NB is the best. I go each yr when I can. I'm in my 50s and I think NB and any place in SF is great for all age groups. So much history. I love the vibe, the ppl, the buildings. Forget what the media says. SF is amazing.
Wish they finished building the central subway to North Beach. The tunnels actually extend to just below Washington Square Park, so it would be possible to build a station relatively cheaply, but I doubt it’ll be built in the next 20 years. That’d really make the neighborhood perfect.
Our favorite restaurant, Franchino's on Columbus closed during the pandemic. We loved that place. The husband and wife ran it with their daughters, and the mom always had a special homemade item on the menu. It'll be hard to find another place like that!
That’s awful - hate to hear stories like that! Definitely can’t replace it but there’s been some new stuff moving into the area. It will never beat the classics though.
Very informative. Some of those places i SAW in other Videos. Im from Germany and bay area ist my big dream since im a child. There are this dish called cioppino and i definetly wanna try it Out some day. Also im interested in learning better english before i visit San Francisco. Maybe some people can Help me Put with that i would be very Happy to have that
There are still so many amazing parts of the city. Most of what you read and hear about is focused on only a small subset. There are major problems that need addressing but the “widespread” nature of any homelessness or crime or drug problem is much overstated.
@@austinklarThe city is so sad now, a shell of its former self. . Gentrification destroyed the city. Homelessness FENTANYL, TRANQ zombies, etc. just a shame. SF used to be a sleepy almost European like affordable city full of music and ethnic enclaves full of culture. No more Italians in North Beach, no more African Americans in the Filmore no more Latinos in the Mission. Chinatown is a strong arm robbery stronghold 😮Downtown is gutted full of addicts. This is where Capitalism ultimately takes us, no protection and price controls nornalizing $4000 a month for a 2 bedroom that was $500 in 2000 is 😮 you could rent a whole villa in Tuscany for the entire summer for that amount 😮
North Beach is awesome. Definitely my fav San Francisco hood. Thanks for the vid.
🔥🔥 appreciate it!

Yes to all of this! One of the most quintessential SF neighborhoods. And the food!

That would change things up for sure. Still a 10/10 in my book 🍕🍝

This was great. Visiting SF after 25 years and can’t wait to go see all these things I missed last time thanks for the info.
Thank you so much! I hope you have the best time :)

I lived at Filbert Street in 2006/2007, hence before the homeless disaster. It was a wonderful time.
I was thinking the same thing while viewing this. Used to be a beautiful city❤not now.

Where on Filbert did you live and where did you move?

Molanari Deli is THE Best!!
Yes! My favorite 🍞🥪
Didn't mention Mario's!!! No excuse!
Admittedly I’ve never been 😬. Need to go there!
You picked Tony's pizza over golden boys.. wow
ALLLLL DAY. I love Golden Boy (lots of late drunk pizza there lol) but I think Tony's is better. Aside from the 2 hour wait.
Go home.
I’m home.
