- I give my thoughts on Round 2 of the limit break banner, also known as the reawakened limit break banner featuring Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack, & Glenn in FF7 Ever Crisis. Not only do they each have a very powerful weapon, but 3 of them have their own Arcanum costume! This leaves only one question, should we pull on it??

Hey, congrats on reaching that OB6 goal! I’m kinda tempted to pick up Sephiroth’s costume and a single copy of Cloud’s weapon (it’s the only one I’m missing), but we will see I guess. I’d be surprised if there weren’t more PATK all weapons coming with anniversary, but who knows? Could be something completely different!

Great stamp luck there 9, I can recall getting 2 5 stamp black choco’s in a row on the Sephiroth Water banner, but a 6 is awesome!
Great pull video. i think it was a good thing that they added the weapons as "feature" instead of just having to take a wish list spot. I pull a page for the last costume and was lucky enough to OB10 Cloud's weapon!

Ok, so some new comments/suggestions on the game and I’m putting it here because I didn’t comment on this video yet haha…
1. I would really love to see a “team bonus” system introduced for certain team compositions. For instance, Barret + Vincent + Lucia gets a nickname like “armed and dangerous” and get some kind of stat bonus.
2. Co-op needs an improvement to its completion. Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to group up in fights outside of the events.
3. I know this one is probably coming much later but… synergy attacks. Not sure how, but it would be cool.

My stamp luck was really bad. I kept getting one stamp and I wanted to cry. I hope we can pull this in other limited banners in the future 😢
Nice pull session. I feel like on this type of banner, where there are numerous guaranteed 5* along the way, that should be taken into account (as long as they're not off banner/wishlist). While it would be nice to get more, it took you 11 pulls to clear 2 pages and you ended up with 8 5* along the way? That's still pretty decent along with the 2 outfits.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how they reintroduced these weapons (I would have preferred to WL to Vincent's banner, but this is a nice consolation). As I already had the outfits from half anniversary, I just went 6 stamps (in 2 pulls!) for the first guaranteed. I got my OB10 Protector, OB5 Zack, and OB4 Hawkeye too. Still debating dipping back later to grab 1 more Zack and 1 or 2 Cloud, but it's another 13 stamps for the 3 guarantees and I want to see what other banner comes Wednesday first. Not to mention anniversary is about 6 weeks out depending on when it will drop.

:o I've never seen a black chocobo before. It was so awesome to see! Unfortunately, I won't be able to pull on that banner as my dedication to pulling right now is on Vincent's and I hope to do 2 more pulls before the banner is gone. .. I would love Glen's costume and weapon. I really nice heavy water damage set up would be really nice. I'm honestly thinking of doing the same thing you mentioned: buying a gem pack here and there before Anniversary and have a little stock pile.
Yeah, it was SO awesome to see that! And I get it, Vincent makes sense especially if you're close to some Ob6 weapons on him. That's my thought too on just kinda buying something here and there so stockpile, but now I've also seen that there is going to be the final part to the summer event! Yeesh!!
My thoughts on this banner: It's a shame that they didn't take the forethought to communicate this banner was going to happen before we got Vincent's. I feel like the reception to these weapons not being wishlistable on Vincent's banner would have been greatly diminished had they told us they were going to do a Reawakened banner for them. Yes, giving better information for people to use their crystals and avoid FOMO isn't the best for their bottom line in the short term, but maintaining the morale of the playerbase will be better for the game in the long term.
My thoughts on your draws: I actually think this was a pretty positive session. Yes, there wasn't a lot of random 5*s/wishlist drops, but those are always around and not the reason that you drew. Having a high stamp/draw drove you through the guarantees quickly and with some luck along the way, you still ended up with a decent amount of the featured weapons considering how relatively few draws you made.
How I handled this banner: I skipped it, for a few reasons. I do think it being unannounced right after Vincent is a massive bait, and that they'll be wishlistable during the anniversary. On top of that, I only have enough crystals for about 10 pulls, so I don't think I could reliably hit enough guarantees to make it worth pulling for the weapons unless I got stamp lucky. I also already have all the gear from those banners except Zack's, but I don't really play him. I do play Tifa, have her recent fire setup, and it has powercrept Zack's already, so the only real benefit would be for cosmetics on Zack. So, in the end I don't have a lot of resources to spend while saving up, couldn't reliably hit enough guarantees to entice me, and the returning gear was a non-factor.

After Tifa's MH weapon, and Yuffie's summer banner and Tifa's Fire banner and Vincent banner… I am broke. But fortunately I had a lot of luck in the past with half anniversary LB weapons. I will have to wait a week and decide if I want to go for the rest of Vincent's 2nd page, wait for anniversary or go for this. :P But damn, they are throwing a lot at us.
And congratulations on Black Chocobo. :D I don't think I have seen one before. I thought the Cait Sith one was the best one with stamps.

I had cait sith on lb banner and maxed my cloud lol. My cait sith one came with 6 stamps as well the same amount as black chocobo.
That x6 stamp was nice, havent seen one in forever.
First one! I have gotten a few 4s and maybe two 5s but never seen a 6 so that was really awesome for me
Wow first time I’ve ever seen the black chocobo. So far I think I’m saving for anniversary but man I agree this banner is great.
Me too!!!!! I barely noticed it at the time and honestly didn't know exactly how good black was, but I had an inkling! That was the highlight for me :)
Dude my luck on vincent’s banner was truly the worst i’ve had. Not one 5* that wasnt guaranteed. Hurts. But nice session. 6 stamp was crazy

i have all LB costumes and in place of them devs put 30Mythril Ores so as much as would love to pull on it that's a skip for me, save for Anniversary and hope devs are not as greedy as they seemed right now and add these weapons to Wish list for Anni LB draws
Yeah, this would change my decision too! If I had the costumes, the value goes down quite a bit.

