    • @skycap93
      @skycap93 9 лет назад +54

      If you look at :30 to about :34, you'll see the bulls offense clearing the paint to let Jordan go to work. In a legal defense, you have to be within a certain distance to an offensive player. You'll see that while the big white bulls player runs out of the paint, the defender does not follow and instead remains in the paint awaiting Michael's drive to the basket. The defender is not allowed in the paint without being within about an arms distance away from an offensive player, thus the illegal defense

    • @AJVersatility19
      @AJVersatility19 9 лет назад +25

      Yu Ka Chan No, an "illegal defense" is another way of saying defensive 3 seconds in the key. Like Caleb said, you can't be in the painted area by yourself without being an arm's length away from an offensive player. That's why the announcer kept saying "Parish is illegal." The call was on Robert Parish for staying in the lane for too long.

    • @aoka5464
      @aoka5464 9 лет назад +16

      Incorrect. Illegal defense was basically a zone in the 90s. Parish was illegal because he wasn't guarding anybody. He hadn't even been in the paint for 3 seconds and, if he had, that's simply called a 3 second violation.

    • @AJVersatility19

    In case you missed it. When people say it was harder to score in the 90’s, this is proof to show you otherwise.
    Robert Parish was called for an illegal defense for leaving his man and zoning up in the paint to protect Jordan’s potential drive.
    With strict man to man rules, help defense was nearly no existent on these iso plays in the 90’s.
    Today, you can point to the no hand check rule favoring the offense. But implementing strategic zone defenses has made the game far more difficult for the offensive players today.
    Kobe has a quote back in the late 2000’s.
    “I don't care if you hand check us with three hands. If there's nobody behind you, you're not going to stop us. So the zone I think cripples some of the top scorers.”
    Oh and I almost forgot, good D by Boggues

    answer me honestly. Had it been that Michael Jordan is 5'3" in height do you think he will be taken as NBA player? With his high leap do you think he can beat mugsy as a point guard? Me think Mugsy is best than Jordan had they been both 5'3". MJ became exceptional because of his high leap and 6'6"" height Had MJ is 5'3" he do not have anymore that high leap. Bugs is a total player despite being bantam.

    • @DemonXY2J
      @DemonXY2J 10 лет назад +8

      Michael jordan is not just an athletic 6'6 guy. Jordan had all the moves his skill level was beyond anyone elses. If michael jordan was 5'3 his vertical leap would be higher because he would weigh less. Its not just about being taller and being more athletic. Its their skill level.

    • @diosdadoapias
      @diosdadoapias 10 лет назад +1

      DemonXY2J Despite being 5'3" Mugsy is more skillful and athletic than Jordan. He had proven it when he played in the NBA. For Jordan he had proven that he is good as a 6'6" player. His being better than Mugsy had he been 5''3" is theoretical. But Theoretically Mugsy could be a very great player had he been 6'6"-Proof?! He had played as a very good point guard in the NBA. He Long-shot and even Lays-up(?!) against taller than 6'6"despite being so small.

      ***** U R the idiot. Because u r not thinking what you are answering. The issue is not if there is another MJ. but if he is still better had he been 5'3". u r not only an idiot but dumb for u may be a normal person but u do not know what u r answering. Do u really understand english?

    Jordan & Pippen were about the same as defenders. But when you add in MJ’s ruthlessness and trash talk, that put him ahead of Scottie. When Johnny was coaching with the Hornets in 1995 they had a good team. Glen Rice, Mourning, Johnson. Series was tied at 2 and Hornets had a chance to win game 5 in Chicago. On the biggest possession of the game, Mugsy had the ball with the Hornets down 1. Jordan backed off of him and told him: “shoot it you fucking midget.” Mugsy shot it, didn’t come close.
