On30 Model Railroad - Hand Laying Track in Blackwater Jct. on the Mosquito Creek Lumber Co. layout.

In this new LAYOUT UPDATE video I’m hand laying track, and spiking rail at the On30 drop down track extension and the yard in Blackwater Jct.
The MCL Co. is my fictional On30 narrow gauge Louisiana swamp logging model railroad. The original large layout was moved twice, the last version was dismantled about a year ago and is slowly being rebuilt as a shelf layout in a spare bedroom/office of our new home.
As winter begins here in the Midwest, I’m busy bringing my On30 narrow gauge Blackwater Jct. town section back to life. It won’t be long until trains are rolling through the swamp again!

Making progress brother! Looking good!! Great tip with the PCB Ties. They would work good for lift out bridges too. Yea I have 2 of the 3 point gauges too for when I start hand laying. Thanks for sharing.

Arent you going to have a short across those converging rails soldered to the PCB TIES? Shouldn’t there be three gaps cut to isolate all four rails?

Can you tell me the gap in inches between the On30 level and the upper level?

It's around 23- inches from top of rail to top of rail. Space between the layouts is about 16 -inches.
