They need to add bone rigging in a future update, that combined with the performance feature would be legendary
Agreed. But what we see here is the bone rigging editing.
The way the fairy rotate while moving.
Imagine you put 5 fairys aka 5 body parts, select them 5 to move together. Then pic 1 body to rotate while it moves.
So it their version of rigging.

Man this is going to be a huge game changer. I’ve been working on animation for awhile, but the way I did it contained many different softwares of constantly switching from IPad Procreate for character gifs, then uploading them to my Discord Server to save them to my Computer using Express Animate to move the characters around. 😂 I no longer have to do that because of THIS!
I haven’t animated in a long time due to the way I animated. I sorta lost motivation and energy, but this makes me want to continue on so I can finally finish my animated series.

The program is interesting. But what I haven't seen from anyone yet is whether it is possible to give figures and objects a bone system? And if it's not possible, would it be interesting if it has been planned for the future?

I really love to see that feature as well but I doubt it’ll come with it. What we can do is make a poll on features we’d love to see on procreate dreams,…that might get their attention since they listen.

I think dreams is going to be a frame by frame app for now. Bones would be cool though. I’m hoping for some vector brushes.
You can do some cool stuff with layer groups, anchor points and perform mode. I'll make a video about that next 😃

How much space will you need to have on your iPad with the app itself and if you wanted to make say a 3 minute short animation similar resolution to what you have made here? ( really looking forward to this app, clearing out space on my iPad for it)

Like a lot of people, I've been dying to get my hands on this since it was announced.
I've already been doing some simple storyboarding, kicking around some ideas. And something I've thought about is the canvas size. Since it supports such huge canvases, I've been thinking about the viability of creating a ridiculously long canvas, to animate something moving down it. Like a race, or a plane flying through the clouds... whatever.
Or, think of a long horizontal canvas. You could render your background so that it simulates a perspective change. The camera (or canvas) moves right, so it appears like a character is turning in place.
Even simple things like absurd canvas sizes offer so many possibilities.

What I’ve yet to see anything of is an example of lip syncing. Anything that would make that easier would be awesome.

So you can multiple editing within the recorded pic motion..
You just make keyframin animation the thing of the past. :)
How big are the Dreams files?
They did okay
Finally tried this today, perform is broken. It loses control of the objects repeatedly during recording, or shifts from rotate to scale unexpectedly, etc. The timeline controls were super glitchy. I was so disappointed after being so excited for so long. Getting a refund and maybe trying again in a couple years when they haven’t rushed it out.
Do you know if this has a symbol feature for lipsync? Like i can have one object that has multiple different mouth shapes that i can swap between?
Maybe in the future yes. But right now you could have different mouth shapes all grouped togeather as the "Mouth". Then you could have different sub-groups that you could enable and disable. E.g., "Mouth/shape1", "Mouth/shape2", "Mouth/shape3", etc... I can't think of a super simple way to swap between them right now on the timeline, but I'm sure Procreate will cover this use case at some point :)

I thought you can simply export your procreate project and dreams will automatically organize it based on your layer arrangement from procreate. So you still need a manual setup?

Youve never animated? After effects? Adobe animate? wow! I feel very confident now. I do want to animate but not movies or anything but something almost similar. Ive also been look at AI animation lol I am going to get me Procreate Dreams, Regardless. Im hoping it will be user friendly to use because I really cringe and the monthly subscription with Adobe. I would love to get away from that
Not really! - Only done basic keyframe animations in After Effects for RUclips videos. Like text flying into the screen, zooming in or stuff like that :) The perform feature is such a game changer
I just want to animate enough like Cartoon box on yt so i can make a living lol, that channel gets over 30 million views on average per month on 8-10 minutes videos and also they upload once a week
