      Hopefully a discussion comes up in the comment section. That’s really the goal. Like just think about what happened in the game, right? Whether anyone agrees with my analysis or not. We lost and there’s a reason. If we’re trying to think of why, that’s better than just being like “eh lost. Nothing to be done.”

    Good points. Surviving is very important. If one sinks early on it puts more pressure on other players; it's one of the reason I don't have lots of fun in BBs as I used to. When the DD goes down early it changes the dynamics of game immensely. When the red team loses their DD it frees me up to do a lot more than I would do else wise. Spotting is very important too and that means don't be sitting behind an island where you can't spot.

      When I play a destroyer I spend a lot of time NOT shooting my guns or torpedoes but rather trying to take caps and sneak out to the flank or behind to spot. If I run into another destroyer I try to take them out but what a lot of dd players seems to forget is they have the ship most able to disengage and run away to fight another day. Just last night I played a match in my la terrible that came down to just me vs a another destroyer and two tier 7 battleships. My team won because I took 2 caps and assisted on a third so that by the time the enemy dd found me I still had almost full health and he was no match for me in a gun duel even with two battleships shooting me. Me taking him down meant we, or I, took the points lead and all I had to do was break off and sail into the sunset. I barely got any damage that game but was third just on capping and spotting and won the game for my team.
      dd players, in general, need to learn it's not about damage. dd's are pretty ridiculous in how overly important then are in determining the outcome of matches in this game.

    I suggest you Xarkun to do a in-depth series tutorial with all the classes showings things like mini vids about positionings, spot, salvos. Augmented with some diagrams or pictures of the maps showing basic routes to take in caps, strategy etc. I know it can take a lot of time doing this but no one ever did that before.

      Problem is, the people who would watch that already know. The people who should watch it can barely operate a TV remote.
      The REMF BB players think they're the best players ever, the IJN torp spammers think they're the best etc etc.

    Hindsight is always 20/20, but let me ask you this, what did you gain that would not have been possible had you not left the center spawn? You capped, sure, but the players over there could have done that as well. Had you remained center you could have at least been a support DD for the shima and kept the Des Moines spotted and firing at them. By going to the flank your teammates center have no one spotting or screening torps. You overload the strong side rather than supporting the weak side.. Just my opinion.

    • @jonathantow6888
      @jonathantow6888 2 года назад +1

      Meta, in your experience with both of these ships, would Xarkun's Khaba have been able to take on ARon's Daring in that center cap? Given that Xarkun chose to go to the A cap, I would assume he didn't like his chances, perhaps due to the Des Moines nearby?

    • @metajerk
      @metajerk 2 года назад +1

      @@jonathantow6888 in a 1 vs 1? Sure, but this isn’t a vacuum. Which is why removing the darings support (especially in a division), would be my priority. Khaba can work a Des Moines at range, and the daring can’t do much about that with risking health. But ya know? We never really know.. training rooms plz!

    Yeah my plan with that charge was to support Yammy and then play radar base to snag Aaron, but that didn’t exactly happen lmao. By the point he had sunk I was already too far in to pull back so just figured I’d take the GK and DM on my own. As shown, I blinked and my stern had slammed into the guys torp belt. I played that early game kinda bad too, and will admit that this game isn’t a great showing of my skills lol. GGs Xark, I’ll yell at Brit louder next time just for you ❤

    You’re right.
    But advising just surviving? We have enough players who just goes and hides passively at the back of the map.
    Sure, I get blapped sometimes and other times find myself out of position. But the amount of players in this game, that either YOLO in and die without a plan, or just hides passively without any battle influence - it’s amazing…😅

    • @jonathantow6888
      @jonathantow6888 2 года назад

      Have to agree. Players need to not simply survive, but figure out a way to survive AND fulfill the responsibilities of the ship class they are playing. I've seen too many DDs hiding behind BBs, depriving the team of spotting, capping, etc. One instance for example, was a DD smoking up a BB that was already behind an island, quite a distance away from the cap, and thought they were doing a favor.

