Nice to see you walking down the older part of Porto never tire of this part town whenever we stay the rustic charm and artwork these buildings are really amazingly beautiful, am going to miss this as sadly will no longer be able Travel so far, brings back happy memories

The Bodega restaurant you walked past Kev was great, proper Spanish homemade fare, reasonable prices as well, get fed up with being served with overpriced swill in a few places down south by you know who….
@@ScotsmaninTenerife I live in England but have visited Puerta a lot of times. It is my favourite short haul destination. I emailed the Monopol and they confirmed that they do have double room with walk on shower. Hoping to visit for a month in December. Cheers
Seen quite a few holidays there but never been sure enough to go as it's off the beaten track as they say. Then again, went to Los Gigantes or therabouts about 10 years ago and had a nice fortnight. I am curious about it so I might give it a go. What's the transfer time as I'm assuming you fly to the South airport? The biggest drawback to Los Gigantes was, after a +4H flight, we then took another 3 Hours to get to the hotel after passing through the airport and dropping everyone else off. My legs were cramping badly at that point, very painful.
Last time I was there was the 80s canny times with the lads and lasses

Long transfer could easily be 3 hours if stopping at hotels to be honest.

How far is puerto de la cruz from the airport. Thinking of December , would you recommend puerto de la cruz or Costa del silencio or Las americas
1.5 hours transfer approx maybe more, Costa del silencio too quiet for me. Check out the playlists i have done loads of video in las americas.
If you had kept walking you will come back into the centre.
