With the change in government regulations and shift of demand, single cab pickup trucks are becoming a thing of the past. All the newer trucks I see on dealership lots are usually very large and luxurious. But personally, I would much rather have something like this. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.

Another reason why you don’t see that specific model of truck anymore is some were set up for Drag Racing as they will take a big engine but another reason why they disappeared is because that model truck is popular for a Chassis Swap with older GM Trucks like 1947 I think through 1955 there’s a bolt on kit to swap the 47-55 Body onto the more modern Chassis that has an independent front suspension with disc brakes will take anything from a SBC to an LS and then the rear end can be swapped out for something like a Ford 9”

If they made one of these with the 2.0 NA 200 hp 4 cylinder and sold them cheap I bet they would fly off the shelves. I’d love a small efficient pick up truck

    I'd drive it. I daily drive a 1990 Chevy C1500 Silverado and a 1999 Ford Explorer V6, you can't beat older vehicles.

Government meddling is to blame as usual.
Those little trucks are so handy as work vehicles.... Simple, efficient ,reliable, durable and you can actually reach in to get tools and stuff without a dang step ladder.

Funny that you mention it, because all of the US' trucks ended up in México thanks to the big demand over here

I would love to have a truck that could haul around some stuff but still fit in normal parking spots. But no everything needs to be a max width extended cab that can seat 6 and is almost too long even when you pull through. Thanks EPA.

I like when people think hand crank windows are easier to maintain. Personally working on both, the electric ones are way easier. Not to mention the single speed electric motor has been around 200 years or so. Not really new tech.

Lack of demand? Plenty of people want this. The truck has become one of the most popular vehicles, and so has getting good mileage, a mini truck would be awesome. The Ford maverick is the smallest truck I know of, and it is still fairly big compared to an S10. The ranger and Colorado and other mid size trucks should have easily been re-introduced as compact trucks, not mid size trucks.

Damn, I'm looking for an old S10/S15 square body right now but they are either to trashed or out of my budget. That one looks damn good.

Reliable and Chevy are like oil and water... which is also an issue Chevy tends to have. They just can't keep them separated.
