Eventually people have to buy newer used cars with CVT transmission which generally last only 100,000 miles. Car makes switch from auto transmission to CVT transmission so people have to buy a car every 100K or 10 year. They don't want cars last forever.
Here in PA we have a bus system, even in most rural areas. That's my plan. Call them they come right to the door for seniors over 65 ( call ahead to arrange). 75 cents. Doctor appt, hospital for tests, Walmart, Aldi, Tops, Shurfine, banks, etc. That's my plan. Usually called "Transit Authority of _________County". You may have to arrange ahead, but we can do that! Screw these dealers.
There are many that will, so they can have a new car to show off. For comparison, if you notice, how many people buy the new Apple product when it is released.
I have no pity for dealerships. They took advantage of people from 2020-2023 and didn't blink twice. You didn't want to pay the market adjustment, too bad. They showed you the door. Now the buyers are showing them the door.
problem is even at 75k that truck would still be outrageously over-priced....that 100k everyday looking silverado should be 50k TOPS and i STILL wouldn't pay that.
I don’t get the business logic behind dealers adding lift kits & wheel packages and expecting someone to pay $20,30k above MSRP. The truck at $70k is already expensive but expecting someone pay 90 something for it knowing that a tuner shop can get it done for way cheaper is a foolish business strategy.
Why can’t the big 4 (Chevy, ford, ram,Toyota) sale direct to the public like Tesla? If we changed that, it would put an end to a lot of this nonsense. Dealerships hate their reputation, but live up to it daily.

This is insane. LOVE American cars, but let's be real here... A TOP TRIM Lexus RX 350 Luxury costs 64k. I would rather pay a little more for a real Luxury car than the Traverse. Absolutely Insane Chevy is trying to reach into Luxury territory with their prices!!
I would think most new tech coming out is usually a lose until manufacturing can be refined to make it profitable. Evs for GM is just that. The 43k equinox is now slightly above the price of the average car price.
The main car manufacturers have belatedly woken up to the 'luxury handbag' market. Make your product in the same factory as the econo handbag, with the same quality but, just jack the price, someone, if not many will desire that product. Not sure what Jeep is thinking, but bankruptcy might be one thought, which is a good thing for absolute rubbish.
With EV you get 7,500 off from feds not including state incentives and dealer discounts cause they dont sell. Thats part of why the resale is low cause people legit get 10k off their EV from the dealer.
I don't think banks are financing over MSRP anymore because of all the repos. The reason that the truck does not sell is that people have to put $15,000 more down because Banks are not in the business of financing air anymore.
My local chevy tried to sell me a truck before they had the title and then after they got the title they asked me to come down there for a test drive and when I got down there and waited for an hour they said it didn't pass inspection, trying to sell vehicles they haven't even looked at first....
