A misdemeanor for looting a citizen's house while in a position of trust? Absolutely sickening that they got off so lightly.

That is the premise behind the ACAB ideology. All cops have immunity, so any cop can choose to do whatever they want at any time. They act like humans most of the time to trick people into a false sense of security. Qualified immunity and general court refusal to prosecute any police crime is effectively terrorism for profit.

If I had to guess it's probably so that they can use the bathroom. Also you have to be able to turn it off when it's not in use/ not on duty so the battery isn't just being used for no reason. But yes it should be against police policy to ever turn off their camera when on duty and not in the bathroom.

I remember being pulled over once down there. Cop insisted Canadian drivers licenses aren't valid in Idaho (they are) and that the only reason I'd be traveling through the state with a thousand in cash is to buy drugs. I had to have a special trial over my property but they kept changing the date last minute so I missed it and they ruled against my property. Like buddy why would I go to Idaho for drugs. I'm in Canada. We have that here too, and without crossing border security. His insistence I was a criminal was the most infuriating part. Since he's clearly part of a gang who shake down foreigners.
