Thank you for posting this video I really like your set up . I recently bought the same kayak with the overdrive pedal system and I really like it and I am just now starting to fix it up. I am a once a month fisherman so my set up is pretty tame. Feel Free makes a quality kayak that is affordable.
Nice setup! I have the 13.5 as well and was thinking about switching to a bow mounted trolling motor. Would love to see some on the water videos with your setup sometime. The 13.5 is such an underrated kayak! Good luck this season.
I chose to get a yak gadget pod mount and a Newport kayak 36lb thrust trolling motor. It fits through the pod and I can use my feet to steer with the foot pedals and beaver tail rudder. It works amazingly well and is way cheaper.
David, I do not get out into the salt at all. If I did, I would need to swap the motor for t saltwater model, other than that, all the components are composite, stainless, or aluminum so the boat would be fine with the simple hose off. I do however take this boat miles off shore in the great lakes, and through the biggest lakes here in NY. I've been in some sketchy water/wind/waves, and the boat is solid. It performed great in the those times, and I was fully confident I was safe.
That is awesome set-up!
