@@telemachin it's absolutely meta. Its as if the characters inner world is effecting the the actual physical reality of the medium which they inhabit. The film is aware of its own constituing elements. The silence of the film's characters so intense that it destroys part of the medium through which we're observing them, like it's breaking through from within into another reality. It's like the subject of a painting ripping through the canvas on which he is painted.
Still one of the most impactful scenes, that true silence is like a punch in the gut!
"“Don't you hate that? Uncomfortable silences?." (From Pulp Fiction)
Watching these clips a couple of weeks ago made me find this movie.I love it!!!
Just out of this world. Jean-luc is a genius
If they went the full minute this scene will be even crazier. 36secs feels like forever
Thank you for this! What a great moment
Rip claude brasseur ... sad day
RIP Anna Karina
Very meta
Absolutely not.
@@telemachin why?
the whole movie is very meta, at the end of it Godard even says to the viewer that it's just a movie shot in Academy ratio and in black and white
