I go to Avery Point. It’s cool that you guys talked about it! The Branford house is owned by Uconn, everything past that marina is owned by Uconn. Uconn also owns three boats that stay on uconn owned docks right next to the marina. That big, new looking expensive building is the marine science building & to the left of it is the rankin lab and behind that is the Branford house. Inside of the Branford house on the second and third floors r administrator offices (campus director, bursar, advisors, etc) first floor has a welcome center and is pretty open. We use the Branford house for dances and other events. People also rent the space for weddings and stuff on the weekends. Fun fact: Uconn is the only school in Connecticut to get grants for marine science research just thought you might be interested. In other news, those r some big f-in fish.
@@AdventureStreamingGuys wdym toured through it? If you mean the branford house I'm in there all the time, if you mean the rankin and marine science building then I have been in there multiple times but I'm definitely not in there consistently. I just had a meeting on the patio of the marine science building and it was 270 degree views of the water... gorgeous
yes...but the CT DEP has some guidelines (website) on how much fish you should consume dependent upon the species...also certain considerations if you are pregnant.
yes..the jigs are weighted already, so depending on current and depth, get them as close to bottom as possible. Or is you have a fish finder, try and drop it to the depth any fish are feeding at, then jig up.
Dude...are you sure you didn't leave out of Noank? Because you approached Avery Point from the east, and Pine Island (the island and marina) is NOT in Niantic. Other than that, fun video. I commercial fished the Race, Sluiceway, Plum Gut, Montauk, and Block Island. This felt like I was fishing my home waters again.
Me and my buddy been catching blues at the race and then 2 weeks ago we caught some nice bass over by watch hill
awesome....this is a great time of year to catch'em
Just started fishing Long Island Sound last year. I love it! Unfortunately, I have yet to land a striper there. I will not stop trying.
All about the tides and location

Spinzy715 then you know exactly where we fished. Thanks for watching.
Nice video but Pine Island is in Groton. I like Pine island marina. Close to alot of great fishing spots!
Pine Island is a great place, just made some more improvements too. definitely a straight shot to some good fishing grounds!
Is it safe to eat the fish that you catch in the Long Island Sound?
yes...but the CT DEP has some guidelines (website) on how much fish you should consume dependent upon the species...also certain considerations if you are pregnant.
Yes, I eat all fish from the sound.
Nice video. How heavy are you using on those epoxy jigs? I see they have up to 2oz and 4oz. Thanks in advance
we bring all the weight sizes it really depends on the depth of the fish and the current so we can get down to the fish zone
what kind of lures were those?
Hoggy Epoxy Jigs
Great video! Are those lures weighted or just topwater?
J Santa jigs, so they drop to bottom weighted
yes..the jigs are weighted already, so depending on current and depth, get them as close to bottom as possible. Or is you have a fish finder, try and drop it to the depth any fish are feeding at, then jig up.
