  • Tchaikovsky symphony 6 is just a big trick on the audience though, I’ll give them that.

The one audience member after the whole band goes silence for one beat of rest:

This happened in a jazz band concert at school, the piece wasn’t over, but only the band kids (including me) didn’t clap for the whole rest because the conductor’s hands were up. The ending was so awesome though, that piece was amazing😂😂😂

isn't it funny that this happens whenever everyone has like a measure of rest and they think the song is over and then the band comes in fortissimo and scared the living ossisbdiebwif out of them

It’s actually written in the score that the audience needs to clap in between movements.

Actually, this is only "forbidden" very recently... If you go back even 80/90 years, people used to clap between movements.

I mean why do they put multiple songs into one?

Typically it’s because all of the songs tell a sort of story, and by themselves they wouldn’t make sense
At least, that’s what I think

I say clap when you feel moved, most of the celebrated titans of western classical music expected applause after each movement. If they're doing a live recording, ok, maybe wait ... but that's an extenuating circumstance.
