Ironically, as time goes on in holywood Joker just becomes a parody of himself; all thats left is the mania, no actually interesting quirks or qualities of his own beyond being a crazy wild guy
One of the coolest scenes was when the Joker stood out in the open with total disregard for his own life when Batman fired twin machine guns at him from his Batplane, the Joker pulls out a revolver with a ridiculously long barrel, fires ONE shot and causes the Batplane to crash! Awesome

Ledger gave a good performance, but I still disagree with the portrayal of the character. He wasn't clown enough for me. If you like the Nolan movies that's fine, but it was just too realistic to me.
Those that disagree that Jack is the best Joker, I respect your opinion. But, here's an argument for why Jack is indeed the best: Heath Ledger was GREAT, he put on an excellent performance & I could watch again & again. But in real life, Heath is a good guy, an emotional guy, so much so that he apparently lost his MIND from the role, which compounded some existing mental issues he was already dealing with, no disrespect btw may he Rest in Peace. But Jack Nicholson in REAL LIFE is filled with personality, hes almost a cartoon character just how animated & lively he is, like if you took the genetics of Jim Carey & mixed it with a mafia mob boss. Jack is the type of guy that could probably run a criminal enterprise in real life if he had to, thats why he played the role in The Departed so well because he was just playing HIMSELF lol. EDIT: Oh & let me add that I think Jim Carey with the proper mindset would of made an INCREDIBLE Joker because hes tall, skinny & can make faces like a damn comic book character anyway, probably would match the comic book drawing of the Joker the closest too.
I agree with the fact that Jack is the best joker, but not because of that. Heath is the best villain, but he felt more like a deep villain, while Jack made the best joker, not such a deep villain, but a great version that was really accurate to the original version of the joker, a villain who uses different toys and has a chaotic and somehow funny personality, that ends up being charming. Heath was great with the intimidating performance, but he lacked the comedy. Even with this, i think both made great jobs and gave really different but enjoyable presentations to the character.
I could listen to Jack talk about anything. What a charismatic and hypnotic person.

@@kylemcintyre4182 yeah mate he was bloody awful. Looked like a cosplay guy
My fav and Best of all Jokers
Mr. Nicholson
Don't forget
...your lucky deck!
My friend, your luck is about to change...
The best Batman
I totally agree 👍🏻👍🏻
@IPA SOLÉ, with absolute certainty
with the best suit, the best car and the best girl
Indeed. It was enough Comic Book, but enough realism at the same time. The newer ones were too dark, and the older ones too campy.
@IPA SOLÉ no to both
His laugh is naturally maniacal and I love it.
Jack nicholson is the true joker
There is no true Joker.
@@SpydeyDan exactly
No
Yep. Ledger was nothing like the Joker in the comics
well said he is the true joker
He did a great job; I actually really liked his suits and hat, they were sharp !
I love hearing how Jack gets how the joker should look live action and how he really wanted to look like him.
THE BEST JOKER THERE EVER WAS AND WILL BE!
hands down
Jack will always be the the greatest Joker of all time!
He is the best joker
Agreed
@@DACouture413 thanks
@@jswatch9270 Lol for now.... ;) Joaquin about to take over the throne!
Aesthetically he was the best joker. And he had that charismatic & commanding quality. His was the only one that didn’t focus primarily on the psychotic/ insane aspect of joker.
Ironically, as time goes on in holywood Joker just becomes a parody of himself; all thats left is the mania, no actually interesting quirks or qualities of his own beyond being a crazy wild guy
I honestly thought they just painted his face that’s all....
Oh c'mon his mouth was stretched like 6 inches dude there was no way I was believing that was his real face
@@dennydarkko I always though they attached a wire or something and actually pulled his mouth and he just enduring that pain during filming
One of the coolest scenes was when the Joker stood out in the open with total disregard for his own life when Batman fired twin machine guns at him from his Batplane, the Joker pulls out a revolver with a ridiculously long barrel, fires ONE shot and causes the Batplane to crash! Awesome
This was the highlight of Jack Nicolson's career, his best performance 🃏
he is the best Joker of all
nah
Justin a I AGREE!
@Bill nye the smarter than you guy me his my #1 favorite joker
Jack is a true Hollywood Legend! He did a flawless job as the Joker!
This was awesome. My favourite film of all time.
Jack Nicolson is the best Joker in terms of the psychotic version... whereas Heath Ledger was the more narcissistic planning villian.
I dunno Ledger's was preeetty psychotic if you ask me. Also narcissistic would mean that he has an excessive interest in himself or the way he looks. I don't think that accurately describes Ledger's Joker xD
@@Beneficialitificul Joker has always been, to my understanding, a balancing act: 50% clown and 50% psycho. Nicholson came fairly close, leaning a bit more to the clownish side, whereas Ledger leaned far to the psycho side with a greatly reduced clownish side.
@@donaldwatson7698 Agreed!
Na...... Jack is better. Only Aussie say heath is better. Rest of the world don't give a damn
@@donaldwatson7698 Yes, totally.
There was little clownishness in Ledger's Joker but a whole lot of dark'.
His Joker was anarchic - which he basically says so himself, or another character says about him, in the film.
While there's at least one line in that film where someone says something to the effect of "He just wants to cause chaos"...
all work and no play makes jack a dull boy

