I don’t know if anyone else noticed this, but the song used actually references what the doctor and nurse lady say when creating dog man and later in the series when making robo flippy.
This is better than I expected.The voice acting , the animation and the way it combines things from different dogman stories (e.g. the vacuum cleaner and in the movie poster that got leaked before this dogman finding lil Petey ) is top notch.Let’s just hope that it stays this way.

It's so refreshing to see DreamWorks breaking out the Captain Underpants Movie's style of animation again (note the faces and the usage of skipped frames). I really do hope they continue to use these unique styles of animation that sets them apart from the likes of Disney and Sony.

So there are some captain underpants references like 0:34 this is a reference to how George and Harold thinks to make captain underpants with a snap and these two are like George and Harold but grown up and girl, and a cat being the bad guy and the boss the good guy is a reference to one of the first scenes in captain underpants 1:21 this office and boss is a reference to krupps office and Krupp the principal

This is not anything unique, it's always been a thing with DreamWorks, I mean... this is the same company that gives us Turbo, Shark Tale, Trolls, the Boss Baby, and Teenage Kraken, not to mention Teenage Kraken was just released right after both amazing films being The Last Wish and The Bad Guys, showing DreamWorks' inconsistent quality.

At least they really try do smt new, in terms of art styles and animation frames, unlike Disney who keeps the same character designs, and rarely do experiments (Wish for example) while DreamWorks does like a lot (The Bad Guys, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken - just 3 really different movie, sheesh)
