Birch polypore, I use the skin peeled off the top as a plaster if I cut myself when foraging. It's quite adhesive and works amazingly to stop infection. Especially good with a little squished yarrow if you pick it up along the walk.
are puff balsl the same as witches eggs? .. just remember being on a trip in woods (haha school trip i mean) and spotted a ball mushroom like that and i think spores also came out of it ..w as a long long loooong time ago though but the guide said there called witches eggs (don't know if thats sposed to bea nickname or real name)
Normally I'm averse to descending into the mire of popular garbage culture, but was that a "Rudolph" siting @ 3:35 - 3:37? First I looked around form an apple orchard… then I wondered how a deer could get a perfectly round apple that large into its jaws.

I think my tree has inonotus hispidus. If I eliminate that, can the tree survive or it will die? How can I solve this? I would be very grateful if someone can help me
Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to hear your tree may be affected by inonotus hispidus (bracket fungi). This fungus can cause the heartwood to decay, which can weaken the tree. This heartwood decay has usually happened by the time the fungus appears on the bark. It could make the tree more likely to fall over or if it is a branch that is affected then the branch may be susceptible to breaking off. This obviously presents a risk to people and property. I recommend that you seek expert advice to confirm whether it is inonotus hispidus and get an assessment of the tree's health and what needs to be done. A good place to start would be to look at the website of The Arboricultural Association, www.trees.org.uk/, which has lots of advice and details of tree surgeons and tree health experts near you. Best of luck.
I have a polypoor mushroom that looks like that turkeytail mushroom, it grows in rows on my log,which is a sycamore and is horizontal, is this edible? I loved your video. If you're not to busy and know what this is thatd be awesome if not thats ok too i still liked the video and will be subscribing. Thanks

Saw one of those puffballs in my woods in the dark I thought it was a bowling ball

No, not really much in the way of texture or substance in the first place. It is considered medicinal and a lot of people make tea with it.
