    When I first got saved I had a NIV Bible. I read the entire New Testament. I got into learning everything I could which included Bible Translations. Upon learning the NIV 2011 Bible was a "Liberal translation" and used Gender neutral language I decided to go with a "Conservative translation" Like the ESV. Now I went through the entire Old testament with the ESV. Since I ended up getting into finding old Bibles through antique/thrift type shops so I came across about 5 KjV Bibles. I had no issue with the KJV but I was led to believe the modern translations were right because they used "older" manuscripts. I would argue with "KJV Onlyist" and being ignorant and arrogant thinking I knew so much I wouldn't consider what they tried to show me. But God one day opened my eyes to the truth. And it was when I was comparing the ESV with KJV. Don't ask me why I was doing this but I understand now why I was meant to do it. It was none other than 12:40 ACTS 8:37! I litterally paused when I seen that missing in the ESV. That didn't sit right with me at all! That's when I went down the rabbit hole taking these KJV only claims serous. Long story short. I Am KJV only now! Thank the lord for opening my eyes to his true and perfect word in the King James Bible! And it reads so beautifully! Even if these modern versions weren't Perverted, us just constantly updating with dumb down language is leading to the downfall of English language!

      Thank you so much for sharing your journey. I too used to embrace the modern versions. You can have all the answers to every argument but in the end pride is the one thing that keeps people from the Truth. KJB believers are consistent in their view of the Scriptures. Inspiration without Preservation becomes empty of all aithority.

      I agree completely with your assessment as well . I have other translations of the Bible and I've read them and I never receive deep understanding from the Holy Ghost when I do. When I go back to my Kjv it feels like like God is speaking to me again, if that makes sense. When I originally looked at a nkjv I thought it would be a great Bible changing words like Thou and thee to more modern words, but they didn't just do that only. They removed verses and changed words to different words that had different meanings. It sad because a lot of young people are getting led astray from the Kjv by all these modern versions and they say it's because I don't understand a lot of the words. I say get a Bible dictionary and look them up. Don't rely on some wrong translation modern version, study for yourself, which I believe the kjv requires us to do. God bless!

      Although Textual Criticism had a noble goal in the beginning, i.e. find the original text of the bible, it has accomplished the complete opposite. Instead of receiving what God has given us in the Textus Receptus and all scripture prior to the King James Bible, Textual Criticism has submerged us into doubt, uncertainty, questioning, and ultimately undermined the AUTHORITY of Scripture. I understand its intent but it's fruit is very evident. Consider this, every creed, catechism, confession and confidence of our church forefathers was built upon the Textus Receptus. The Critical Texts simply call everything of our past ecclesiastical history into question. The Critical Text is slowly but surely stripping away the veracity and and authority of scripture. It's the ole, "Yea, hath God said..." device the enemy has been using for years. Anything that causes you to doubt God's word is an attack from Satan. People accuse the KJV ONLY position of causing division when, in reality, this was never an issue for hundreds of years until Textual Criticism came on the scene in the late 1800s. In fact it wasn't even known or identified as the King James Bible until it had to be distinguished from the modern Bibles that started appearing. For years the Bible was known and identified simply as "The Holy Bible". I'm just simply pointing out the truth. Just be honest with what Textual Criticism and the Critical Text have produced. Doubt, confusion, uncertainty, division, heresy, biblical illiteracy, undermined the authority of scripture, apostacy, etc. These are some fruits the Critical Text has produced.

    Years ago a friend and I were discussing the story of Sodom and Gomorrah where the KJV says the sodomites wanted the Angels to come out so that they could know them and I told my friend about how the word know means to have sex with them. And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived. Then the next thing Lot said was don't do this evil unto them, My friend said his Bible doesn't say that I forget what version he had but, it read to bring them out so that we might understand them, How would understanding them be an evil act? I find it interesting that even these days when A guy sees a pretty girl he might say I would like to get to know her and that doesn't mean he wants to understand her it means he wants to have sex. So yes we must be careful with these translations the Bible did warn us not to add a word or subtract words from the Bible TC.

