Thanks mate, glad you enjoy the channel. Cheers, Pete
Thanks for sharing
No worries Steven, thanks for watching.
Cheers, Pete
Right on!! Glad I caught this just happened to be up late🍻 I diggin those tunes. ⛏
Thanks mate, I give my 16 year old son full editing rights, I never know what to expect but he does a great job. Thanks for waiting up late to check it out.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures really!! Hey that’s super cool your son does the edits.
I could tell who ever did it knew what they were doing, that’s a great talent.
@@ANDYTHRAXX Thanks mate, he does a great job.
another enjoyable video starting to look forward to Thursdays, not too shabby when you find a peice, beats going home empty handed. cheers
Thanks Neil, Thursday nights the night, book it in. Any time out the bush is good therapy and coming home with some gold is a welcome bonus.
Cheers, Pete
You blokes are so lucky, I watch Leigh’s channel as well really like what you both are doing thx for sharing 👍
It was great to catch up with Lee and head out with another local, thankfully I took him gold prospecting and not just bush walking.
That was a tough day,but you did find gold though and that’s what it’s all about.Gotta dig ‘em up or forever wonder. Thanks for the video Pete.
It was Morgan, but we all got a small one for our troubles. That spot has given me a lot of gold since about 2005 and I've got a little more since that video and I'll head back again when I have my 6000 hopefully to get some more. Cheers mate
Another fantastic vid Pete have watched them all during Canberra lockdown sadly a bit of a hike to get to vic goldfields but love it when I can get down
Well I'm happy I could keep you entertained, few hours of solid watching there now. Thanks for watching.
Cheers, Pete
Bloody Rust Nuggets mate, keep up the great work 💪
Thanks Josh, Cleaning up the bush one rust nugget at a time, happy to clean up the gold also.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures haha I know what you are saying about the rust nuggets mate haha
Thanks for the reply Pete. I too live near the goldfields, just a little further south than you. I have been detecting almost 2 years as a retirement hobby and have found plenty of sub grammars. Just recently I walked over a 5 grammar at about 11 inches on a goldfields track of all places. It was my first big one. I guess patience is a virtue and getting old mate lead shot means you are getting closer to the real thing!
There's no doubt finding bigger nuggets is getting harder, so you do need to get on the flat deeper ground to try and pick up the deeper targets, but you do run the risk of having a quiet day, so mix it up on some shallow ground that will have more smaller gold, so at least you'll go home with a smile and a nugget, even if it's a little guy.
Great video Pete👌 Awesome work on the Merch mate it looks great👌, I'm still trying to get mine sorted, not so tech savvy haha..
Thanks Lee, It was great to catch up and I'm glad you picked up a nice little nugget, we'll have to have another catch up soon. Connor sorted all the merch, he done a great job.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures bloody oath he does a great job with all the videos etc👌 we'll definitely catch up soon.. I've got the 6000 to use for a week or 2 so that will be interesting to test out🤙⛏
@@SavageProspecting Good one, give it a run over your old ground and see what the different tech can turn up, will be interesting.
Good job Pete nice video I love that scenery the wide-open Australian bush free range. I meant to South Yuba River Northern Cali in a remote Wilderness I got reception! I'm going down to find some gold! And yes I subbed to the Savage gold hunter guide he's got a good Keen sense of to find gold
Thanks Mate, The drone gives a different perspective of the landscape, good luck on your gold hunt.
Cheers, Pete
Admire the drive.
Cheers mate and thanks for watching.
Nice bit of shiny mate the small rust and bits of lead always get our hopes up lol and il check out the merch 👌👍
Thanks Marky, All in good fun, just glad some gold makes an appearance and everyone goes home happy.
Cheers, Pete
Looks like a hunting area out there mate
It's truely amazing how much lead is out there, we loved a shot back in the day, that's for sure and now we have the Gold Monsters to pick up the bird shot, never ends.
Well Well good to see your old mate and a nice bit of gold but all in all you had a good day out Awesome Vid Cheers Ron
Thanks Ron, Old mate always makes an appearance, that's how it got it's name, his little golden friend is always welcome.
yes that gold is so so welcome
Pete : your videos are so realistic with pieces of rust, old mate lead shot and just the occasional bit of gold. Thanks so much for showing it like it really is , I find it encouraging as my detecting with a GPX 5000 yields similar results !
That's it Trevor, I shoot all my footage in a day and that's it and sometimes it might only be for 3 or 4 hours, I'm lucky to live in the middle of the goldfields. I've been doing it for a long time and have a lot of areas where I've found gold, so that helps. Prospecting can be hard and there's a lot of dirt mixed in with that gold, so enjoy the walk and hopefully you'll walk over that nugget.
