Hi Diedre.I have always cut my stems small and cooked them with the Greens, just like my Mother and Grandmothers. That’s where the Vitamins are.
Save time though. Just Roll the Leaves up and Chop them all together at the same time. Then all you have to do is cut the part of the stem that is left.

Hmmm. Thanks, Auntie Ellen. I will try that next time! I don't know how my hubby will feel about the smaller leaf pieces, but we'll definitely give it a gander. 😁 ❣️💜💜💜❣️

Mmmm! Those greens look delicious! And the pot liquor for liquid in the rice. That's going to have some serious flavor. Awesome job! I find that home grown greens stems aren't tough so I ad them in too.👍🏾

Thank you! You are right - anytime I can add it to the rice, I do. It'll make you hurt yourself! 😁😁😁

Hey Master Chef, it looks really good. Would you believe I made green stem pie with my greens. ITS taste like sweet potato pie. Idid that. I also made hush puppies with the stems, put in the food processor and ate with my greens. Since I'm a Junior Chef😂. Have an awesome day

Ohhhh. That sounds yummy! Do you have a video on them? I'm no master chef; that title would have to go to my hubby. 😁

@theanalyticgardener I don't have a channel. I'm a great grandma. I don't know how to do that video stuff. I created a channel years ago. I use to make soaps and stuff. But, no one to help me know how to do it. Have an awesome day
