Rugby is probably about as tough of a sport as American football considering the big hits that are made. Also you cannot throw the ball forward but you can kick it forward. If you drop it backwards it’s play on. Also the ball has to touch the try scoring area for it to be a try, you can’t just run over it
Just forget NFL for the purpose of watching rugby. One has evolved to be a series of short sharp bursts to make small gains, the other is a continuous flowing game. Only stoppages are as noted elsewhere, there are no timeouts, it’s two x 40 minute halves with 10 minutes in between. No, it isn’t strange we don’t wear padding, the rest of the world thinks it extremely strange you do! They do have mouth guards though. Sad that so much was silent, you might like to know that others reviewing this have played it all the way through, anyway I’d rather hear no background noise and your comments.
