I'm starting off into the world of HD FPV in 2021. Got DJI stuff, got an HD1 built and flying, and it's iced and snowed for the last 3 days.. Winter in southern Missouri isn't quite like winter in Florida..
Your flying is much smoother on the eyes compared to other freestyle pilots I used to watch all the time but now just can’t because of the incessant flipping and rolling and what not lol my eyes can’t handle them anymore.
Just had my maiden cvatar flight a few days ago and both rear motor bell housings came off about 50 feet up...lol. A truly fitting end to 2020. I guess they didn't install the motor shaft c clips well at the factory.
I have built over 100 analog kwads in past three years ( therapy after severe trauma) now i am converting all to DJI Digital. I need $ to buy air units !! Damn that $1200 would have been 10 air units (10 more digital kwads to fly) bummer .... oh well ....Happy New Year ...Mr Drew
I need to built/fly my first quad soon or even at least get a decent controller to practice properly or gonna fucking die..you guys don't know how lucky you are .... stay in the air drib you're an inspiration
Yeah I can relate too, just finished my rebuild of an eMax Hawk sport that were dropped into a lake... HATED to wait for the parts to arrive, but LOVED to take it for a spin yesterday 😁
My drone is my tool of trade since I got my drone herding goats it's made life super easy I helped my chickens keep the skies clear of hawks can be avoided with just simple freestyle around the trees no more chasing animals on foot or falling off four wheeler

I feel your pain I just broke everything but the fc and vtx. And just got some hypetrain v1and v2 off a buddy but of course the screw snapped on the bottom on motor. And the replacement bells don't exist that I can find. I swear that thing was welded in there. I used soldering iron to heat it up and everything. Gotta love fpv right.🤯🤦♂️
I have a new rtf skyeliner HD on order from December 19th. I’m excited and new to FPV. Gonna be flying big open fields no obstacles or trees at very first. I’m sure stuff will break and need to be ordered and fixed. What is the best soldering iron and soldering wire to use in your opinion. Which one do you use? Mount the camera on the center axis of a servo controlled by a switch. Then you could rotate the camera 180deg and "fly inverted"
