40 years ago a work mate saved my life with the Heimlich maneuver......and a lot of people since then have never forgiven him for it! Wonder if any residents of Flintstone have named their children Pebbles & Bam Bam? The one thing that America has plenty of is magnificent scenery & thanks for showing it to us Adam.
Well it is happy from where im standing...Enjoying my day off as an "American" by the pool, drinking beer since 11am. Sorry to break your "reflection" time boys. And as for that dude trying to be racist.... Typing BS over the computer shows your superiority .... lol Oh yeah and try not cry too much while your reflecting, we all gotta work tomorrow :-)
That ark has been like that since I was a kid. My step grandfather was from that area, and we went up a few times a year. He also said they used dynamite to build the road through the mountains.
rainy vlog, stay safe you traveling through the fog, and terrapin country to the west there's gold and bluish Mountaineers in those next green trees galore hills, for much more for us viewers to thrills, so have a happy memorial day Adam the woo, and blog on through.
I used to take this route all the time when I would travel to PA to visit family. The Sideling Hill rest area used to host a museum that talked more about the construction of that road, and show the old bypass that went around the mountain instead of through it. The bridge was there to give museum access to the eastbound drivers.
greetings from Coventry England. another fine video thankyou so much for your continued great work. my wife and i are jealous as always and we are blown away as usual with your amazing country. keep up the excellent work.
Javier Rocha there are many wonderful plus points to the uk, but i think as its quite a small country , the sheer vastness of the states really appeals... long open roads the mountains . the possibility of just losing yourself for a while. .... bliss
"the sheer vastness of the states really appeals" When I hear that mentioned I always think of Texas and how you can drive 1,289 Km and still be in Texas! I live in a small state and we can only drive 692 Km and still be home. If you visit someday you really need to go out west and be astonished by the vast landscape and brilliant stars from skies that suffer from very little light pollution.
TechNWRO TE Ha ha try my Country Ireland at its widest its around 100 miles and just over 300 from top to bottom no wonder they talk about the "little people"
The name on the million-year glass bottle is "Liquid Bread". I've just learned today that "Liquid Bread" is an actual thing. Every day is a school day....
I wish there was a law or something that made people put an explanation next to every build. Like what it's going to be, what it is going to be used for, the date it started, current status, and maybe the estimated completion date. Ya know...for inquiring minds like us.
victor trout he'll just stick around the larger cities because simply there's more filming opportunities and if you notice the only time he's out of large cities or towns is when he's going to another one.
You are in our neck of the woods! So many cool things to see in south west pa. Fort necessity where George Washington fought, a giant cross, natural water slides and majestic waterfalls at ohiopyle state park. A treehouse at the historic summit inn. And a muffler man in uniontown. Hopefully you're checking out coopers rock today in wv. Can't wait to see where you end up next!
you mean the cross on top the mountain at jumonville? they have a nice trail to get up to it nowadays its a cool view from there. and the paul bunyan holding a muffler in uniontown is one of the few bunyan statues left in the entire country. there's also Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, two of Frank Lloyd Wright's houses built right down the road from each other up near ohiopyle. Most of that stuff and the fort is all within an hour travel radius easy to reach too if someone were going to go exploring in the area. there's also a few of the colonial iron furnaces left around, and lots of overgrown coke ovens everywhere still. I think there's still the foundations of a cement or lime production thing from the early 1800s up in the mountains near Dunbar, well past the area they used to call brokenwall, where the old dam system that broke and caused the big flood back when there were still factories and glass plants along the creek there were. (there were 4 of them, one of them was for a hydroelectric plant that closed in the 50s and has the foundation and a few tunnels left if you know where to look for them.)
Great video Adam. It was nice to see home. I grew up in Western Maryland. My home was about 2 miles from Noah's Arc located on Huffman Hollow road. Sidling Mountain got it's name from old stage coaches having to " slide sideways" down the mountain in parts. The cut in that hill is suppose to be the deepest cut on that route.
Hey 👋 Adam! Ehhh ehh eh. That’s One “Sweet Slide” Lives On. Go Time? Not Today, Not, Today. Been Through I-68 many Many Times In my Truck. Beautiful Drive! Not a lot of traffic but a lot of up & down. Takes forever when your heavy. Fun when your light. Thnx for the Tour! CJ
Adan I just need you to be in the D.C. area for another 2.5 weeks so I can meet you again. lol. I'm definitely going to Ben's Chili Bowl! thanks for the tip. Happy Memorial Day!
Adam, if your in the Clarksburg area of WV, come out and get yourself a hotdog and hamburger from the grill from the Nomadders home on this Memorial Day! Safe travels and enjoy our little state!
Ah!! I actually live near the ark. My friend's grandfather was the one who owned the church and decided to build the ark. Legend goes that he ran off with all the money to finish building it! So glad you got to stop in Frostburg!!
Adam, you were smart to veer away from the North East corridor with all of the Memorial Day weekend traffic. I loved the mountain views you showed us in Maryland. Maryland is so diverse with both the mountains and the ocean.
I needed to watch this Adam so that you could cheer me up a little, I just lost a dear friend and Brother in law and fellow serviceman, he died a week ago from a heart attack and my Sister is in a sad world right now after 37 years of being together, Thank you Adam for your on going and happy adventures.
Cool to see you in this area. I drove past that ark many times during my first semester of college when I went to school just about an hour and a half or so down the interstate in West Virginia. I transferred elsewhere after my first semester because I didn't like the school, but I always did love that drive.
What you need to do is check out the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in WVA! South about 40 miles on I-79...that place is wild. We did the overnight lock in...quite the experience.
yes this place would really be a better place id people were like Adam, but they are not, happy Memorial day, bless our vets, living and those that have passed, thank you for your service
Good day Adam, I've been watching your daily videos for about a year now and it's a pleasant 10-15 minute break from reality. I always try to travel as much as possible, but now I've found myself searching for more obscure locations that "Adam would like." Anyways, I'm from Kansas City (you still need to come here....) and my favorite radio station is 96.5 The Buzz, last Tuesday the guys Lazlo & Slimfast were talking about interviewing you a few years ago. I thought it was so cool; kind of mixing my two "entertainment getaways" in such an unsuspecting manner. Love your videos, and you should give the guys a shout for another interview or check out their blog while driving to hear their kind words regarding you. Take care.
Favorite v logs! You always keep me coming back for more!! Enjoy your Monday! Love the Flintstones!! Maryland is a lovely state![! Super vlog! Jesus will return when we least expect him! See you tomorrow!!
Me and my brother always travel that same way and go to that first rest stop on are way to West Virginia pretty cool he was there and we always drive by that big Noah's Ark as well Safe travels Adam
Love Siding hill! I used to pass through it all the time going to going to college in Frostburg! and yes that ark was unfinished long before I went to college.
So close to Pittsburgh! If you can find time on your travels to stop please do so, could even do a meet up, lots of people here are fans of the woo! Safe travels my friend!
Retired civil engineers (such as I) enjoy seeing these massive "Cuts", as seen while Adam was "strutting" about the freeway. First noted by early explorers and surveyors on a 1755 map as Side Long Hill. Studies found that a tunnel would cost nearly double the amount of actually cutting through the mountain, and the maintenance for a tunnel would be more costly than the upkeep of the roadway. So it was decided to slice through this rugged mountain. Marine and plant fossils were discovered encased in the mountain while moving nearly *3.5 million cubic meters of sedimentary material* further proof that this part of Maryland was once under the ocean. Impressive! Yes, most impressive. www.fhwa.dot.gov/infrastructure/back0210.cfm
OO Adam somebody just told me about this place Have you been here HUGS! Loves your VIDEOS!!! The Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel just outside of Walhalla, SC
Those facing reststops are everywhere on the main Korean highways. The bathrooms are well maintained and they sell everything you would want to eat or drink...including alcohol LOL.
The "walk over" is at a spot called "The Cut" by the locals. Green Ridge State Forest is one of my favorite camp spots in Western Maryland. See - plus.google.com/u/0/collection/wJfkpB The C&O canal and Potomac River run along side the park. The gun shots you heard are from the shooting range.
Adam if you travel to the northern pan handle of WV there is a town called Moundsville which is where I grew up, there is an Indian Burial Mound and a huge prison you can tour. Really awesome locations. My father was a guard at the prision and he would take me and my brother there to get our hair cut by a prisoner. Anyway look it up!
today is the day to remember all the veterans that have lost their lives for our freedom in America. Adam thank you for your vlogs!!!