I LOVE Jack Nicholson's Joker!! They both did great in Batman! Oh, he was just fantastic!! My favorite classic Batman movie, cause it gives Joker his background!! 😍👌
"Love that joker"!😂
that sound track is so good
Nicholson, the only actor who actually was the Joker.
morlvol Leger was actually the joker
No, he was nothing like the joker
@@Zug8415 u r talking about ledger or nicholsan
@@theunderground98 Ledger was nothing like the Joker of the comics, completely overrated
Mriganabh Kashyap Nicholson, ledger wasn’t the most comic book accurate but he still had the same basic goal, chaos. He wasn’t a cliche villain who just wanted to fuck the love interest like Nicholson. Though I do think he is a bit overrated, the valeska twins are the definitive live action version of the character in my eyes
I think that we can all agree that Jared Leto was the worst joker ever..
Jared Leto is the definitive Joker
Said nobody EVER. (except you)
GDjesusOfsuburbia I don’t even wanna see anything involving Jared Leto. The only reason I MIGHT wanna see Suicide Squad is because of Harley Quinn. So, in short, I agree with you
GDjesusOfsuburbia yup!!! He was the worst joker ever!!
Anybody who says he was good is dumb as hell, Jack is not my favorite but he sure as hell knew how to embody the character
Have You Ever Danced With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight?
I ask that of all my prey.....I just like the sound of it.
@@Corbomite-ei1ty 😁🙌👍
A brilliant and great Joker, period but also brought to life by wonderful costume designers.
I found this Joker more creepier and that's a good thing
Tim Burton is a genious. He created the batman franchise.
Did you mean: Bill Finger
He created 2 moives
I like the Burtonverese, Nolanverse, and Arkhamverse
Umm no.
@@SerosJoker Bill Finger co-created Batman
He is still the best joker. His smile and look without make up could still play the joker.
Want to rewatch this now. Love the Nolan films, but these are MY Batman films!
me too my favorite batman film is Returns
@@rolandofgilead43 Ohh yes.. Batman Returns. Still the best Batman film after 28 years!

It's...."You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"

What is it about that magical smile specifically Nicholson joker and shining movie every time I see it can’t help but smirk
Nicholson is the best live action Joker, deal with it for the rest of your life.
i could not agree more
@Igor Bosnjak yea but your opinion is wrong...... lol jk
Just the true.
Heath looked like he was acting.
Jack became the Joker.
Yes thanks to the Dark Knight which IMO was a terrible Batman film for a multitude of reasons Batman 89 and its sequels have been getting more and more hate and under recognition I pray for the day when people realize that Nicholson is the Best Joker and Batman 89 is the best Batman movie
Jack! You are the one and only Joker ever! Letcher was awesome to step into your footsteps and now we all hope Phoenix made it too.
JOKER = Jack Nicholson period
Jack is my favorite actor of all time. I'm so glad that he played the Joker. No one else has done it better.
Amazing. Still the best joker.
Shawn Tannehill nobody could TOUCH Jack Nicholson
Ledger
0451 Shodan Ledger's Joker is the best portrayal of the Joker period. If you think Nicholson's Joker is better, you're being blinded by nostalgia.
Ledger gave a good performance, but I still disagree with the portrayal of the character. He wasn't clown enough for me. If you like the Nolan movies that's fine, but it was just too realistic to me.
Skillz ledger was stale
Jack’s joker still scares me after 30 years
the best joker to date and batman to batman movie
That thumbnail scared the living shit outta me
