Beautiful film capturing a way of life that is fascinating . What a difficult process it is... from tapping the toddy from the coconut flower; carrying heavy head loads of firewood from distant forests, facing the intense heat from both the blazing fire place and the existing sultry and humid Goa weather conditions....but despite the energy and patience sapping demands typical of this cottage industry, Christina and Lawrence persevere. They do not consider their profession as a means of livelihood but they consider each stage of feni making precious ....they take immense pride in keeping alive a Goan tradition that is unique and like their songs and dance , their feni gives the sparkle that warms the spirit , draws people together in that unique ambience only present in quaint wayside toddy shops tucked away in sequestered, coconut tree shaded bowers. To sip a drop of feni in the langurous , sleepy hours of day would be like tasting a bit of heaven....I think...for I have never tasted it, only heard of this glorious drink. " And all the air a solemn stillnes holds, Save where the beetle wheeks his droning flight, And driwsy tinklings lull the the dustant folds, Each sip of their feni awakens happy memories of jubiliant family gatherings. Quintessentially Goa.!!! Thank you for this beatiful video. Excellent photography. The tiny sweat drop on the the tip of Christina's nose, as she works tirelessly. . is an evocative image, that remains intangibly in the mind, long after it is viewed. .
@@claustrophobic0015 why not Konkani? The kannad fellow spoke in his language. The video anyways has subtitles. Konkani would help them in expressing better! Goan people need to speak their language or else it's going to die
Super shots, videography and editing. I think focus should be on sounds. Too much audio interference. Sometimes loud, sometimes unnecessary. Silence 80% music 20%

Enjoying feni in a Goan atmosphere is the ultimate high ❤ Viva feni and Goa
Instead of the broken Hindi. Our Goans should proudly speak in KONKANI! Viva Goenkara! 🏝️
So that the video can seen only by gowns not the rest of the world.