so i dont know what to say... i feel like this is not very friendly towards the playerbase.... we have those LB weapons which actually look outdated already, still they are top weapons. The fact we dont get anything from pulling here is kinda sad (for reference... i pitied on the lb banner for zack 5~6 months ago ALL of the copies i got for over 100k gems... this time around i got the remaining copies for OB6 again with the stampcard pities (this time tho i only had to spend 30k roughly). I feel like they should give us something spicy when we spend our gems on a "outdated" weapon.... (and im saying this because Tifa's regular Matk weapon IS overpowering Zack's LB weapon already). Same thing for the reawakened summer banners, who tf would pull on that shit? honestly.
On the other side.. we are playing a game without any costs (im f2p with the exception of like 2.-) so how are we gonna complain about anything they do?
Still I was very very dissapointed to realize the LB weapons are not wishlistable... they are money milkers. Honestly it just means, if there is a limited weapon and you dont have 200k+ to spend... you will not be happy if you pull in the end (dont get me wrong im happy with stream sabre ob6 6 months after release becoz Zack is the GOAT).
But I mean, the game gives us content on a weekly basis and doesnt charge us money for it... so how can we be angry when they apply a moneymilk strategy on really good gear? Even f2p has the option to save up 200k+ gems for a anniversary.
In the end the thing which really makes me mad is the fact, they are not transparent about what we get into. IF they said LB weapons on half anniversary will ONLY be on a reawakened banner, no wishlist, no new gear. People would have known... no one would be upset right now... so yeah.. if the Square Enix people who work on this stuff get to realize why exactly people are upset, they might change their strategy? (just reminding of Opera Omnia, those people listened to the community, they made livestreams and talked to the players during those and really tried to give them a fantastic game experience)
PS: I had a black chocobo on yuffies Hawkeye banner and i absolutely thought i hit the 12 stamp jackpot :D still very very nice to see this.
PS2: I dunno if they changed the 5* ratio, but i dont remember any banner where i found more than 1-2 5 stars in a FULL stampcard (30k gems)
PS3: do you also think the smart f2p should focus on getting sephiroths's weapon to ob6 here? (dont mind me going for Zack XD) i truly believe his LB weapon ages the best from all of them.
PS4: Lets see what crazy weapons/costumes we will see on anniversary XD

Thank you for the amazing comment! All of your points are well taken, and it's this exact "balance" that leaves me feeling okay about it all at the end of the day. Gachas are typically not meant to be friendly to wallets and most are open cash grabs, but I truly feel that this game offers SO much value for f2p and is super generous. For that reason, I think it is a great game. And the content has been coming along very nicely.
5 stars are still 7.5% meaning 75% chance to see one on any given 10-pull. And I believe it does even out, even though I cannot prove it because I don't keep running stats.
I think the smart "meta" f2p would save for anni most likely.
A question about Sephiroth protector's blade, this weapon is a non elemental right, so in an event that you don't have the appropriate element, this weapon could do the job just because the magic potency? Just like this guild battle, the element is earth, but if you have not pulled for Vincent and don't have a weapon with earth potency good enough This blade could do better than the others?
This is correct (most of the time as long as you are using the correct type ie: phys or mag)with the exception of the guild battle fight. The reason is, you can actually do good dmg with quake materia bc of the boosts from the weapon/outfit bonuses that raise earth potency!!

That is rough! Fire tifa banner took me 42k for 2 pages, which isn't the worst, but I went 5 pulls in a row at one point during it without a 5 star. And guide gloves tifa was even worse than that. It's a rollercoaster!

I didn't notice until a few days ago when i wanted to fight shiva ex2 with just zack and red 13. So Tifas new shell gloves have basically powercrept zacks LB weapon and has potential to do way more damage . But i suppose if you run both of them on the same team.. melt all ice monsters?
Bcus we are getting powercreep so soon , i really cant recommend to go ham on these LB weapons anymore
I see your point, and understand not going ham, but I think a value copy of each still has a lot of merit. The overall team power with two of them equipped as subs is just really good.
@Nitelight9 yeah , I can o ly recommend going for costume . As you pull for the costume usually there's a guranteed weapon before it , I wouldn't go hard especially if I was f2p . Since now we know LB banners will likely return half the year, probably
I pulled strictly to get Seph weapon OB6 the first time around, but they force fed me Zach weapon and I only got OB3. I’m thinking about doing just a couple of pulls so I can get a copy of it. I have enough weapon parts right now to reach OB5. Do you think this banner will return multiple times?
@@Baye1980 impossible to say if it will return. But if you only need to get 6 stamps, I'd be expecting to get there in 4 pulls probably?

after the magic limit break banner I stopped playing because I went deep on the physical ones and felt the power creep was just too much! Have some nice weapons if I ever go back though :p
Too bad this game is just a cash grab now. People keep saying it's a generous game but they've barely given that many crystals to pull for how many copies you need of a weapon to make it viable. They have no problem slapping those 4.5k red crystal packs when you do the smallest thing in the game. They need a little more gems like Opera Omnia. I whaled pretty decent in the beginning but not anymore. They're forcing players to buy weapon fragment packs and bullshit red crystal packs to have a decent chance at OBing a weapon.
I think you're more than entitled to this opinion, and I do see where you're coming from, but I think the perspective that it is generous comes from being able to clear content without spending as opposed to having super strong meta teams without spending. Just my take :)
@@Nitelight9 That's a fair point. I'm not so much complaining as I am sort of tired with modern day business practices for these types of games. Most of the content is very clearable without spending for sure but the back to back power creep banners are a head scratcher for me. I'd love to spend but my last banner dumps have been like your vid. Tons of 1 stamps no 5* banner or wishlist weapons and it's a buzz killer for sure.
