king bed. I just wish I had any of these tools...

Thanks! A cal king version would be giant! I’d love to see someone give it a go. This is the second version of this bed I’ve built. The first one I made with a cheap ryobi job site saw. You don’t necessarily need a full shop of tools. If you ever give it a go be sure to shoot me a pic!

Love it man. I think this particular build keeps the clean, slim, modern look I want in a platform bed, but it addresses some if the structural concerns I've had with other builds I've seen. Awesome job, man!!

Awesome build! Looks, good, it's practical, and efficient. One question, though....why did you cover the slats? What is your solution for preventing a moldy/mildewy mattress later?

Good stuff man, I like that Walnut Danish oil. Looks very nice on pine.

Thanks for checking it out! I actually tried to avoid using the dark walnut danish oil for this project because its so common. After testing out a gel stain, and several shades of wipe on stain the danish oil looked the best by far.

Jonny Builds. Honestly I like your projects. I love how simple they are. I asked for a shop tour because you are using a simple tools and you have done an amazing projects. I haven't seen that before on RUclips. Because most woodworkers have big nice work shops hard to afford. I am amazed how creative you are. I wish one day when you have time. You would share your experience. How to start woodworking what's? What tools that can get you started to build any projects. Also thank you so much for responding 👍👍👍

Justin Etter Really strong. This is the second version of this bed I’ve built, and and I’ve been using one or the other for over a year. (Same frame construction) I stand on the ledge all the time and it doesn’t give at all.

The author does like to from scratch, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

t.co/z6o0f8z2H4 is an amazing book about woodworking. I`m a graduate of a one-year carpentry course from a local tech college. Of all books I`ve read during my study about carpentry, I think this is the finest book I`ve read so far. It explains everything regarding woodworking as well as complements it with helpful photos.?