Haha! Nice humor!
Noah's rarely spoken of fourth son was Bob the welder, an artificer of steel beams and girders.
Maybe long lost daughter Rosie the Riveter.
Gotta admit, its nice to finally watch TDW in the comfort of my own home 👍🏼 Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day Everyone!
Jose De La Rosa "Happy Memorial Day" It's a day to remember those who died in combat for the USA . Happy and Memorial Day do not go together.

In that case, I hope you had a quite miserable and depressing memorial day
Thanks Adam safe travels as always
That ark has been like that since I was a kid. My step grandfather was from that area, and we went up a few times a year. He also said they used dynamite to build the road through the mountains.
Was thinking the bike wreck too as you were crossing the beams. We always wish we were more coordinated than we actually are!
Could be thousands ....could be millions
Billyuns and billyuns
TheDailyWoo My friend goes to that church were the ark is, and he said the pastor stole the money for the project and ran away.

Good morning Adam. Coffee and TDW is a great way to start the week!
Happy Memorial Day! That's a huge Coke!
"Bam Bam" brought the LOLz. Nice man!
That was awesome!! The views were crazy cool!

+Jim Schuck that makes sense actually . Didn't think of that
You "warned" him? LOL! Pathetic.
Sora Song Do NOT threaten Adam on here.
You "warned" him not to post whatever he wants on his own channel? Pardon me while I viscerally laugh at you.

That ark was like that long before they even started building the one in Kentucky.
Good job on the video Adam
my home town Cumberland. wish I knew you was coming through Adam, I'd have showed you some cool attractions.

Ah, good ol' I-68. I have spent many many many hours driving this stretch of road, between D.C. And Pittsburgh.
I love when rest stops have walkways just to do some walking before I get back in the car.
