Q&A about this week’s episode HERE ➡➡ ruclips.net/user/shortspDuQXNtXqN8
Who decides preferential treatment for the press if more than one of you need to use it?
Would you concidder it giving it its propper barrle in the future? This looks like an early L/50 barrle with the cylindrical flash hider.
However most KwK 38s (and by that also Pz II Ausf.F) were equipped with the same L/65 Flak barrles, as they streamlined production, and stopped producing the L/50, only using up old stock on KwK 30s.
Any idea how many cutting discs and welding rods you blokes go through in a week of activity like this?
What kinda camo scheme are you planning for the Vespa? '60s hippie/70's disco/'90s rave? 😉
When you said Vesper did you mean Wespe?
Loved it when Darryl showed off his handiwork on the hatch he looked like a school boy showing off his project, grinning ear to ear❤
Daz’s skill level? Magician! Loved the attention to detail, finishing the cut edges of that patch with the needle gun to add patina. Wicked 🎉
Bloody ARTISTRY with straightening that Barrel too. Utterly AMAZING skill level he has !
Thank you for preserving history and also for filming it.
Pretty confident the Germans who manufactured that Panzer II turret never thought it would end up on that back of a Triton Ute!
To be fair, I don´t think the manufacturers of the TRITON could imagine a panzer II turret on the back of their wehicle either... 😄
Well they made Zero’s so not so far fetched
Watch out for this new feature in future Utes. 😉
They'd prob prefer its in the back of a Mitsubishi rather than a Ford
Always a pleasure to watch Darryl hard at work doing his magic.
It's genuinely fascinating watching Daryl working on the hatch. I'd never have thought that watching a sweaty Aussie with a blowtorch, angle grinder and a welding gun could be so captivating.
Great watching Darrel at work. A real engineer for sure.
Yeh, not bad for a former chippie!
@@samrodian919 absolutely 😊
Darryl is an artist! I also liked how he used the descaler to imprint the oxidation into the weld joint. Just another expert trick!
Each and every one of them is a first-class professional, there is a wealth of knowledge and expertise there, it is wonderful to see how they do it all. Greetings from The Netherlands.
I love starting my wednesdays watching you boys at work, it's an inspirational way to start the day 👍 Cracking work as always chaps.
Considering that a slightly derogatory term for a Queenslander is "Banana Bender", it's good to see that you also have skills in unbending as well.
Impressed with the barrel straightening fellas... nicely done.
BRILLIANT stuff - Always makes me smile watching these lads at work.
Great skill, cleverness and a lets try this attitude, You guys do great work.
Absolute magic with the press!
Daz the magician " not too bad" Brilliant👍
These boys are showing that craftsmanship is alive and well!
The Aussies are gifted and talented at inovation and craftmanship!
@@blueduck9409 So true!
Haha, I coulda sworn at 0:38 you said "start working on our Vespa"..... Australian Armor & Scooter Museum. 🤣
Work like this is a joy to any engineer lucky enough to get a chance to do it, for the rest of us it's a joy to watch, thank you.
You guys do a very good job. Iam each wednesday here and watch over your shoulder - its never boring. Best regards from germany
That barrel is for shooting around corners! Darrel's got a great eye
Excellent work Daz.
I love seeing you blokes paying attention to even the smallest components
Great job reshaping that old barrel! I saw it and immediately thought there was no way they could fix it. Thanks for saving history!
Thanks for all you guys do to save our history
What an excellent episode. I love Daz's attention to detail and the effort he puts into these small parts. He and Jess did an amazing job on the barrel. I've got to get to Oz and visit the Museum to see this stuff in the flesh. In the meantime I can't wait for the next episode. Please keep up the great work team.
Glad to see you guys haven’t floated away just yet.
The barrel repair was insane! The control on the press was unbelievable....
The hatch and barrel look like they wanted to get back into shape.....
You guys make it look a lot easier than it probably is/was
Gosh these videos are so good. Really enjoy seeing these projects from salvage to completion. Keep it up!!
I could watch you guys for days upon days! What a wonderful gift you are leaving the world. Thank you so much!
You all are amazing! What a talented team of superb craftsmen! Not only the metal restoration but the video shoots and edits! Well done!
