This was great. "I don't write about Australia because it's boring" I understand completely. I live in Scotland and I'm from here. My characters thus far are in the USA. I've lived all around the USA and write in US English. I have family in the US, Ireland, Scotland, England, Austrailia and New Zealand. I am amazed at all the romance authors who write about the kilt wearing highlander. Again, just a daily occurrence when you live here. 😉 Work life balance is definitely needed. When I've dealt with a couple of weeks of rain and a few sunny days come along you can bet I'm taking advantage of that and walking along the shore as I live along the seafront.
