remember following him at pebble in 2019. then he signed my flag after his round. so happy he’s becoming a legend
Collin is so calm, confident and enjoyed. He will win more majors for sure.
They should call him smiles, perfect nickname for him
Yes, fosure.
That's the way you win tournaments by being kool and collective. Tiger was very cool and collective and I miss him very much. These modern day guys just font have it like he did nor fi they interview like him, he always put in positive words for golf no matter how bad he played. Now with those 2 clown arguing all the time is hurting their games. They need to stop that and work on there short games. Both short games suck now.
@@stanleyarrington8603 Sometimes Tiger got angry, Collin doesn't.
@@khale7180 Yo How Did I get into this conversation, the young Player Collin will win more tournaments hes so kool.
Morikawa is exactly what golf needs. Young, ambitious, confident and yet humble and gracious. What a champ! Unbelievable he won two majors in his debut on both events. Move over tiger, this might be the man to challenge Nicklaus record in majors. Exciting!!!
The same was said about Rory. Hold your horses. The consistency Tiger showed is yet to be matched. Leave this kid do his thing. He has the potential,, but he has a lot to prove before being in the conversation with Jack and TW.
Morikawa is classy, intelligent and humble.
@@1b0o0 he actually seems way more consistent than Rory. I know it's early but two majors in his first two debuts is nothing to sneeze at. Pardon me for being excited. But I'm a big fan.
@@jeffreyyoungblood7438 Rory had four Majors by age 25. His drought came afterwards. I understand the feat to win two Majors while debuting in both of them, but he has to keep doing it for a very long time. I like him very much too, I'm just cautious.
It's hard not to like this guy, Collin is deservedly on top of the world
Confident but not cocky. I like it!
Congrats to Collin Morikawa. Just proves that distance isn't all. You have to be precise, and boy is he ever.
On a course like this precision beats distance 100% of the time.
@@jeffreyyoungblood7438 on any course, really. On this course is just more evident.
@@1b0o0 Bethpage Black might want a word. But I agree with you, it's not like Colin is even short off the tee. There are a very very small number of courses where the length would trouble him, and even then, he might just overcome it anyway with his all around game.
Bingo, you've got it. Collin doesn't have 20" biceps with Bryson D. and Brooks K......but he has the trophy.
@@adamblakley3780 the advantage you get playing from the short grass is immense. This fact was proven this weekend. He might be hitting a 6 instead of an 8 or a 9, but with his accuracy, I don't see a problem for Colin. He has superb recovery skills, so as you say, his all-around game won't care about tee boxes going 10-20 yards away from the hole.
What a consumate golfer and gentleman that Colin is. Phenominal skills, cool headededness, people person and a crowd pleaser. Wow. Great for golf and even greater for golfers and golf fans.
I wish these majors were spread and spaced out more evenly throughout the season. They've had 3 in a row now all within an 8 week span.. and now we wait 9 months till the next one!
it’s called summer
They are normally more spaced. COVID-19.
@@papagrge2260 That's the problem with having all 4 majors in the northern hemisphere, not to mention 3 in the same country which is a complete joke for what is becoming a global sport. There should be a major that rotates through South Africa and Australia/NZ (there's your November-January tournament) plus Japan and South Korea.
Yea and next thing you know we are playing in a shit hole like Rio. Oh wait it already happened. If you want to see golf around the globe watch the olympics otherwise stop trying bash the majors and leave them be cause it’s fine how it is.
Yeah, I'd prefer to see the PGA Championship in late September/early October, but I think some of the resistance to it may be the unwillingness to go up against the NFL in the broadcast ratings game.
Haven't really seen an iron player like this since Tiger. If his putting stays this good, more majors are coming.
You should check out TaylorMade’s video with Tiger and Collin. They do an iron hitting session.

So Cal air and the connection maybe?🌞
Agreed, phenomenal talent and crucially has the temperament to go with it. He’ll win a lot, whilst impossible to match Tiger in numbers with how many top players there are in this era. Seems like a really great lad to root for as well. Pleased for him 👍
your favorite ball striker’s favorite ball striker. so pumped for Collin! and shoutout to Royal St. George’s for a wonderful tournament. proper test, identified the best, most skilled player in the field. can’t wait until next year!!
