I’ve seen Rebecca several times in a Facebook group I’m in, and she is so generous and encouraging and real. I was thrilled you had her on the show. I would love to know whether her site for buying direct from authors accepts genres other than romance. Thanks for the great show! 🥰
This is such a lot to digest that I will have to rewatch, possibly several times as I know very little about marketing. Rebecca Hefner is a woman who seems to have her fingers into everything, I seriously don't know how she does it; does she even sleep? Thank you ladies for another great podcast.
I'd also love some advice on saving and managing all these different files for all the books and book formats. I'm totally new to this and not at all tech savvy
Hi! I'd be happy to try and help. I use a combination of Dropbox and Google Drive to manage all my files. It requires a lot of extensive labeling and folders, but once I label everything appropriately, it makes sense to my brain!🙂
@@AuthorDLWhite Haha, so honestly, it's probably the worst kept secret I have. Most of my readers know it. Those books are self-proofread and edited so they're not quite up to the quality of my professionally-edited/proofread Rebecca/Ayla books, so I just want to make sure people don't discover them and think they're representative of my entire catalog. BUT that pen name's reader base is there for the spice so I find them more lenient with random errors. LOL. Also, I try to make sure my dear mother won't discover that name. I think the spice might be a *bit* too much for her.🤣
That would be a question to ask Rebecca, we didn't cover it in the interview Cori. Highly recommend joining her facebook group Marketing Audiobooks Wide :)
For now, all of my newsletters and my Substack have new content BUT I don't write very long newsletters. I use Substack as a way to reach new readers and my existing newsletters as a way to reach my current readers.
Thank you so much for having me! I love chatting with you all!🥰
Our pleasure once again, Rebecca! Thank you for all you do for the author community :)

Hi! Just me here lurking in the comments. 😆Thanks for the kind words, and YES, Buy Direct From Authors accepts all genres! We'd love to have you!
She's incredible - we've had her on for this episode, and for ep #397
This was oh so helpful! I'm going to watch this a few time just like the last time Rebecca was on. She is such a gem like all of you amazing ladies!
So glad you enjoyed this! And thank you for your kind comment xx
I really enjoyed this podcast. Very informative and fun.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great info. My mind boggles with all that she does as well as actually writing!
Yes! She's a powerhouse of productivity and positivity!

Do we need an ISBN for every format? Ebook, hard boook, audio etc? I'm so confused
Every format needs an isbn but I use the free one from draft 2 Digital or Amazon for ebook. I save my Bowker ISBN for print and audio formats.
@@AuthorDLWhite oh ok. Thank you for that . Much appreciated x
Yes, but some countries give them for free, so before you buy ISBNs check, perhaps you don't have to pay for them.
I was just joking with Rebecca about all she does AND she writes books!
I might secretly be a cyborg--I'm not quite sure! Haha. Love working with you and so happy we connected!🥰
@@rebeccahefnerauthor No longer a secret, Rebecca! One Q- why is the steamy name a secret?

@@rebeccahefnerauthor oh 100% get you. My mother is not allowed to read past the dedication. Go ahead and close it up and put it in the bookcase, Ma.
@@AuthorDLWhite 🤣🤣Exactly!!
Are you repurposing your content for each of your newsletters and substacks or are they all different every send out?

@@rebeccahefnerauthor gotcha! That makes sense!
