"What does that (fans in wheelchairs facing the hard camera) have to do with the crowd being quiet" "Well they weren't leaping out of their chairs Bryan" The silence that followed was amazing.
I've always wondered why everyone says nash "lawn darted" mysterio ... he just threw him like a regular dart. a lawn dart is thrown upwards and then falls straight to the ground. He just darted him. not sure why that has always stuck out to me.
Because the move where you launch a guy head first into the middle turnbuckle is called a Lawn Dart. So replace the buckle pad with a trailer and he lawn darted him into it
During the backstage beatdown, eagle eyed viewers may have noticed that Sting picks up the baseball bat and brings it with him on the ambulance. Amazing foreshadowing if intentional.
Even apter did a cover story in pwi weekly outing hogan as the 3rd man a couple weeks ahead of time. I was an 11 year old attending the July 1 nitro and told a bunch of adults that hogan was 3rd guy.. they laughed at me and said it was Yokozuna 😂
"Since the big turn at Bash at the Beach, nWo had been really really lame" Finally somebody agrees with me. I watched that turn by Hogan back in 1996, felt it was the biggest thing in recent wrestling history, and when I got the chance to watch Nitro the next time, I tuned in right at the moment when Hall and Nash put up the silly bedsheets. And somehow at that moment, I stopped giving a shit about this angle. And nowadays I'm actually rewatching that entire era, and guess what: the nWo was fucking lame. Especially once it became obvious that WCW was never going to beat them.
These are absolute gold. Cannot thank you enough. I know how much time and effort this would take, but if you could do a similar thing for Raw as well, it would be amazing. Thanks for everything. Really means a lot
2:29:50 I never liked this bit because they were using very similar imagery to the aftermath of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing, where two people died and several more were injured. A classic example of "too soon."
did they ever review that show, I cant remember if it was a PPV or a nitro where Hogan came out with fake hair, and Savage (I think) ripped it off halfway through?
haha cody vs pac. surprising how great you are after leaving wwe. cesaro, sami zayn, asuka, ember moon, rey mysterio, ricochet, finn balor, nakamura, rusev and all of the 205 live roster being buried weekly. the most talented jobbers
they do say he's a big man when Fire and Ice faced the Steiner's. Now by no means is Scott Norton a small man, but when he is compared to The Giant, I would consider him small too.

Completely agree with you. It can add so much to a character heel or face when the Closed Fist rule was in place. I remember loving it when the refs would say something to Flair about it and then Flair would sneak a couple closed shots in and the commentary team and crowd would lose it. It could also work for a face though to show that the face had had enough and just wanted to hurt his opponent. Sorry for such a long reply but I never hear anyone talk about closed fists anymore.
I know that when I was 11 I had no idea, but if you reread the Observer's from 1996, he does flat out say it's gonna be Hogan 2 weeks before. So some people definitely knew
listening to bryan's wife ignore and talk over craig was painful and rude. he seems like he may actually have insight into the problem. but no chick, run your mouth. you're definitely a better person than the 300lbs dude.
These are great. I could listen to Bryan and Vinny for hours.
And Craig. I know some don't get him but he adds a dimension to the show that somehow makes it even funnier.
Well, the video IS hours long, so...
Anyone but Dave is good lol
Great to come home from a late night shift to more of these
Thanks!
I always love when Bryan turns one word into two. Ren Agade lmao

They wont stand for this!
At least once an episode, Craig says something so funny and awful that it stuns them, what a guy.
He only needs one spot, and he makes it count 😁
Dick Slater being shot is the highlight of this entire block.

Greg Valentine being the third man of the NWO would've been amazing for wrestling history.
Hollywood Greg Valentine, and his brother, Don
“Scott Steiner is the only man who can do the move and not kill anybody”
Laughs in Rick Steiner spiking Rocco Rock
Yes, but the Steiner Brothers are definitely the only two men. In their prime they were such freaks of nature with how strong they were.

Whitney Alvarez has a lovely voice.
Randy Savage always taped his fists so the explanation doesn’t work
Duggan referred to Hogan as the "best technical wrestler" because he is a wrestler "technically".
I love these videos. Could you do month by month recaps for TNA as well?
These are absolute gold. Cannot thank you enough. I know how much time and effort this would take, but if you could do a similar thing for Raw as well, it would be amazing. Thanks for everything. Really means a lot
Are you doing Raw as well?
thank you, so pumped to hear this one!

Ehh aew's audience is dying. Stardust will be back to the midcard soon. NXT's audience is also going down, but wwe has the money to sustain it
Rajdeep K
Just like they had money to sustain ECW and the original version of NXT?

I dunno, I think Mongo punching the corner post and breaking his hand near the start of a PPV match feels like the bigger fuck up. XD

Closed fists used to be illegal in wrestling.

That is a radical idea.
I remember pwi weekly newsletter saying hulk was the third man a couple weeks ahead of time
@Lamar D. Jackson That doesn't disprove it at all. Also, the observer had it ahead of time as well.
