Likewise! Hard to believe ALL THAT loud, rebellious fun was crammed into a decade! In your opinion, (exactly) WHEN DID music ACTUALLY "die:" When John Lennon passed away or when grunge arrived?
***** No time like the 80's and the non-stop hits from the Glam Rock / Big Hair Bands (in my opinion). Although I was never a fan of Lennon or Grunge, it was Grunge that thinned out the numbers at Metal concerts and slowed that era. However, the Big Hair music remains popular and bands still producing have picked up next generation fans. There are a few newer bands that I selectively listen to with stage presents such as Adelita's Way, Three Days Grace, etc. Still liking some heavy stuff like Five Finger Death Punch also.
The harmonies sounds like something off of The Elder to my ears... Kiss did a good job with tweaking their sound for the trends in music while still keeping true to KISS.
@@Gods33Acres No they arent, this is Mark playing on Thrills In The Night. Bruce played the solo on Lonely Is The Hunter and the outro solo on Murder In High heels.
Wow what memories. This video was comprised of live tour footage recorded in Michigan and Ohio, and all the lip synced chorus parts (with Paul near the mic where he’s wearing a green neon tank top and his hair is flawless) were taped after sound check, right after lunch in an empty Cobo arena the day of the Detroit concert with nobody in the building except crew. Paul was the primary focus for the video shoot there in Detroit; however Bruce, Gene and Eric also all did their own filler shoots, which are clipped in here as well.
The KISS stage... iconic for every tour and one of many reason the die hard KISS fans like them. Glad they did quite a few music videos on them from 79-87.
Where we enjoyed the rock shows and pump our fist in the air. No mobiles in our faces at the shows. This song rocks. No generations come close. The new generation likes our music. Great song great album one of my fave ...real heavy guitaring and professional shredding in this album.topped with eric's double bass metal attack ..it's amazing ..it's a real shame that mark st John wasn't really visible after this album was released. They should've made more film clips and videos with him while he was around ...but never mind at least he played on this again amazing metal album ...
Kyriakos Savvopoulos Hell yeah he does. I'm a guitarist, but the drummer's role in any band is equally as important and can make or break the sound of the band as a whole. Eric Carr is probably the best drummer they ever had.
I'm amazed that Bruce could keep up with Mark St. John's rapid style guitar work when doing the video. shows how good Bruce really is. I wish he had done the guitar work for real on Animalize, it would have sounded awesome!!
This is no live recording. :) Also, the techniques used in the solo are fast but aren’t that hard. Might sound strange (don’t know if you’re a musician yourself and don’t want to judge or anything) but to play slow and accurate is often more of a challenge than to shred away. Vinnie Vincent for instance could only shred away but really was a sloppy player. Bruce and Bob on the other hand are probably the best players Kiss ever had. :)
We enjoyed little Vincent (two albums) and much less St. John (one album), Kullick spent twelve years in Kiss and the truth is he is an excellent guitarist, Vincent is shred he showed it in his solo career, however I would stay with Mark St. John, on a single album (Animalize) his execution is perfect and his technique incredible and I am almost sure that he was limited by Stanley and especially Simmons who does not like so technical solos.
Great guitar work from Mark St John, great chorus with great harmonies and a great vocal performance from Paul. I think the pre-chorus is a little weak, though, sounds more like it was lifted from The Elder.