You guy’s work is absolutely incredible and magnificent good job guys, every member of the team is very talented so good job
Another cracking episode guys thankyou for keeping us updated.
Rain? You mean that isn't weathering for your 1:1 scale project :P Kidding aside both the hatch repair and barrel straightening were brilliantly done!
Amazing people doing amazing work.
Daryl is a star. You guys do great work, always enjoyable viewing.
Top job on the press with that barrel!👍
I love this channel so much. Watching the master craftsman at work is truly inspiring. Well done everyone.
Prayers for those effected by the Floods there.
That rain is almost louder than the daryls grinder!
Hug flooding event up that way. Even a bridge was undermined and cut in 2 .
Daz and all the other shop floor magicians are stupendous but lets not forget the video production element which is vital to the entertainment value we all enjoy. Thanks Kurt‼️👍👏
Absolutely brilliant work by everyone involved, fantastic to see the progress.
When you guys got the cannon barrel straightening, I was WOW how are you going to pull that one off. Well, you did one hell of a job on that sucker. You could probably fire a live round out of it.
I look forward to Wednesdays every week so I can see a new episode from you. You guys are fantastic. Super nice people and wonderfully refreshing yet expertly presented topics. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Austria
Awesome restoration work as always !. See you again on Friday episode !
So the Wespe will be the next? Good to know. Can't wait to watch this new project. 🙂
Hats off to the guys, amazing job on getting that barrel bent back. Perfect 👍🏻
Masters of Heavy Metal!
The week is saved... btw love the cello music at the end.
looks like the "Krummlauf" at 14:08. you can shoot around the corner with it. this was once a wonder weapon
Nothing like the mk1 eyeball! Nice work 👍🏻
Great stuff! I'm really looking forward to the Wespe project, too.
Brilliant work by Darryl. As well as an amazing collection of armour and artillery, AAAM has an equally top shelf collection of engineers 😁
That was jaw dropping watching them straighten the barrel. Wow! Well done, boys. :)
First time seeing a needle gun used to make it look older lol. That was fun to see.
Outstanding video and work done by Darrel
Good effort on that barrel - glad Daryl didn't get his bare legs too close to it!
I had my doubts on that barrel, but I have to admit it looks good!
Nice heat control! For the announcer. The torch head you called jumbo is know as a rosebud in shop jargon. That said, that is US jargon.
Excellent job producing these videos Kurt.
A couple of engineering marvels performed there Darryl,
The barrel would only be a coupla inches out at a thousand meters if that lol ..... close enough, well within tolerance 😉
BRAVO!!
en alweer Geweldig ! super 👍
Between all world restorations of old batle steel, You Gentelman's are absolutly TOP ONE. THank's for now , and waiting for another.👌🤟👍
Loving Darryls Roy Orbison impression when he was working on the barrel on the press .
I love watching these videos. The skills on show are amazing 👏
Well done! That barrel is display-worthy.
Best videos on RUclips. Learn alot, keep the videos coming Mike from Iowa.
well done on that barrel!
Great work, lads! In my opinion, there's no need to speed up the footage, it's plenty fun to watch at normal speed. It's not boring or redundant, just some good old shop work.
That barrel is flipping amazing!
I'm just a DIYer and I get some of my techniques for various tool use from you guys. I really enjoy learning this way.
As always a joy to watch the skilled work displayed !
Amazing job and can't be quick enough to see another episode of those restorations !
Thanks for that. Looking forward to a visit at the end of March and seeing a few of these bits. Turns out a cruise we're on berths for a couple of days in Yorkies Knob, only a few miles away. Result.
Thanks for the explanations as you work--the best classroom. It's great fun watching objects succumb to the plan.
Barrel accuracy back to 100%
12:22...Daryl looks like a little boy who has brought home a report card with all A's and B's! 😊
Masters of their craft. Great job lads.
As always, wow. Just wow!
These videos are the best part of my Wednesdays. ❤

Its great to see guys wotking on equipment in a field they have real passion for....not treating these pieces as a 9 to 5 but works of history😎🇦🇺💯👌
Wonderful 😊
WOW what a great job you guy are the best 👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
That rain is really belting down. I hope you guys don't have to build an ark. Great job as always.
