Love the video WB. I wanted to point out you missed another all in one synth pedal for roughly the same price point: Source Audio C4 Synth pedal. For all you Americans out the 251 euros roughly translates to about 275 USD. Loved the overview though and loved your R&D process. I’ve thought of building several different pedal boards myself. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Jack! You’re right, C4 definitely and would love to try it. But also I guess we could also add the digitech bass synth wah (2nd hand), keeley synth-1, Boss synth pedals…etc) 🤘🏻
You are so delighted with this board, its great, lol. I dont seem to have any luck with the octaver. I do keep trying however🤔. I have a Mooer copy of the Diamond yellow, I'ma try!
Most (if not all) analog octavers do tend to go a bit wild every now and then, but that’s their charm! And yes, compressors help. Also try turning down the tone knob of your bass. 😉
Those pedals do sound quite good, we've come a long way when it comes to lower priced equipment. Especially the modulation and time-based effects are up to par. And the filter and octave are not bad at all either. Fuzz is always a bit tricky, isn't it? Gain effects in general must be the ones we're the pickiest about.😁 Personally I'm all for mini sized pedals. TC Electronic makes some great compact sized pedals as well, which are sold cheap on the second hand market. I suspect it's because many folks either dont't know they can tweak them on the PC or they don't know it's possible.
The whole point here is having fun while experimenting. Zoom makes great stuff, I still have my old 506 II !!! and Sy-1 is a powerful little pedal for sure. 👍🏻
Okay. I’m impressed. I didn’t expect the octave to be an OC-2 clone, the Envelope filter sounded great and of course you went for a Rat!
😂🐀 4 ever…
Thank you for this. I was looking at the Sonicake range with bass in mind and hoped someone had tested them. I'm impressed... Subscribed!
Perfect video and description. Good job
Thanks!

Great review of these lesser priced pedals. The Cry-Bot is the one I think I'd go for.
Cool! I certainly like how the cry-bot sounds and feels. 😉

Absolutely! I was pleasantly surprised too and that’s why I decided to build this permanent pedalboard.
when are you releasing the bass compressor shootout video?
Stacking up pedals and waiting for a couple of builders to send me their creations… hopefully by October/November 🤞🏻
What flanger pedal would you recommend that could be considered a cheaper clone of the BF-2 please?
I know little about flangers… 😅 but the one on the Sonicake 5th dimension is quite musical (and you get more modulation effects…)
@@thewetterbass and do you like the sound of its phaser too?
@kameronwraithd.k.5363 it’s ok, yes. In general, I think it’s a good pedal for the price. It does the job! It’s the kind of pedal I keep just in case…
The Soaked Bass
Well we know the on/off switches work
🤨?
HA! Now I know ;)

Занимательно. Никакого снобизма. Творчество и эксперименты по доступной цене. Здорово!