The King James is the only one that uses the Textus Receptus (Recieved Text) Aka Majority Text which is alex the majority text for a reason! Not only is their WAAY more of them, they agree and were used by almost everyone. There was no reason once so ever for the modern translations to do what they did unless they unknowingly or maybe some knowingly were being used by Satan to try and Pervert God's word which they have with the moder. Translations and everyone that uses them. Please go get yourself a beautiful King James Bible and indulge in the beauty of God's true word in the height of our English language. A circumstantial case for the Comma of John: In 484 A.D. the bishop of Carthage with 400 bishops quoted the comma to an Arian Vandal king. Being the bishop of Carthage, he would have had access to the Scriptures of Cyprian, and he probably had a Vulgate, maybe a first edition. Also, Gregory Nazianzus wrote on the grammar, and he had a student named Jerome. Seems strong evidence to me. Blessings.

    • @marcgunz
      @marcgunz 2 месяца назад

      saved in KJV is correct also being saved is correct when you understand the context - salvation is not a process we are saved once we believe in Jesus that salvation continues through our life unto glorification so when the text reads being saved it’s talking about the ongoing salvation from the power of sin in our lives even though we are saved from sin , sin still works in us , we are saved from sin we are being saved from sin and we will be saved from sin in our bodies upon glorification. Salvation is instant but sanctification is ongoing , we were sanctified, we are being sanctified and we will be sanctified in our spirit soul and body at the return of Christ , also we are justified we are being justified and will be justified
      in the book of Acts the same principle is used when it says the Lord added to the church those who were being saved it dosent mean a process of salvation it means an ongoing salvation that people are turning to Christ

    • @puregospelevangelism
      @puregospelevangelism  4 месяца назад +6

      Many people think that - but it's wrong.
      If you look at the passage carefully, Matt 7:13-14 is contrasting opposites, i.e., "wide & strait" and "broad & narrow".
      To use words like "hard" or "difficult" is objectively wrong and completely misses the point of what Jesus is trying to teach. This is why CONTEXT needs to be consulted during the translation process. Jesus is teaching on the exclusivity of salvation in these verses. The "strait and narrow" is a reference to him being the only way you can be saved!

    My Church practices the baptism of newborns as a sign and seal of the covenant God makes with us as believers. They are baptized into the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and what the Father and Son and the Holy Spirit promise. It is not us making promises but God's covenant promises with His people. (same as the Old Testament Israel sign of circumcision. Baptism has replaced circumcision in the New Testament,)So having said that we as individuals have to make those promises our own. So in time, as a growing faith builds on God's promises the children grow in love in knowledge, and thankfulness, and in God's grace and mercy make a profession of faith publicly all confirming what God started with them at 8 days old. You, a sinner, will obligate God to save you because you think you have earned your way into heaven 🤣🤣. Kid you need to read the Bible. The Church is the body of believers. That was written hundreds of years before the Catholic Church was a thing since Rome outlawed and persecuted Christians until mid 300s. So no, the Catholic Church itself does not save you. Imagine reading the Bible and seeing Jesus said that salvation alone is through him. And if you repent and be baptized you will be saved. And then you go out in blasphemy and say that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church. And when God asks you why you deserve to be in heaven, instead of the real answer because you put your faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that he died for my sins and without him am a failure. You will say, because I’m a good Catholic boy 🤦‍♂️. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. In James where you get wrong about faith is dead without works is not literally saying go do works as a requirement to enter heaven. Only heathens want to be seen doing good to show they have works to boast. James was referring to if you have the spirit, you will naturally have a change in heart. You will help the poor when before you would have told them to get a job. If you do not have the Holy Spirit, you will continue living with a hardened heart that shows no fruits. Please stop spreading lies that only one denomination can save you.
