Great video Steve and you once again make it look easy and tempting to try one of these smaller kits. Can't wait to see the mountains etc added to this build! Nice job as always! Cheers from Laurel, Delaware USA.

Looks like a good way to get back into the hobby and since I am space limited this might make a great On30 layout

I met this guy and got most of my On30 stuff from him, he’s a good guy and I’m hoping to buy one of his many kits soon

Been looking forward to this series of videos. I have an Iron Works “kit” so you have provided some impetus for me to get going. I think I will use N scale track so I can do N, On18, 009 and HOn3 with a change of structures with DC and/or DCC. Hope I can find some PECO 009 track with the larger tie (sleeper) spacing. Great idea using spare rail to stabilize the track.

Seems like a great way to try out a new scale without spending a whole lot of money.

Wow, great build video Steve! Clever idea with soldering the track to hold it to shape. Getting the track around the small radius curves is definitely the hardest part of the build. But you make it all look easy. Thanks for featuring this build!❤

I like this layout, how much room is in between the tracks on top? I have a project in mind and space is a concern.

I’ll have to measure but the base itself is like 23x25 inches so it is less than that.

Would KATO track work? Not sure if HO or N is their only track sizes.😅

For N scale, the options are more flexible. For HO scale, only the Peco turnout that he mentions will work. You could also build it without the turnouts, of course.