He has made golfing history by being the only player to win two majors on their debut. This guy is going to dominate for years to come.
What a great sports he is. Composed and classy, new age of a winner!
@Regdu Geht where you from
Congrats Colin. Two majors under your belt. Lots of players never even win a major. Amazing
Morikawa just makes golf look so easy! Drive the fairway, hit an iron on to the green, preferably right next to the pin, then hole the putt. Simple as that. Great player, he's gonna win a ton more if he carries on playing like this.
Amazing performance. Nerves of steel. It's just the beginning!
The way he hits irons is illegal.
@@Troll_the_Trolls the second one i think
@@Troll_the_Trolls bruh what do you think
@@Troll_the_Trolls I thought my tone was conveyed well enough w/ the “bruh,” but I guess not. My question was rhetorical. It was basically saying, “are you stupid? Of course it’s not ACTUALLY illegal.”
Kind of like when, for example, someone fails a really important test, and his friend asks “are you sad, man?” The person replies, “bruh what do you think?” He’s not actually asking the friend what he thinks, he’s saying “no shit I’m sad. What a dumb question.”
Is it coming through now?
@@Troll_the_Trolls No problem :) I hope you learned something. Just as a piece of farewell advice, maybe next time you can make liking your own comments less obvious haha. It’s also hilarious how you guys ALWAYS just resort to namecalling and sarcasm when you get outmaneuvered. It’s almost axiomatic. Regardless, I hope you have a nice day.
@@Troll_the_Trolls Likewise. Good thing we cleared things up :)
What a great finish to a great Open. The crowds, the course, the weather and the winner were all immaculate. A real shining light and sense of hope in these hard times
Great highlights. Loved the mix of good and bad shots to show us the reality of golf
Class act, congratulations Collin.
Collin has somuch class. He plays like an old school Hall of Famer, so chill, confident , laid back, determined. Hope his competitors can learn how from him. He is the real deal. Not many are..
Congratulations Collin that was a fine surgical display of precision golf. Looking forward to many more championships on the horizon you're a pleasure to watch.
So refreshing to see someone just go out and play their game. Calm, composed and a well deserved winner at the open. Congratulations Colin
Wonderful. Spieth as well
Love the open
24 yrs old, amazing!
Plays in his first PGA and Wins plays in his first Open and Wins, that is SO impressive!!!
Great Iron play, super calm/cool temperament and highly intelligent, Golf is in good hands for the next few years👍
Proudly South African and rooting for Louis but kudos to Morikawa, ice in his veins and very respectful, well done!
Congrats Collin Morikawa.... great!!!
Wonderful video!!! Thank you for sharing.
An amazing debut at The Open!
Move over fellas you need room for one more at the top table!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Way to go Collin, winning the British Open for Japan! You made them very proud!
Man I wish I could hit wedges with that crispy sound. So smooth.
Hit down on it bro 😂
@@phukyew14 you laugh til you cry from “hit down on it bro”? You may need to speak with a professional if making that type of comment brings you such an emotional reaction.
Weight forward, hands forward, and turn everything back and through together, with the chest. No feeling of independent arm motion. All chest driven, simply rotating around your center both backswing and forward swing, letting the arms relax and just move where the rotation takes them. Figure out a ball position that's comfortable, and you almost can't help but hit solid wedges. Works for me, anyway. You might give it a shot. But really, you should probably just see a professional. Also, as another commenter mentioned, this method will allow you to "hit down on it bro". Effortlessly, and without trying to do so with the arms and hands, which is just not very repeatable.
@@winstonsmith11 upload a vid there winny
@@urmama54 I was extremely bored. That method does work well for me, though.
When Collin was walking to the 18th hole, he look like a general with his man following in the army.