    • @177SCmaro
      @177SCmaro 2 года назад +1

      In a destroyer sometimes it's best to go dark and live to fight another day even if you lose the cap. You're no use to anyone in a match dead, worse, them taking you out gives the other team a points advantage. Of course, I'm not advocating the opposite of playing supper passively, especially in a dd. Battleships early match are the only one's who really have any excuse to be passive/cautious given how vulnerable hey are to destroyers and dpm cruisers. But even bbs can be too passive. Once the enemy dds start to thin out is when bb's should start pushing and tanking for their cruisers, should start thinking more about medium range duels rather than lobbing from the back of the map.
      Perocally, I see too many destroyers and especially cruisers yoloing in. Once in a while you still see a battleship do it, especially new german bb players who think their turtleback makes them invincible.

    I certainly don't believe you played it wrong at all, just a bit oddly however the russian dds are unconventional dds.I love your content xarkpai. Last night I was a tad salty. Though if I may go on a slightly less drunk and tired rant than last night:Aaron was spotting me and I'm not going to pull broadside to a montana and yamato to kill a gk and a des moines. Flawed logic yes but it was 3 o'clock in the morning

    • @jonathantow6888
      @jonathantow6888 2 года назад

      I can sympathize with your situation. When I saw the GK with low health, I was thinking, "Quick! Take him out!", but soon after the red Yamato fired at you, I too was thinking, "Don't go broadside!". Honestly, I don't know if staying back a little further would have changed a lot - except allow the GK, in addition to the Montana and Yamato, to fire at you.

    • @177SCmaro
      @177SCmaro 2 года назад

      More than just a difference. The match is nearly completely determined by what the destroyers on both teams do. Not completely, though, I have had a few matches where we came back after all our dds yoloed in and died, but it's pretty rare.

  • @sledge1swede654

    Team play there is no such thing in Legends and that is because the DD.s dont get there task or job in battle the same goes for Crusiers that are supposed to conter and take out DD.s and the same goes for BB.s that are supposed to take damage and support with big shunks of damage but chose to sit on the moon and can not hit anything spotted.I do not know why but the game is absolute a joke nowadays.Playing solo is a nightmare.

    • @177SCmaro
      @177SCmaro 2 года назад

      I think some that stems from the fact that destroyers are overly important/influential on the outcome of the game as it's currently "balanced".

    • @sledge1swede654
      @sledge1swede654 2 года назад

      @@177SCmaro It is a factor but the main issue is players that just refuse to do there main task and chace damage.One other big issue is players that escape there spawn and create lemmingtrain leaving one spawn unprotected and with no chance to collect valuable points and the MM creates uneven balance to spawnpoints.There are so many variables to discuss but fact is that WG has enough data to atleast try but they dont.

  • @DrakeHunter324

    It's just another game in L-tier. Always garbage, never fun.
    Lower tiers are half gargage, half fun depending on the moron spread between teams.

    • @177SCmaro
      @177SCmaro 2 года назад

      lol. For me, tier 5 seems to be about the best place to play the game. Yes, there are still nebs and morons but most of the ships seem balanced ENOUGH to where their stupidity does affect me ALL the time. Tiers 1-3 is seal clubbing as far as I'm concerned, hardly anyone knows what they're doing which works to both my advantage and disadvantage, depending on said spread. 4 and 6 are okay, 7 less so, 8 and esp legendary are crap. The game balance sucks and it seems there are just enough seasoned players and people who either bought or just waited there way through the bureau and have no idea how to play the ship they just unlocked that often it's a stomp one way or the other.
      Yes, legendary is about the worse experience imo and has been for a while. And the salt in the wound is it's the most expensive tier to play at in terms of credits so often you're being charged for the "privilege" of playing the game's worse experience. I almost never play legendary anymore and don't really care to brother grinding the bureau out for more ships I don't play.

    *asks why dd dies fast at the start of matches*
    *also puts challenge of 25 dd torp hits that wont hit unless u get close enough that u can launch into bb before it start dodging, basically yolo*
    As for me, i wont give a F i would just go in kill whatever i can before i die in 3 minutes
    Dont want me to do that? Remove some sonars and radars then we can talk just like when the game had none of these where it was fun

      It's not a rule as such, more guidance that all things being equal a cruiser should win 1 v 1 against a DD. Not always the case for sure but more often than not it ends badly for the DD not the cruiser.
