I own a Royal Enfield 500, I love riding it on roads like this. The Halcyon styling is right up my alley. The 450 has more HP than my 500!

I agree with the statement about the smaller cc bikes. I own a Victory Vision 106ci (1740cc) bike that I like but I really love riding my Honda PCX150 scooter. So much so that I rode my scooter instead of the Victory from South Carolina to Sturgis this year. 4300 miles in 10 days on a scooter (what was I thinking lol). Six hundred of those miles was in SD and Wyoming enjoying Needles Hwy, Badlands, Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore, etc. Such a fun and memorable ride. I think I would absolutely love the Halcyon 450.

Albemarle county NC has some super curvy roads as Well out on Linney's Mill road union Grove N.C. 28689 plus they have an old fashioned grist mill out there where you can buy milled grains grits and flavored pancake mixes and a water wheel around back they also make animal feed as well

I own a 2008 Royal Enfield Bullet 500. I love the bike, but it has some items in the engine I do not like. Currently, it sits in storage so I can finish rebuilding the primary which contains some broken pieces. It has electrical issues, but is generally easy to work on. I stumbled across the Janus Motorcycles researching leading link front forks because I'm thinking about a sidecar rig. I'm now thinking about repairing the RE, selling it and buying one of these Janus 450's. I also have a 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere and while it s a fun bike, there's just something about having an antique style motorcycle that turns heads. I turned way more heads with the RE than I ever do with the Ten. I'm looking forward to seeing in person one of the Janus bikes.

Watched a review on these bikes resently where the guy mentioned a wobble in the handle bars and said that one could get use to it , he showed footage of the wobble too .
These are nice motorcycles for sure but ; i personally would not buy a new motorcycle with a wobble !

Perfect road for riding either Halcyon. I've been watching Janus since they started on the Halcyon. I would love to own a 450. My first bike in high school was a 1953 Matchless 500 single. I have owned XT500, XT350, DR350, DRZ400 and lots of others.

What kind of mileage does the 450 get?

This makes me sentimental for the mighty 218 N of USMA in The Hudson Valley. Ride aware of falling rocks in the spring and fall.

Living in the Western North Carolina Mountains (Hayesville) I have come to believe that any road that doesn't have "Interstate" in its name is potentially a great motorcycle road.
Currently riding an Indian Springfield (116ci) but have been eyeing Janus to possibly get a second bike for a different riding experience.
    Thanks for the video.

I completely agree with your comments about learning slightly different skills from riding smaller capacity bikes.

Bikes look great but they waaaay over priced, a Chinese engine is just not worth half the sticker.

You need to ride a real motorcycle like a ZX14 or a KTM Super Duke. If you like 30 HP get a KLR, you can ride them anywhere.

Thanks for watching and following along! The riding sounds wonderful out there. We have to search for the twisties in northern Indiana.