He had the Tiger walk lol
he honestly looks like he's holding a sword marching into battle
Right up until some zany Brit at the 18th tee broke out his whoopee cushion! So much for 'proper British decorum'💂♀️🇬🇧
Super post. You are a great thing for Golf!!
This is what golf needs........ class!!!!!!!...........less bullshit. Thank you Colin and please all others take notice.
Collin is a classy man.
I love him…. His irons are that of a young tiger woods!! So controlled in everything he does!
Good for him, what a great golfer. He totally deserves it.
He can be the next great he has a great future

What a talent! Special player in the making.
Proud of our hometown boy! 👏❤️👏
Way to go Collin!! 🎉
damn interesting course killer green. Mori a fighter with precision to the flag. awesome golfer
Colin morikawa is handsome and talented. Love
Collin already.. :)
Happy for Collin. Wish I learned golf as a kid!!!
Yoku dekimashita Collin’san, much “ALOHA” to you and the Ohana. Hope to see more major wins come your way and see that sweet swing at the Sony.
He played brilliantly. Well done!
Well played Collin.. Well deserved..
Absolute gun this guy , from iron play to putting , well done . Speith and Morikawa for the masters 👍🏌️♀️⛳️
I like to think Tiger will be Colin's biggest mentor starting with the Ryder/Presisents cup. They both have the most pure long irons I've seen and both have a calculated but calm approach. I love it.
Tremendous golf shots in this. Koepka is a consistent threat in majors. Spieth almost did it. Nice to see him play so well again.
This was awesome
Great golf well done for winning. Enjoy
Don’t forget he is cal Berkeley grad with business degree. That is pretty impressive
Intelligent and athletic
Paul McGinley reminding me after every hour of coverage made sure I didn’t forget
Better than DeShankbo. The debate is over! 😂
Hahahaha, DeShankbo!! Lmaoooo.
Exactly, Biceps are for Venus Beach.

He wanted to kill the course with his powerful drive but the course kill him at the end of day.
Class act!
He had a Tiger about him did Morikawa today. Played sensational golf. As for Spieth which I'm a fan of, he blew it on the back 9 yesterday and the front 9 today. Morikawa had a bogy free final round in his PGA win and today wow.
Yeah Spieth has that issue where he gets hot for half of his round but doesn’t grind pars when he needs to
No bogeys his last 31 holes!!
@@gators9570 He'll win the Masters and The Open next year playing like he did, but must close out a round.
As an englishman (and no one to cheer for locally) I was pulling for Jordan he's come a long way from the depths of despair and nearly pulled it off. More majors upcoming for Spieth you'll see.
@@BOO66IOU The Masters and The Open are locked in for me with Spieth. Playing like he did he'll be hard to beat at them two majors. So will Morikawa too.
Really interesting course, watched way too much coverage.
all 11 hours of it and that's only on Sunday hahaha
You can never watch too much of the majors. But this one was particularly interesting.
Truly, half of the leader board won. Collin just won more. Jordan and John played phenomenal. Collin out played them. Louie only messed up one hole, and it cost him the Jug. The lie shots need to come back to America! That was brilliant! Congratulations Collin. A very well deserved, 24 year old, “British Open Champion”. Lol, they cut that out. 10/10 did NOT disappoint. Fantastic golf tournament with surprisingly perfect weather. The sunburnt knees comment was made. Once again, The Open was won by the best golfer. Can’t wait for next year at St. Andrews for the 150 Open Tournament!! I’m already looking forward to seeing Collin defend. God Bless America!! 🇺🇸
Collin didn't outplay them he just holed more putts when he needed to. Rahm outplayed them but couldn't get the putts to drop. Pleased for Collin tho seems a genuine nice guy
Winning on 2 major debuts - not even Tiger did that! a special talent
31 holes no bogeys, I went 31 minutes once, and that was at the turn getting a hot dog.
This makes me proud to be an American again, at 70 I had been losing it lately. Might also be that Collin & I were both born in LA, so this is like "roots" or something? Well done Collin!!!
What a player..
Amazing

Bring back the open championship to the u.s. good job Colin .
And everyone thought Monty would be the first Colln to win the Open.
