Am I the only one who thinks danny should be on the videos much more? Danny is just as knowledgeable and has a calm unbiased approach that I really like.
Glad to hear an improved sound. Loved my G410 LST. Couldn’t stomach the sound of the G425 LST. Switched to the Cobra LTDx LS this past year. The LTDx was definitely longer than the PING G410 LST, but not quite as forgiving. Looking forward to testing all the new drivers this year!
It's a great year for drivers! We've already begun filming some brand vs brand comparisons...PING definitely stacks up well and the sound is vastly improved. THanks for watching!
I play the G410 Plus and skipped the 425, partly because the incremental improvement didn't warrant the spend, but also because of the noise. Now the G430 sounds like a proper driver, and we see another incremental improvement, it may be worth a close look.
i was in the same spot as you. the g410 was my favorite. having used the g430, its just an easier driver to hit and helps keep the dispersion tighter even more. you wont regret getting it
I don’t care if other peoples don’t like it. this driver is a beast I have the G400 ping in everytime I held a new ping driver I feel at home meaning give me a new driver is going to be smashed I love the feels of the ping 425 or 430.
I think this year is the most competitive in Drivers....I have no idea which one i prefer Ping G430.....Callaway Paradym.....Titleist TSR2......Cobra Aerojet....Taylormade Stealth 2....all appear to be very very good Drivers.....look forward to testing them out Which one has stood out the most for you in every aspect ?....cheers all from Canada
Big fan of Thomas but Kevin is a closer match. Really wish you guys would do a more comprehensive shaft demo. From the data I wouldnt recommend the LST+black for Kevin but probably good match for thomas. LST not really suited for Kevin ….correct?
Right now, I am a 10-12 handicap in my early 60's. However, my big miss is left to right. I am between a G430 MAX and a G430 SFT. If I bought the SFT, I would put the weight in the DRAW and not the DRAW+ setting. My question is....how much difference is there between the SFT in the DRAW setting and the MAX in the DRAW setting? Would I even benefit from the SFT, or am I better off getting the MAX? Thanks so much....
Club speed down 4 mph vs the Aerojet. Is this all in the club or was it just one of those days that happened to be a little slower? That’s a big drop in just a couple days.
Lol, yes just the day. We actually tested PING the day before Cobra. We will do some brand vs brand comparisons here soon where the swing speed will be all aligned -- stay tuned !
So? After trying everything else; my Ping 425 Max outperforms them all as long and fairway finder. The noise it emanates is actually musical. To buy a 430 vs 425 cause of sound is silly logic
Thomas has accepted an awesome opportunity elsewhere in golf. We’re hoping to work out a way to have him in videos in the future, but we are very thankful for all his contributions to the channel. And we’re very excited for more of the new personalities you may have seen on our channel in the past couple of months!
I hope they still kept the brightness to the sound (can't stand the thud of the the taylormade stuff) but the G425 was unusable to me so good to see acoustic revision
the G425 sounds totally different depending if you are the 1 swinging it vs observing someone swing it. It sounds really much nicer as the 1 swinging. but in either case it's too loud to use for indoor golf. not good for the ears.
Honestly the looks are the worst thing for me. The little raised dots, matte finish that will show every scratch, neon green accents. I wish it looked like a titleist from address. That being said, I'll play it.
@Traplordsosa scratches happen eventually to every club, wiping with a towel that has a little bit of sand, a alignment rod gets up in the driver headcover, your buddy gets too enthusiastic putting your wedge back in your bag for you. Have you ever seen a used/demo club rack at a golf store?
@@PremusRed yeah those clubs are all in nightmare shape. I am headcover on at all times. I take good care of my clubs. Even put a protective layer on the topline to ensure there is no damage on my clubs. I have mostly played matte crown drivers and never had issue with them marking up. Also they don't glare in your face on the tee.
@@Traplordsosa I personally prefer gloss finishes because you can use car detailing products to restore scratches and minor dings really easily. What protective layer do you add?
@@PremusRed i would worry about totally destroying the crown and making it look way worse. Honestly silly as it might sound…. Electrical tape. Just on the topline. It has saved my clubs quite a lot. Esp fairways and hybrids that can be really easy to get a bit steeper on. Though credit to ping their paint is tough. I have gotten away with a good number of bad shots lol. My friend who swings 120 has chipped his though. He murders the ball.
Ping finally puts some effort into making their driver sound better but it is ugly as sin! Ping always figures out a way to ruin the looks, sound and feel of their drivers. My tsr3 is a beautiful jet black Ferrari and this is an early 80's ford tempo!! Lol

@@codycook3382 In design language absolutely. I can't stand a gloss crown on a driver so Titleist is a hard pass for me. Also feel is totally subjective. Danny sucks
Danny comes across as too biased for the new stuff to me. See the TSR videos. Too much marketing spiel. Loving Kevin Kraft.
You've got to be kidding.

Can you compare the 425 max to the 430 max and LST please😀
Placed my order today, can’t wait to start gaming the 430 LST. Immediate switch from my current gamer 425 LST.
Excited to try these from my 410 lst. From the reviews I’ve seen, I might have to go up to 10.5 if I stay with lst

Question for Kevin....Ping or Callaway...

not silly at all. if you have a relatively high swing speed & do on occasion play indoors, the G425 is too loud for your ears.
Just wondering, what happened to Thomas? Hope all is well for him.
There is a video with him from yesterday...

Are you swinging the Stiff or X-Stiff during this?
Seems like Kevin was way more excited about the Callaway Paradym during testing than the Ping and Aerojet.
425 is the fairway finder, not debatable but 425s & 430 are middle pack ball speeds. So for a consistent player the other options are better.
Engineering perfection!!
Im the only one who loves the sound of the G425 😔

this test would have been better using the same shafts... they are all the same adapter... not sure why you wouldn't keep it the same.
PING, please make a 9° SFT
👀
Gotta mix it up with different guys once and a great while
Nice swing

Very weak performance from PING here - obviously could just be the day or it doesn't suit him as well. Interesting though
