The moment you hear someone celebrating that he can "upgrade" to a stinger.... sounds so surreal.
Well, it beats walking, I guess.
"I used to be a Mech warrior like you, until I took a laser pointer to the eye. . . Damn battle armor."
😆
Ubiquitous: you-BI-qui-tus
Means: universal, found everywhere.
-the dude who taught you how to say "Night Gyr"
Loved the whole "Battle Armor - Elemental" section of the playthrough. After all the Elementals, and my particular favorite Elemental, Evantha Fetladral, were responsible for a great number of the Mech Kills during the original Clan Invasion, using those very same "Swarm" tactics with their Boarding Claws. So very good to see Elementals finally being shown some Roguetech love.
The light mine turret luckily only has one-shot mine dispensers, so you can ignore it after it blew its load. The Arrow IV turret in a half skull mission is really rough, though.
20:48 Poking the Locust pilot's eye with the tag lasers, making him blind and suffer injury.
That's hilarious
even more so coz doing that on purpouse! ))
A freakin Arrow IV on a 1/2 skull...rough.
It would be great if you could put the Elementals into the ACP.
And then unload them in front of the enemy.
American Teutonophile here: Ubiquitous (English is weird, I know) is pronounced “you-bih-quit-us” it means you can find it, and therefore parts for it, anywhere. It’s a “Walmart” brand ‘Mech.
I was just trying to figure out how to explain the pronunciation, then thought to check the comments to see if someone already had.
Also, I had to look up what the hell a Teutonophile is - never even knew that was a thing! Thanks for the random, unexpected lesson in an undefined topic.
@@David_Fellner Hey, anytime! I've studied a lot of languages, but I'm still essentially unilingual. I figure as long as that's the case, I may as well try to master the one. Anything less would be floccinaucinihilipilification.
@@MashUpMasterVoivode Hah, yeah, I'm not even gonna try with that one. But judging by the look of the word, it would fit right in in George Carlin's bit called "Count the Superfluous Redundant Pleonastic Tautologies."
ubiquitous is my favourite word of all times #2
(Philip Dick loves to use it, at least i've learnt it from his book)
the #1 is icicle (the most hilarious)
the #3 is serendipity (for the coplex meaning)
@@flashbackflip I've always enjoyed the word "viscosity." It has this contrast of syllables that I find fun to say. And, of course, "clitoris" - ignoring its definition - has a nice, smooth sound that just rolls off the tongue in a pleasant way.
The death from above issue is because of the uneven terrain, if you pan around some you will see it better.
man that was an epic episode - making an educated guess about TAG-poking in the eye and doing exactly that with the result! WOW! Priceless))
on a side note - i am shocked by the granularity of RT - that thing is made by true maniacs XD
I must advice you to prioritize any mech with royal designation, they all have fixed royal heatsink which not only use DHS but reduce weapon heat. My favorite would royal crab, especially the SL model with jump jet, really good hit and run mech and good headshot with the right build.
Lots of fun watching you work through these early missions 🙂
I am also a DM and aberrations are great! Love the grossout/freakout factor they have for the players (especially new ones!) Love seeing you talk about dnd and not editing out the headphone battery swap. Its nice to see a little more "behind the curtain" of my favorite mechwarrior.
was gonna say exactly this, I think its cute how hes like OH LOOK AT THIS MODEL :D!!!! hahahaha
Thanks for sharing some content today! It always makes the day better!
🙂
You need to wait till you get sensors to use the BA barrage, otherwise the -5 to hit kills you in early game. I don't mind short episodes, whatever you need to do to keep your health up! Enjoy your Otyugh!
BattleTech and DnD forever... Nice...
oh gawd were going to see a 10 tag op shot specialist trying to headshot mecs for full salvage now arn't we
I recommend to take anything REX Laser. They are really good!
@Bara Can I suggest you resize your facecam a bit smaller (at least vertcally) & possibly move its position up a bit to avoid blocking the LHS of the UI readout while in combat? TVMIA
Around 25 years ago, I was playing a session set in the ruins of Myth Drannor in the Forgotten Realms setting. The dungeon had an otyugh living in the bottom of an ancient privy (not sure how it was surviving on centuries old waste, but blame TSR). After getting attacked by the thing, the play group forever afterwards referred to that creature as the "shit monster."
Yep, that has been the name I always called it. One of them. Crap eater, Dung devouter. Only ever encountered one in Baulders Gate 2 I think it was.
I encountered one in a module called arapanathic i think it was.. it was created by a wizard that happened to be taking a crap when he was attacked by an ooze. He had a rod of power that he decided to break in order to escape. Needless to say he didn't make it out alive but he did create a shit monster.
I'm still wondering if he used his 3d printer to build that mini or if it is a store bought figure?
@@matthewsleppy1118 sounds like Dungy from Rappan Athuk. Not an Otyugh but a unique shit monster which I think was immune to lots of damage types
@@yhnujmik987 yeah that's him I never read the module so never saw his stats. We just ran away from him.
What are you doing? Let them bleed out. Kill the meat, save the metal!
Good mission! Always nice to see Bara having fun.
For the Maxim APC, as an APC, can you load Battle Armor into it so they move faster?
Loved the little DnD anecdote!
You-bic-wah-tis
Ubiquitous.
Thanks for the video.
Yeeeeaaaahhhh!!!! Thanks, Oliver 💪😃🤗😻🤭
tell us how the trash monster does in DnD! love the channel bud keep up the good work
You-bick-wa-tus
I usually say "wi" instead of "wa" but I think both are acceptable. Ubik-we-tuss?
Ubiquitous == "you-BICK-wit-us". Means "you can find it everywhere".
Wrench looks like Naomi Nagata from the Expanse
100% Correct (nice to see another Expanse Fan out here in the Periphery)
@@taishuansatsusha4170 it’s an awesome near future sci-fi series
Woohoo Roguetech
Yu-bik-wi-tus
I am a little late but yoo·bi·kwuh·tuhs.
You-Bih-Qwih-Tuss - Ubiquitous - :D
Sounds like "yoo·BI·kwuh·tuhs"
means found everywhere.
A Otyugh as first encounter?!?
Did you scale it down, or are your players starting with a couple of levels?
Or do you want to kill a couple? :)
Four Players, we start at level 3. They also have an NPC mentor at their side (veteran stat block) and the town square is full of meat shields ... I man "innocent bystanders". The directive of the monster is 1) Feed 2) Defend itself. The player characters are probably not getting attacked in the first 1-2 rounds. They also have the option to call for the city guard if they want to split the glory.
@@Baradul Sounds fun :D
What Headset is that? I've been looking for a new pair and those looks sweet to interchange the batteries and what not!
Ubiquitous = You-Bick-Quit-Us
Danke war gut
1:06 It's pronounced you-bick-wit-us.
However, I will buy one battle armor - as a toy - we will see :) :) :)
Yayy!
UBIKWITUS
Assassin Mechs are messed up too, default they have no power cores
The way you say that word is like this you bik wit us in American English.
I think the light point defense turret is laser AWS?
Hex movement = Engine rate / 'Mech tonnage
It seems kind of odd to me that a hover vehicle sets off so many landmines while traveling over them.
not if they are proximity sensor mines
It is a pity, because it would be nice to play battle armor, but it is not usable. Low firepower at a distance, slow ... and really a waste of time.
Sad to say, this is not a good campaign.
