- Follow me on my journey renovating my old semi detached house in the North of England UK. I love DIY and will try my hand at anything. You'll see me getting stuck in doing most of the work myself including joinery, plumbing (occasionally some plastering) and a lot of decorating! In the summer you'll see me out in the garden keeping on top of my outside space. I'm not a professional but hope that my videos can inspire you to take on projects yourself that you thought weren't possible. Hi guys! After months of working incredibly hard, the garden makeover is finally finished!!!
There has been a lot of digging, painting, planting and building and I love how it has all come together. It really was worth the time and money spent on building the decking area as this is a real sun trap and is a lovely place to now sit and relax in the sun.
The gravel area will eventually be where I put a shed when the outhouse is converted but for now it is home to our outdoor bar area which was a last minute addition to the garden.
The lawn has turned out better than I expected with a re-seed. There are still some patches that need to fill in but I am pleased how well it is looking and will do just fine this year until I get around to re-turfing next year.
More plants will be added to the borders over time but for now I have kept things simple with some hydrangeas, hostas, grasses and salvia.
I hope you like it as much as I do and that it has given you some inspiration for your own outdoor space.
