      Would you concidder it giving it its propper barrle in the future? This looks like an early L/50 barrle with the cylindrical flash hider.
      However most KwK 38s (and by that also Pz II Ausf.F) were equipped with the same L/65 Flak barrles, as they streamlined production, and stopped producing the L/50, only using up old stock on KwK 30s.

    Pretty confident the Germans who manufactured that Panzer II turret never thought it would end up on that back of a Triton Ute!

      To be fair, I don´t think the manufacturers of the TRITON could imagine a panzer II turret on the back of their wehicle either... 😄

    It's genuinely fascinating watching Daryl working on the hatch. I'd never have thought that watching a sweaty Aussie with a blowtorch, angle grinder and a welding gun could be so captivating.

    Darryl is an artist! I also liked how he used the descaler to imprint the oxidation into the weld joint. Just another expert trick!

    What an excellent episode. I love Daz's attention to detail and the effort he puts into these small parts. He and Jess did an amazing job on the barrel. I've got to get to Oz and visit the Museum to see this stuff in the flesh. In the meantime I can't wait for the next episode. Please keep up the great work team.

    Nice heat control! For the announcer. The torch head you called jumbo is know as a rosebud in shop jargon. That said, that is US jargon.
