Can’t remember if I told you yet - I forget what I tell each creator sometimes xdd. I went for cloud and aerith first because they were in my party for ramuh2 for extra stat and r abilities - and their u.c. Skills seemed more useful than my other Ramuh party remember (red13). The no atb emergency heal and emergency matk break got me the Ramuh ex2 clear. He does 2x judgment bolt towards the end of the fight and this made it very comfy for me to recover to heal the party and break the boss matk with 0 atb use. I used aerith u.c. heal otherwise as an ‘oh sh!t’ button if I need to suddenly hit the 70% kamura wand threshold for mdef-up. I’m satisfied with these choices. I’ll probably get reds next since he’s usually my support player and then Barret because he’s my other support/healer- then I’ll fill in the dps characters. I’m gonna approach this as time goes on to fill the extra stats, r abilities in the team members I use the most. The u.c. Abilities are less important to me than the extra stat and r abilities for my team. Stacking these with mdef/pdef brands will be useful too because they don’t get stats halved like sub weapons 👍
Likewise I would recommend avoiding the c/u.c. Ability potency % brand on ultimates - this seems like wasted roll to add potency percent to a one/two time use skill.
I grabbed Cloud (since he’s my main DPS) and Aerith (that weapons really friggen good for clutch situations). I like this system, just hope it’s not too exploited for cash (causing a massive power creep) in the future. But then again, thank you whales for keeping it free for me!
I think people are kind of missing the mark with ultimate weapons. They're decent stat sticks, can be branded, and allow your character to do 3 attacks in succession. I went for cloud as he is my main DPS and it made him way stronger than you'd think from initial appearances. Everyone has basically based what to get off how good the ability is, but as free stuff the abilities just aren't going to be very good. Instead you should get ones for the dps you use the most.
I think the question isn’t which is better. The question is, what content are you aiming to clear and when. For instance, for the current ranking event, Vincent’s and Cloud’s are MVP now, as Vincent’s allows him to have his limit ready within frog sigil phase while it is on self-debuff mode and kill with a much higher score, and Cloud’s allows him to debuff Jenova right before the first aoe, greatly reducing damage taken, which in turn, translates to not only bigger score but easier survival. Then again, you might want to clear generic content that you were previously gatekept so you would prefer something like Barret’s utility for that one attack you need to tank before killing, when you don’t have the luxury to either use ATB for buff or heal before it resolves. Etc… my point is, all of those weapons, like guild weapons, none are necessary, but all offer something that is going to give you the edge in a specific fight. But that fight, for each of us, is different, as we are at a different level of the game. Matt’s healing weapon for example, is extremely meh for whale accounts that can heal over 5k per heal or have much lower HP due to more glass cannon builds. But it is great for F2P, especially for low level healers that can now support their healing with an additional healing in a clutch, especially in crash coop when more healing is needed, or the other characters have a great amount of HP and the healer cannot sustain. That said, even for a whale, the fact that it does not rely on healing potency, say that we get the chance for a physical DPS Matt build at some point (like we used to in the beginning with Killer Hornet). Ok, now your DPS can heal in a clutch with zero healing potency. And so on. There is no “best” weapon. There is “what is that I am about to clear and I have priority for”…. This is why you see me being so against “saving for later”… there is no “later”… later is power crept or replaced with the need for a utility, gear, limit, character, etc… and each time, content requires a different approach that your previously “saved for later” weapon that you get, max, play, and bench for 3 months because the next content cannot be cleared using that. Let me put it this way: if you don’t aim to clear events, there is no need for “saving” as anything works. If you need to clear events, there is no need for “saving” as events usual are heavily biased on the current month’s new toys. So, the “best” you save for is what claps you next and you aim to beat ;)
In case we manage to pull a copy of Genji Blade, would there be any other purpose for the x10 Mako Gems we get per pull or would them just go to waste?
Hey there, so currently we are not entirely sure, but a few from NC9 have theorised we'll be getting a token exchange for mako gems coming soon, likely at the end of anniversary. So until then, we have to wait, and as soon as we have more information it will likely become its own video.
It doesn’t say ‘all’. It says ‘will also be featured in limit break draws this month other than the cloud limit break’. We heard rumor of Seph and cait sith ultimates. I would bet my blue gems that Seph is on the first two and cait is on the second two.
Hi there, so currently there are 2 temporary sources of ultimate medals, these come from the Bahamut Alba anniversary event and the daily towers also in the events tab. From October, we unfortunately don't know how we will be getting future ultimate medals, but as soon as we know we'll be adding it a written and video guide of tips for new and returning players that will eventually be coming out.
I've gotten 3 copies of it but haven't pulled clouds weapon one time thru 3 pages. Only the guarantees for his weapon. So good luck on one end and bad luck on the other
