I’ve been getting consistent 4s in my maths and I have worked really hard to change that so I’ve been doing lots of past papers and maths tutoring and I did a past paper by myself today and I got 52/80 in paper 1. Pretty sure if I was marked on this paper only it’s a grade 7. I’m just worried that I will mess up tomorrow.

Ever since year 9 I have been getting 4/5 in maths (AQA) and only recently (around march) I started doing lots of past papers and learning the questions I got wrong. Just by doing this I've been getting consistent 7/8 and sometimes even a 9 in past papers. I need a 7 for sixth form but I'm hoping to push a bit more 🙏 best of luck to everyone I also get really nervous during exams so I always do worse than in class/at home so hopefully I don't mess this up as it's my only chance

don't stress! If you got an 8 in the mocks, this shouldn't be a problem, as you have 3 chances this time to get an 8 overall. Honestly, i found the maths papers for gcse easier than my mocks by a great margin, especially paper 2 it's always really easy.

honestly that is more than achievable, because you gotta remember you have 3 chances over 3 papers, so even if it doesn't go well this paper, you have 2 others to redeem yourself. That being said, make sure to really use this time effectively so you do manage to do the best you can on tomorrow's paper so the workload decreases for papers 2 and 3. Generally speaking, paper 2 is usually the easiest and paper 1 is usually the hardest
okay please please be honest. I'm expecting to get a 5 in tomorrows paper, however I need to get a 7 minimum but really need an 8 for a level so if I get really good scores in p2 and 3 it'll be possible? Idk if It's possible. I have a similar situation in psychology tomorrow where I'm expecting to get a 2 in tomorrows paper (only knowing 1 topic and briefly another) but need a 4, so I need to learn the 4 topics in psychology by next week to make up for tomorrow.
if you get a 5 in tomorrows paper, to get a 7 overall you're really gonna have to do more than well for the other two papers to push the grade up, which will be difficult, but not impossible. For now just focus on getting the best you can for tomorrow's paper and you can then work out roughly what to do from then on, good luck!
