    This video was honestly a huge help. The instructions are limited and don't say much about the different bolts included when using a 6 post, but I noticed that the first bolt I put in was longer than the rest, so it didn't take long to figure out. Thanks a ton for the walkthrough!

    Awesome setup and great video! I’m waiting for my RM3 to arrive and I’m trying to plan out my platform in the meantime. What was the thickness of your platform. I notice it’s 3 sheets that you have but what is the exact thickness of each sheet? Also do you think I could get away with just two sheets? I plan on using band pegs and I don’t want my rack tipping over as well as I’m hoping to deadlift inside the rack so I’m gonna use a similar technique like you did with those two narrow sheets you have on both ends but instead I plan to make them just a bit wider to accommodate the plates for deadlifting.

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 года назад +1

      The sheets are about 3/4” each. Two would work but three provides more of a stable platform.

    Another awesome video, Kurt. Thanks for producing it and the tips on assembly and layout of the various accessories of the RM-6. I am trying to convince myself to upgrade from the RML 490 in order to get enough height to do overhead and hanging movements inside of a rack. It seems 90 inches isn't enough height for me. The other decision is black versus red. My life seems to be filled with "luxury" problems.

      9 feet is 108 inches. You will have no clearance.
      I am 6'03" and the 100 inch is plenty. I've used 108 racks at a gym and I had to use a box to get to the bar to do things like hanging leg raises with straps, then kicking the box or stool away, then reaching for it with my feet to get down. I think 108 is too high.
      Also, you need to think about the space above the rack.
      Bottom line, if you go Rogue, you are good. I have had the RML and now have an RM6. An RM4 or RM3 is fine. I think you get more stability with a wider 4 than with a 3. If you go with a 3, you had better plan on bolting it to the floor.
      Also, the rack weighs more than 400 pounds. Add the weight of your bars, plates, dumbbells and toys, and you should be on reinforced concrete. I think my set up has grown to between 4,000 and 5,000 pounds.

    Great video as always. Curious to know if the rack was shipped freight or UPS ground. I've been hearing lately that Rogue has gone away from freight shipments and I'll be damned if I'm placing any more large orders with them if everything is going to ship ground. Ground shipments with large/heavy metal products is a recipe for easily damaged products. Fortunately all of my previous orders from Rogue always came on pallets. Thanks for all the continued great content you provide!

    Iam debating between the rm3 30" or the rm4 to drop in my standalone Rhino to save a little bit of space in my garage gym. Is the rm4 41 or 49" depth??
    Also is there any advantage of dropping in rhino inside a rack besides saving some space?? I don't need a lat pull down, I already own a selectorized lat pull down machine and a selectorized functional trainer too to do cable exercises. Anyways anily advice would help. Thank u😊

    • @TheKurtlocker
      @TheKurtlocker  3 года назад

      The garage in this video is a modified 2 car. It used to be about 24 wide by 20 deep and was extended with an addition. The biggest hurdle for garage gyms and the RM6 will likely be ceiling and rack heights.

      However Harbor Freight sells an 8pc Socket jumbo set that goes up to 1.5 inches (they don't sell it individually), then you'll have to get a ratchet (which they have).