Cheers, Pete
Pete you really know when to bang out a new vid for me in lockdown, I was pondering what gold vid to watch next, love your work mate.
Thanks Gary, Hopefully I'll keep you entertained every Thursday night around 7pm, for at least 15 minutes or so. Thanks for watching.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures Pete, I'm from bgo to, and don't worry mate, not only do your adventures keep me entertained, I can't want till I can say hi with detectors in arms, great work and off to the merch shop I go. Legend.
@@garyreid3199 Real happy you enjoy the channel Gary. Getting a few requests for catch up's now it's quite humbling, might have too have a subs day out gathering and have a big meet up on a bit of gold bearing ground. Hope you find something in the merch shop, sold a couple of "Old Mate Lead Shot" Tee's, who would have thought that old chestnut would sell. Thanks for your support.
Cheers, Pete
1 in the bank is better than none - Thanks Pete 😎👍🙏
For sure, bit of a slow day but everyone walked away with a smile on there face and great catching up with Lee from Savage Prospecting.
Great Vid again Pete - tough area lotsa Old Mate means nobody has been there or they had an early whites that only picked up ounce minimums at 2 inches - when you find a biggy its all worth it - cheers Mark
Thanks Mark, Your spot on, if the lead shot is there, gold will be there hopefully, we did like a shot back in the day. I had the Garrett Ground Hog back in the 80s and was lucky enough to pick up a 2.1oz nugget, the Garrett and Whites were the go back then.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures My step grandad had a Whites back in late 70s in Wedderburn almost opposite Beggary Hill - was a shame he didnt persist at it then as i would have gone to town in hindsight with his mentoring?
Hi Pete really enjoy the authenticity of your vids. I have used an SDC2300 around home here in Bendigo for the last 4 years but have just got a retirement present of a GPX6000. Would be great to catch up with you one day. Cheers John
That's a great retirement present John, another sub to the channel got a 6000 just after we had a day out when he was using a 4500, he loves it so hope you have the same results.
Send an email to petesgoldadventures@gmail.com and we'll see what we can arrange.
Cheers, Pete
Was that the spot we got up in Castlemaine?
Great job on the Merch mate. Might have to get me one of those old mate shirts 👍
Same spot, It was lucky we left some behind for the boys on this trip, smiles all round. I've had a few requests for the old mate shirt, so Connor made up a few designs, the lad done well.
Great stuff at least u didn't go home with a doughnut which I have done many times lol
I'm pretty lucky, I don't often go home empty handed, always seem to find one little lonely nugget. Thanks for watching.
Cheers, Pete
Not the young bearded one
I guess your familiar with Savage Prospecting, he's a great bloke.
@@PetesGoldAdventures just a bloke
Nice on Pete,Have you ever thought of upgrading the 4500 to a 7000 or 6000?
I have, but the old 4500 still finds plenty of gold. I know so many very good prospectors that have gone to the 7000 over the years and then gone back to the 4500 / 5000, I don't think they like how unstable they sound coming from the 4500 that has a solid threshold and they were a lot of money. The 6000 appears to be a good machine and does find a lot of small stuff, but it's also a lot of money just to find small gold down deep. I guess if your finding gold most times you head out, alls good.
Cheers, Pete
I’ve got maybe two weeks to go until they let me out on good behaviour 😂😂😂to prospect and hope to catch up with you guys on the gold fields ⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏⛏
No worries, keep your nose clean and you will be all good, literally. I think the bush will be busy in a couple of weeks time, I'll have to clean up the gold before everyone gets here.
Cheers, Pete
@@PetesGoldAdventures my nose is very clean 😛just waiting for this stupid lockdown to end pete
I know you
Thanks for watching Jim.
Pete if you’ve been prospecting for as long as you say you have why do you insist on using that tiny coil? If your serious about finding something bigger than .2’s then use a bigger coil and change your settings cause mate you spend a lot time out there for sweet FA I like your vids but mate show us something worth finding and don’t get me started on that gold monster please leave it at home 👍
Hi Colin, The ground i was working there is shallow and the Sadie coil is good for getting in and under, later that day I put on the 14in Evo, that coil will punch down feet if the targets there. Unfortunatly there's not a lot of big stuff around these days and if you relied on just finding big gold you would walk away sad most trips. The Monster is just fun to use getting the tiny gold, but since using it since June I've found over 10 grams with it. Gold prospecting for me is more about the peace and therapy you get walking through the bush, the golds a bonus. Thanks for watching.
Cheers, Pete