One of the NBC announcers actually called him Collin Montgomery during the broadcast
@@andrekrapcha938 That's bad, I think Morikawa is of the sort who would forgive NBC.
Lol that choke job? Montgomery could barely win a non major tournament. haha
Unlucky Louis! Maybe next time, but the swing is majestic! Well done Colin!
Always good to see an American win!!! Nice
I hope so he was fun to watch
Well done Collin, see u next game'
Good guys win!
I enjoy watching this highlights so much. Spieth could have given Collin a huge threat had he focused a little better earlier with his putting.
2 majors for the year. That works! And kudos to the large MASKLESS crowd.
Showed about triple Spieth and Rahm highlights rather than Morikawa but who would expect them to get it right
Colin is a solid iron player. I think his fade is a good help to that. Nicklaus, Woods, Miller, all great faders. Hogan could be another.
A great win for my favorite player!
My favorite too
CHAMPION!
When will the Open return to Turnberry?
Congrats to Collin, 1st player to win 2 Majors on his debut appearances
Nothing like sneaking it in the back door and getting away with it. What an emotional rollercoaster
I watched this and I thought Jordan Spieth might catch him. He got a nice prize money for 2nd,. Good Job Collin!
On that rare occasion that I've won a medal match, walking up the 18th felt amazing. To make that walk at the Open must be indescribable.
Collin 💪💪💪💪
11:15 Why is "Pat Metheny" in the background? :-)
Great guy. I just hope he get the history of the open, looks like a excited teenager 🤓
John Rahm is a killer man, didn’t even seem like he played too well and took 3rd😂
He is the future
wouldn't be shocked if the top 3 next year at st Andrews is some order of morikawa, spieth and Louis.
How many putts did rahm miss on Sunday?! Collin has a great temperament and holed the putts when he needed to very gutsy.
Nice on
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Golfer hits shot
America: GET IN THE HOLE!!!
UK: *politely claps*
It happened quite often here too, you must not have been watching
Weird that they never talk about how much money they win. For me it adds to my enjoyment, knowing how much pressure a player is under to hole a 10 footer. Anyway, nice highlights.
Collin has all the shots, great course management, plays better with pressure, and made the least amount of mistakes. And today, his up and downs for par and long ranged birdie putts was the difference. Louis lost it on the 7th, bogeying the easy (for pros) par 5. But he's only 38. He'll be back. Spieth couldn't quite makeup the distance on his bogey bogey R3 finish. Rahm, Johnson and Koepka all had a chance at one point but too many mistakes.
So refreshing to see a guy win with precision and putting instead of the weekly long drive competition. Yeah. I'm one of the weirdos that followed the Calvin Peetes and Lee Trevinos rather than Greg Norman and John Daly.
These highlights are ridiculous. They’re 75% about Jordan Speith and he didn’t even win! Who gives a F.
Congrats to the champion Colin Morikawa! Who we should be watching.
The title says full highlights not Collin Morikawa highlights, so it's normal
My God. What a dumb comment.
They needed to show a good amount of Spieth, he was the only one who seriously challenged Collin on the back 9. Good highlight package
@@Maino88 are you serious? Did you not watch the full video? They barely show Morikawa who played outstanding compared to Speith or anybody else.
My god, imagine being this much of a dumbass. Oh wait.
@@travelledbones Did you not read my comment?
The 2018 Masters highlights had tons of other players, not just Tiger and Molinari, so what‘s wrong with this?
I dont understand why some peoples says that his swing is illegal, there's nothing wrong with his swing..it is his style, and its much much better than the short swing. He played a lot with Tiger, and the way he spoken about his golf is all about feels and sciences on the course surrounding areas where he is playing with.. Exactly like what Tiger has always been playing with his own rhythm of good golf, to get to feel the whole surrounding of the golf course he'd played. To see, to feel, to adapt, to play his own rhythms(swings) and to produce a good game of golf.
LeTs GoO
There is no need to watch Golf on the Olympics, this was the Gold Medal.
how about that crazy weather eh ???
