I heard the older and bigger ones are a little more refined and prefer good Baked Clams! LOL I can't disagree with that! Nice catch! One is SO MUCH BETTER than none!
does it matter high tide or low tide when youre fishing for these big fish ? been struggling myself out here on the east end :/ im still new to this only have been porgy fishing and maybe jigging a couple times on boat but i like to be offshore when im alone

grinding 👏 nice catch...clams vs bunker chunks in the spring if you're tossing bait?
Early spring in the ocean surf, clam hands down, the rest of the year, bunker
I’m new when it comes to fishing the open ocean surf. What measures/precautions do you take when you drive onto the beach?
I didn’t drive on the beach in this video
I need to learn how to identify ocean spots like troughs better. It all looks the same to me.
@@BaldyFade Thank you that was to the point.
See rich troxler reading the beach series.
If you start at low tide you can see all the structure more clearly
Then fish the cut

Higher water is better, end of incoming or beginning of outgoing
Thanks for watching!
Nice fish. I was out today as well. Caught a skunk, not a keeper so threw him back!
Nice! It’s only going to get better
Thanks for watching!
How's the water temperature?

Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
Sand worms do it for me every spring.
In the ocean surf?
@@Bsprecksfishing in the surf, bays. Today first of the season form me under the Verrazano bridge
@@Nextlevup I do well with worms in the early spring in the Hudson or the northshore.. but never in the ocean surf as they don’t live there
@@Bsprecksfishing 🤷🏻♂️ still catching them.
I can attest to bloodworms in the ocean surf, worth every penny
