Some additions: 11) Know your Meta: the key to fast looting (or if you need to loot at all) is constantly tracking what you need in your inv slots, what are your second best choices, which pieces need to improve. 12) Be flexible and experiment with other metas. Maybe you start off loving the burst AR, but find out later that the striker is a lot better for tracking moving targets. The soverign is a solid choice but the gatekeeper is still a lot better for short range - as your AR aim and jetpack movement improves, you might find yourself less reliant on the soverign for middle range and instead want something to quickly wrap up already decided fights.
Fantastic like always Tobi! I've been following most of these tips as you dropped them all season and they have improved my odds significantly; however, I still find it difficult to get movement down eg quick strafing and hitting shots on controller, flick shots with a rifle (when someone appears out of nowhere with a jetpack and shotgun doesnt reach.) and also slide canceling. Maybe future training map scenarios could incorporate a longer distance flick shot scenario.
It's dope that your mobility is almost flawless. I mean everything you said is straight facts, I'm working on my 15th win today and I'm using your advice bro
Playing solo "No Build in Build Mode", I was as high as 50% win rate (5 for my first 10) then it settled down to 30% as other players started to learn counter strategies, dropped all the way down to 20% when I tried to raid Doom's Castle without knowing its layout, and is now back up to 24% (34/142) Loving this season
I have a video suggestion. I wonder what you're thoughts are on the state of the game right now. I've only been playing for about 9 months. I wish I were playing C5S1 again. I'm just trying to look at it from a quantity perspective. There is so much more in the game right now than there was when I started and I think the game is suffering because of it. 9 months ago, I think it was just a few medallions that all did the same thing. and vaults that held mod benches, loot island, and that was it. The meta was the auto shotgun and sniper rifle. The following season was four medallions that were all different, a new movement mechanic in the form of green water, bunkers, loot island, and overpowered Avatar items. Last season was three different medallions, cactuses, bunkers, loot island, green water dash, overpowered cars with overpowered weapons, and overpowered Magneto gauntlets. This season has ratcheted it up even further so far. Now we have three different medallions, bunkers, loot island, green water dashes, cactuses, Stark chests, avengers chests, doom chests, green water dashes, Stark rockets that land in one of the zones, and sometimes Doom island. Every season this chapter has built on the one before in such ways that it has made the game less fun to play if like me you want to steadily improve through developing aim, awareness, and strategy.
It will get better, this season the “marvel” season was meant to be cheesy. Next chapter will be much simpler, this is maxxed out fortnite corniness right now lol
I also started that season. I prefer this season compared to 3 (mostly because of magneto gauntlets). But the first 2 seasons this chapter were by far better than the other ones because of the reasons you said. I’m super stoked for chapter 2 because how simple it is.
I also started 9 Months ago. And i was so sick of the car season that i switched to playing creative maps for 2 months ( aim maps and team death match maps btw shadow vs ghost is a lot of fun and a zb deathmatch map ). This helped me a lot and now i have a 30% win rate
hate it when i play swuads and someone marks the raft as a landing zone.. you just know they will die and leave in about a minute , do people just do this 100 times a day ?
So, in regards to endgame, what is your philosophy?? When it’s you and one or two other people, how do you finish?? I’ve got 20 plus wins on the season, but 5 times that in second place finishes… A typical game for me is 8-10 kills and a second place finish. Ugh.
Yeah, right now the gloves are completely broken and should be hard nerfed very shortly. Otherwise the integrity of the game is gone. We've never had a meta this bad that you can literally use 2 auto aim weapons in your inventory and just point your camera towards people to win and people stand no chance.
What mythics (except for the sovereign shotgun) do you recommend picking up? I like the arcane gauntlets for the free 90 dmg and the monarch too, but according to your 2-gun-loadout I should basically avoid those ones? Please give me some advice, I'm tired of dying all the time 😭
People can easily dodge the arcane blasts by getting into the air, and the monarch only works well if you have God tier aim, as fun as it is to use. I'd suggest using a more forgiving and consistent weapon across all scenarios like an AR and Shotgun. I pickup the mythic monarch for fun, but it's not the most effective weapon in most scenarios.
Yeah, in ZB my two-gun recommendations (if you aren't going for Iron Man's Combat Gear) would be a Striker AR, and either a Sovereign or Gatekeeper Shotgun. For shotties, former always has six shells, but can be automatic for hip fire or more like a pump when ADS. Gatekeeper can just layer on damage fast, and can be modified mid-match at a bunker with a drum mag for five shots (make sure to reload immediately after).
great tips ! However, I disagree with #3... never have the need or want to use a shield bubble! I win lots in duos with my mate.. we use jetpacks, distance, and i always get the arcane gloves and usually the ironman gloves, he uses jetpack, Ar, and shotty
I like this video a lot! However there are a few points I don’t exactly disagree with, but I feel I can offer an alternate perspective. Hopefully it’s okay I make a reaction video to this!
@ShadyButFresh massive respect to Prospering, he is the GOAT. Buuut I don't think anybody owns the name for boosting a jetpack into a slide. Hundreds of people figured this out on their own within hours of the jetpack release. I've discovered many movement techniques myself as well that I've never seen others use but I don't name them after myself - I just try to give them descriptive names that people understand. The term jetpack skating is better understood to a beginner than p-dashing who has never watched Prosp.
@@olive0209 he discovered it himself as well as other people did. He made it known because of the platform he has and the fact he was teaching it to thousands as he was learning himself.
@@olive0209 Come on though... jetpack skate? P-dash makes sense for a tech skill term. For example, from Super Smash Bros Melee tech skill terms L-cancel, Shield-Drop, Dash-Dancing...they all make sense for what they describe. It's a dash-like boost being executed.
He's right on everything but don't use vehicles cause if you do you will be my main target they're a death trap they can be emp'd they can be shot tell blown up and you can get pickaxed if you drive to close so it's really easy kills for me
80% of people only play pubs and I'd estimate 50% of those can't get a win consistently on a single day in pubs. I think you overestimate the average skill level of players... 75% are ranked gold or lower in ZB.
Holy crap, my brother and I were playing duos last season and ALL the medallion teams started fighting at the same time in mid-game by Grim... We show up in a boosted up wagon with a grenade launcher and wiped the remains of the 3 teams in like 10 seconds and got all the medallions. It was epic!
This was probably made before the Iron Man update, but the easiest way to win rn in ZB is with the full Iron Man Loadout, Jetpack, Auto Turret, and Heals. The 0 gun loadout is now a thing.
Sadly I totally agree with this... I won games last night just by getting the pulse shooters off the drop and then running to the closest POI to loot chests until I had a jetpack and auto turret. I carried heals and a legendary sovereign shotgun that I never even used. The game just wasn't fun.
The glove thingy, auto turret, jetpack heals AND a scoped AR for long ranges is my meta, until the gloves get seriously nerfed - hopefully soon. Never lost a match when I got all those on me.
Hey! Toby has a whole Playlist of essential skills that he has compiled in order to teach people how to get better. Also, if you are able to get a Shinobi Master subscription, you can get direct training from him and other unreal level players about twice a week! Id look into both of those options.
I go in do small quest. Let someone kill me no one cares. I just play to lose. I so used to locking into targets. I’ve been questioning why do I play this game I never ever win solos maybe only once in my career in solo. If I did win it’s because someone else. Win a match fck it go into next one. I allways thought that rotating to zone later was better than do it earlier
