Got this for my wife, it's her primary dress watch. If you want something with a beautiful movement on a budget, this is the watch you should be getting.
Watch Geek, do you still like this watch with the sapphire crystal, or do you regret not getting the acrylic? Simply curious because so many users say the acrylic is the one to go for. I like both, guess I just can't decide.
sad they even dont sell small parts, you have to find parts on broken movements / watches - this is what i do in France : buying broken ST19 watches ... (and some 4R35/NH35 watches too) 🤣: now i'm also searching for some movements (one with a balance missing) how to "sell parts" to people ...
Well, that and because it's very much machine finished through and through with a QC level that allows flaws to get out easily. Usually an ST-19 movement watch is going to have some level of quirks based on how well the machine was manufacturing that day and for that specific movement. That's why when I did buy a watch with this movement I got one that was assembled outside of china where it's done manually and QC can be handled by a microbrand instead.
I agree, this is a beautiful watch for the price. So understated.

Only problem with this movement is that you can’t order parts separately. If something breaks, you’ll have to replace the whole movement.
That said, the ST19 is pretty cheap last I looked. Not NH35A cheap, but still not a ton of money for an entire movement swap.

@@SQueme mine is sitting in the drawer since 2017 without it's balance wheel 😂

I have one with plastic crystal 👍 total agree about quality.
yea, you made me thinking ... 🤔
With a bracelet of beads of rice it must look so nice
I really love this timepiece, but it is a little too much for my slender wrist unfortunately.
It's 38mm! There is a 40mm version, but this one is one of the smallest watches you can buy
@@WatchGeek It's more about the thickness.
Ahaaa, makes sense
thickness is ok for me (its a chronograph after all), since this 38mm does compensate
It's amazing watch but it's too big for my wrist
I got sick when i saw that Pandas are "made in China" too... so cheap and unreliable, a faux bear indeed !!!😜😂😂😂
Price is low because labour in China is cheap.

You're not paying for a big swiss name, Chinese ETA and similar style movements are very good.
