for years this song was called "track 08" on my itunes. now i have found the title and i KNEW it was patricks voice :) fucking love this song soo much.
they sold this album on their 1999 tour that they did right before weezer started working on the green album. it was just CD-R's with photocopied covers. it had ten songs.
I need to know what the song was about: people are saying that it was about Rivers' and the conflict with the other members of Weezer while Recording Pinkerton etc and how he would boss them around and such, other people say other wise. I really want to know what this song is about
Actually they were right Weezerpedia says: It is generally agreed that "Congratulations" is about Rivers Cuomo and his arguably misguided seizure of control of Weezer after their breakout success in 1994.
I have this album burned on CD-R with a recycled jewel case from a "Chixdiggit" album that I bought from Karl when SG toured and played Middle East in Cambridge MA back in like... 1998? Why isn't this on Spotify?!
Still have that CD-R?! I'm a huge TSG fan and Weezer collector and admin over at Weezerpedia. I'd buy that disc off of you for $50. I've wanted one forever!
It’s because they weren’t signed by a major record label with this album (they put out at least two others but had a legitimate backing, without a label connection you can’t legally post the music up on any streaming platform
I have a full copy if you're interested. 128kbps, all 10 songs. Not amazing sound quality but very good, certainly better than these. Let me know if you want a copy.
got this album took me ages to find it on ebay got it shipped from japan cost about £20 i got lucky with the price i had seen it on there before for $80 odd dollars havent seen it since tho

Totally! I saw them at a small club in Cleveland and bought that burned CD-R.
