the test is easy, you have nothing to worry about, I did mine last year. for the check ride we did about 5 min of carpark then did a decent ride, it was fun with everyone in a group, for the test it was just 1on1 straight onto the road, just remember to headcheck before you take off, change lanes etc. keep the clutch in and foot on the back brake when stopped (in 1st) move over to the left when a car is coming towards you and back to the right after they pass its a little more expensive but I'm pretty sure a R3 takes 95 fuel, lower octane fuels can cause engine knock, it should be in the owners manual
@@__Max-oe6zm I didn't do any but it depends on where you go. I used their bike as soon as I got on we went straight on the road. If you can't slow ride you probably should not be riding, its really not that hard to go as slow as they need to pass.

Breaktest in my country: shift up to 3rd gear and drive 50 km/h. Then break with your front 70% and the rearbrake 30%. try to stop in 25 meters smoothly. just like you stop for a stoplights.but you have to shift back to 1st gear before you stopped completely. other breaktest is do the same but only in 15 meters. And we got the emergency breaktest: same as the first one but you dont have to gear down, just break as hard you can in 10 meters. clutch in frontbreak 70% rearbrake 30% best if the abs is doing its job.
15:12 something that embarrassingly took me too long to figure out is instead of shaking or banging the fuel nozzle (and then getting drips on my tank anyway), just flip the nozzle so the spout is pointing upwards and it won't drip
Heck yeah dude. I'm subscribing already so I'll be ready for it. Feel free to post a video of what condition the bike is in now. I would definitely watch.
Don’t sit in the blind spot of others vehicle .. Iv noticed it in a few of your last rides.. people will just pull straight across you especially on the highway. A simple rule if you can see a badge on a steering wheel you’re probably in there blind spot pulling forward if safe or drop back and give yourself space. Good luck with ya test 🤞🙂
5:00 don't over think it and I'm sure you already know, those leaves and especially lawn clippings are mega slippery on the roads in turns etc. the best advice I have about your exam is be well rested and just try relax so you don't fumble stuff you normally wouldn't. enjoy the day though, i bet you have a blast.
wheelies are fun but very sketchy if you don't have good throttle control i have done them quite a few times on a r6 yamaha and a 790 duke and but just have fun and be careful
It's better to sit either in the middle of the lane for smoothness as there are a lot less bumps or to the right of the lane so the driver can see you in the mirror.
A day before i got my license i was practicing doing ramps, I was so nervous and it was so cold that i did a wheelie and almost crashed in a wall, i should have taken some security footage because i still don't know how i did it
When the traffic slows down or to a stop watch your mirrors at the vehicle behinds speed to avoid getting hit if they don't realise the traffic is slowing down might even be safer to sit on the divided lane line but I haven't ever rode in the city so idk
@@dizzo_rl you DID completely blow through it. The law required you to come to a COMPLETE STOP. The sign is not a suggestion. You're riding more confidently than me when I went for my "full licence" test (I haven't even figured out the down-shifting blipping that you've got down pat). Vic Roads charge a huge amount for getting your bike licence overall because so many bike riders are getting killed each year. I have been riding dirt bikes for 10+ years off road up the bush and I have crashed countless times so I passed my test easy as with very little to no stress it was just a fun thing to do for me but I can understand it being stressful as for others. It's a good idea to jump on a dirt and go for a ride up the bush with your dad and maybe your sister🙂👌 anyway keep up the practice and don't stab the front brake on because if you don't have Abs you will bin ya bike on the ground. When I got my Motorcycle License all we have to do in the USA is a small and Large Figure 8 and that’s it, I was wondering how your Motorcycles in your Country go by Kilometers instead of mph because your Speedometers are a lot different from ours?
It's impressive how quickly you are improving, but I think it's important to work a little bit on the braking: I have noticed that you either brake or downshift. You need to learn to do both at the same time. If blipping the throttle while braking is too hard you can use the technique of slipping the clutch instead of blipping. And, as an advice, it is a good habit (on the road) to keep one or two fingers on the brake lever...always. Keep up the good work! And enjoy your bike!
if you wanna learn how to wheelie i recomend you get a honda grom or a Kawasaki z125 with a 12Bar/wheelie bar, so you wont end up wasting money on broken farings and destroying your 300, and the grom is just an easy bike to learn on in my opinion
For the emergency brake, for me in QLD it was important to be clicking down gears at the same time. Brake hard, clutch in while clicking down gears is a requirement I am pretty sure. Good practice anyway.
In the UK the emergency stop is a test of stopping quickly under control. It doesn't matter about changing down gears or even if you stall it when you stop. The objective is to stop fast. The rest is unnecessary and not a requirement.
@@markj66 Yes this makes more sense. But in Aus, from what the instructors told me, this is how they want us to do it. From what they told me, their mentality is so you can quickly get away again in the correct gear in situations where traffic may be coming behind you quickly. Instead of being in 6th gear, braking hard, to then stall or not be able to accelerate away.
Your lucky to be able to ride a 300 on a learner licence, in the UK you can only ride up to a 125 cc till you pass, and then you have to take the test to be able to ride a bigger bike 😢. 🏍️
In Australia, the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) mandates that novice riders' motorcycles must have an engine capacity not exceeding 660cc, a power-to-weight ratio no greater than 150 kW per tonne, and remain unmodified to increase this ratio. Manufacturers ensure compliance through electronic control units (ECUs) that manage engine performance, mechanical restrictors like narrower intake passages, or a combination of both systems. Additionally, Australia requires new motorcycles to be equipped with Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) to enhance rider safety.
so you can ride a motorcycle without a driver's license on your own as long as you have an L on it? 200 dollars is nothing, here in Norway it costs around 2,500 dollars for a motorbike driver's licence, and we spend at least a month or more with driving lessons before you get to the final test where you find out if you pass or not
South Australia just DOUBLED the cost of a Learners Permit (from ~ $500 to OVER $1,000, and the training course from 4 hours to 2 full days). You can then ride on your own (in fact cannot carry passengers), for a minimum of 1 year but no more than 2 years. It's an additional fee for a final test to get the motorbike licence (which will be restricted to < 660cc engine for your first year). I've heard the cost / training / bike restrictions are worse in the UK.
The price discrepancy between a European license, and an Australian license from my understanding, is because in Australia you are basically taught to pass a test, but in Europe you are actually taught not only how to ride/drive safely, but also proper road etiquette.
