- Statum Roboris, meaning "State of Strength", was a marching song designed to exalt the power of the totalitarian state. The song was composed as a propaganda tool to reinforce Caesar's vision for society as a "nationalist, imperialist, totalitarian, homogenous culture that obliterates the identity of every group it conquers". The composition was specifically designed to evoke feelings of strength, in reference to the total dominance of the Legion's state apparatus over the lives of its subjects and soldiers. The piece is designed to celebrate that "the individual has no value beyond his utility to the state, whether as an instrument of war, or production."
I promise I won’t get political 3 beers later
Take down this post legion stand alone
The legion is life before and after 3 beers
The legionaries chant this as they march in single step, down the old pre-war Interstate the ancients created long before them, westward, to their destiny in the lands of Nevada
Could absolutely hear this in a Legion controlled city with Legionaries working or constructing something.
This man does NOT miss
The second I heard the chorus I was already singing along like I already knew the words an melody.
AVE TRUE TO CEASAR!!
This is both really cool but also really sad when you think about it. I don’t know but this possesses both a triumphant and melancholic attitude, of a people, stripped of every loyalty and utility but to the state, speaking not of family, hearth or home but power to annihilate their enemies, crushing unity, mindless loyalty and dependence on the divine leaders.
It speaks, to me, not of a people unaware or ignorant of that fact, but resigned itself to that fate. For they know, as the world goes, and especially in the harsh world they inhabit, the strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must. And they have no intentions of ever being ‘weak’. No matter the cost.
Thats such a great insight. I really like that, definitely headcanon now!
They were once weak and victims of their environments and then they "joined" the Legion and became a force of nature however the lore is a little different then the game because 90% of the lore was cut from the game and apparently the Legion was supposed to be a little less generic bad guy and more understandable and don't forget a decent number of tribes voluntarily joined the Legion in fact look at the white legs tribe that was doing everything in its power to get on Caesars good side to join the legion
Please keep making Totalitarian music like this. This is just beautiful, Ave brother!
this song wont get out of my head

Seriously stadium country is just a millionaire trying to make a poor man’s song. Stop listening to it and you will have more self respect
