Bryan and Vinny describing The Faces of Fear in any fashion, let alone their entire play-by-play of their matches, is absolutely the best part of their shows. It's hilarious.
@@SomeDumbKid1 Very true. I'm not sure if it's the love of it all that makes these guys stay in the ring so long or the relative lack of financial security. Compare wrestlers to other types of athletes. It's a pretty insane industry.
After all this, I was confused by Macho and Liz joining the nWo. They had something interesting with Macho hanging around with Sting for a couple of weeks.
To some extent Macho must have realised if he wasn't part of the gang dishing out the beatings every week... he would have been receiving the beatings every week.
To me,the major push of Double J as a legitimate world champion in WCW is a much bigger part of WCW’s downfall than it gets credit for. Also Knobbs and Saggs sounds like a title of a weird porno...
@@drew3493 Jarrett was always a great wrestler but he was pushed way beyond his level in WCW, and was always miscast in both companies (if you've actually watched him outside of the WWF or WCW or TNA he was a great babyface performer).
@@wereallscrewed9714 Well a lot of wrestling crowds don’t find a show exciting unless they have a dick in their eye while they spectate. Can’t use that as the be all End all measuring stick for quality, one of them - but not the one.
mrpink99 Heyman in ECW famously lived by this mantra: “Accentuate the positives, hide the negatives” Unfortunately it seems they got too big for themselves because in WWF and WCW, folks were not entertaining that.
Just came back to listen to these again and the Pierre Carl Ouellet bit “he’s no Ricky Morton” kills me since he is still wrestling like Ricky (even now in 2021) and actually looks like a monster still. PCO was even headlining ROH shows recently if memory serves correct.
The weirdest thing about Hogan vs. Savage is the build is so personal and heavy, verging on dark, and then when get to Havoc they do a goofy comedy match.
I can never remember which team name is which, either, which is weird because Warlord is a Caucasian with no hair and Meng is a Polynesian with a huge mane of hair - they do not look a lot alike.
Forgot about the monster-truck, so that's monster trucks in the arena, crusier-weights, factions, evil boss, edgier theme, turning biggest face heel, heel faction ppv, ECW elements etc. etc. etc. that WWF ripped off Bischoff and WCW who were narratively incompetent and had one idea.
They mock the guy getting 10th, but like the top ten cars in a NASCAR race is a pretty impressive area to find yourself in. That's like important qualifiers for other bigger races.
I never understood Hacksaw's taped fists gimmick, how does just tape make your punch harder? It was always so stupid, and what was more confusing was how over he was in WCW, the fans loved him for some reason lol
1:420:00 don't feel bad craig, wwe put the main event of survivor series 1987 on the 2006 dvd as a bonus, had michael cole dub over the match (to avoid paying jesse ventura money, since his lawsuit victory back in 1994 meant they had to pay him any time they put stuff he called on new media, which dvd is), and more than once, cole said gang was dead. wwe never apologized for that, btw.

"They killed him to death!" Lol
"They beat him, they beat him... and then they beat him."
Mmmmm... What a way to wake up! Thank you, you're doing god's work.
The descriptions are the best.
My favorite is the Craig Pittman one
Thanks a lot my man - you are greatly appreciated!
It felt like 3 hours of hearing how awesome Meng & The Barbarian were. I hope for more of the same in November (no sarcasm) ...
MrTom28
I loved faces of fear
Welcome back and thanks.....
Oh man Another Nitro waiting for me while at work.
They totally sandbagged Craig's lunatic line
9:14 The race car driver for anyone interested is Jason Keller.
Yes, he was in the WCW car & Kyle Petty in the NWO car. And the WCW car won at Daytona that year too.
@@PhilipTheBigOne Jason was in the Slim Jim car. Greg Sacks and Steve Grissom drove the WCW car.
lol funny how they talked about PCO not wrestling with longevity in mind and he's the ROH champion now
How long ago was this recorded? They’re talking about Ricky Morton levels of longevity, which is a matter of decades.

Vinny was tweeting about the luger rack earlier today! Then this autoplays right on the rack segment....
I don't know why, but that Shira Shake song really made me laugh. 😅
I get goosebumps every time Brain says WE ARE AT WAR.

Basically, he was being blackballed and had to join the NWO to have a job
BigBlackBootyDaddy hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I like how he says that while featuring an avatar of NWO era Scott Steiner🤔
Ahmed Demha true. You wanna talk about someone who wasn’t shit without hogan: Scotty Steiner

could not agree more. Jarret was and always has been a joke.

2:29:00 roughly:
the quebec team actually moved to colorado, became the avalanche (it was the winnipeg jets that moved to phoenix).
I always imagined the Venn diagram of wrestling fans, NASCAR fans, and monster truck fans was one big circle.
Fan of all three myself, btw
who doesnt know what an oompa loompa is??
YES! Thank you
In 2019 Netflix still has a problem sometimes where it skips an episode for no reason
Netflix is garbage
Benoit & Guerrero had a bad match? I can’t believe that. Even their ECW: One Night Stand match was about average
I remember an Arnageddon match put the crowd to sleep

They wrestled so many times that even though they were best friends AND two of the greatest ever, not all of them could be great matches.
I tip my hat for the guys calling out Public Enemy. They absolutely sucked in WCW - and most of it was due to their performance.
Henrik Schmidt they were just as bad in ECW, it’s just that Heyman was able to apply enough turd polish to disguise their weaknesses
Henrik Schmidt Public Enemy thought they were hot shit in wrestling, they learned the hard way in WWF what people really thought of them .
mrpink99 Heyman in ECW famously lived by this mantra: “Accentuate the positives, hide the negatives” Unfortunately it seems they got too big for themselves because in WWF and WCW, folks were not entertaining that.
Andy Salcedo well, they had the shit part right
Andy Salcedo I know; I must have watched Rise & Fall of ECW 100 times. Still the best WWE documentary of all time.

Vinny. The Winnipeg Jets moved to Phoenix and became the Coyotes. The Quebec Nordiques moved and became the Colorado Avalanche.
I have a son named Cameron and the other ones name is Stone how weird lol
Stone? Oh boy how creative
The weirdest thing about Hogan vs. Savage is the build is so personal and heavy, verging on dark, and then when get to Havoc they do a goofy comedy match.
The beeps on vinny are classic !!!!
Powers of Pain were Warlord and Barbarian. Meng and Barb were The Faces of Fear.

Christmas came early!
It’s more Brian and Vinny vs the NWO!
I need a clip of Nash saying "thug life" 🤣
This is awesome. How far are you going to upload to? And any plans for retro Raw?

They're not knocking hin finishing good, they're knocking the segment for them celebrating 10th place like he won

Come for the Nitro talk, stay for the Shira shake.

Wasn't Waltman the 7th man?
1. Hall
2. Nash
3. Hogan
4. DiBiase
5. Giant
6. Fake Sting
7. Syxx
Retroactively. NWO Sting wasn't considered a member until later. He was a one off to fuck with the babyfaces in War Games
1:14:13🤣😅🤣😅🤣
The Cheetah Kid was Rocco Rock
I'm shocked OMG is still alive.
ELIZABET!

This is from 2015. Can you load the whole series up now?
Of course I can
Wait this isnt 2015... WHY did alvarez say "its 2015!!" ... lol
Yes it is 2015 when they are reviewing wcw
Xbox lol
I thought this was recent observer
