You're always entertaining, Laranity, but you've raised the bar on this one. Well done!
You didnt mention the "TP Barons". Always thinking of new ways to expand their wealth. Having the smallest playtime of all players, just logging in 2 times a day for 10 min to do their flips and still have enough gold to swim in.
Some of the high tier fractal players are absolutely insufferable. CMs are not that hard but they act like you need to have the most optimal super builds and know all skips to clear them.
@@Kaltsukka That's why I always run them with my guild. We use meta builds sometimes and sometimes we use meme builds like healbender. Always a fun time though! Every once in a while I'll join a pug and quickly realize just how unfun it is when you don't know the people you're playing with.
I have done it all, I had relentlessly farmed fractals every single day, I had farmed WvW, PvP, Raids, Strikes, Dungeons, Done the Story multiple times, Role-played as Lilith and became a cult-leader... But... As a WvW main for 10 years at this point, I would disagree--but only to an extent. In my experience, there's a lot of us that care for more than just "good fights". It's just that Anet has made it difficult to actually care about those things. Plus, caring about the other aspects of WvW is actually pretty important if good fights are to be had, but people's focus tend to be too narrow for this to even be considered.

I had a blast watching this! You made the video really well. (I also really want a Spotify version of „Damage, Quickness, Killproof, 500 LI“ at the end of the video, it‘s so good!)
I was dying at the raider one because it's true for more than just GW2. I did soo much WoW raiding and I felt it in my soul. After you've done the fights a lot people get impatient with wipes, but if it's new people will bang their head (raid) against the wall for hours until it's down. I would be happy to have some challenge as a healer by way of others messing up, but by gods if I had to handle the proverbial cannon on my 342352th run I'm gonna lose it
Great video Miss Scampi :3 The comparison of WvW mains to a cat chasing a laser pointer is spot on.. at least for me. Plus: I love that the WvW clip of Lara leading her squad into death was included. Clipping that during stream gave me the giggles for solid 10 minutes xD
As an open world/AP main, I must say, OH GOD LARA WHY IS YOUR INVENTORY LIKE THAT. I actually almost spit out my drink when you cursed my screen with that lol (outside of your inventory, fantastic video as always)
As an Open World Main, I must say, "What do you mean you have your bags merged? Don't you have them individual, with auto-sorting properties to make your life easier? Have you even heard of Oiled Packs, Invisible Packs, Craftsman's Bags, and so on? You need to get your auto-sort meta on! Also, be sure to have at least 200 slots and a variety of infinite tools. And the World Boss Portal Device. (Banners and feasts are a nice touch.)"
As an open world, pvp and wvw player, I got roasted multiple times. Thankfully, I can claim that I am a fishing main and a black lion day trader and laugh at everyone else xD Awesome video as always and great editing
Thanks for the video and fun summaries! I'd also like to propose two other player types with a bit of tongue in cheek commentary to match yours. :) 1) Lorehound These players are basically a combination of open world main and roleplayer to some extent, perhaps overlapping with raiders in some sense depending on how invested they are in instanced content lore. Their main purpose is to not roleplay or raid etc necessarily but to get immersed in the world of Tyria, experiencing all the lore everywhere and finding all those juicy lore books, hunting down rarely triggering ambient dialogue to learn cool new details that may increase their appreciation for Tyrian worldbuilding or reveal new or obscure lore that blows their mind (e.g. the idea that skritt believe in an afterlife called Bright Hollow). Because they're so invested in the lore that they know it more thoroughly than most people (or claim to know it even better than the narrative team themselves) and may even obsess about it quite a bit, they get incredibly frustrated when they think the story isn't long enough with even more optional dialogue to experience, there aren't enough dialogue variants for race/sex/profession/order/story choices, and lore books with one or two pages are woefully short as they keep hoping for more 8-page books like "The Four Djinn." Because of their investment in lore, they may also spot plot holes, retcons, writing problems (tone, clarity etc) and view that the plot and characters weren't used to their fullest extent or think that certain characterizations were off and thus distracting, so they often get upset with certain elements of the plot and think they could've written the story better. 2) Wiki editor (or Wikki krewe) These players spent a lot of time wandering around the game documenting all sorts of things on Tyria depending on their area of interest. Whether it's hunting down all ambient dialogue (especially the obscure stuff), counting all the named NPCs or ambient creatures in an area or poi to record to the respective page, or figure out e.g. what skills you gain as a thief from stealing from this or that enemy. The one common denominator these varied editors have is that whether it's lore, mechanics or other things, they diligently record it in wiki, sometimes spending hours at a time just writing things down and standing still, barely playing the game if at all. New releases (particularly big ones like expac launches or quarterly releases) lead to editors' panic mode that can last for weeks or longer as they get drowned in all the new stuff flooding in that needs to be recorded ASAP, so they run around like headless chickens at times to record this or that stuff. All the while less wiki-versed players keep complaining how this or that character, area, skill etc article is woefully incomplete, or how some collection's page needed to be ready yesterday with detailed instructions on where to find some npc, how to locate or craft items etc. and that the editors are lazy for not working around the clock. Which can lead to frustration on the editors who try their best as their time allows. But they do also receive love from the community that often praise the GW wikis as some of the most comprehensive in the entire gaming industry, so much so that even the devs themselves often crossreference the player wikis for information due to the excellent formatting and content.
Right around the 2 minute mark I see that your inventory looks like mine- cluttered- and the reactions just made me totally laugh out loud! Too funny!!!
love to get instantly called out as an octovine enjoyer, even named a character after them lol. love open world and especially meta events, its great to see dozens of players work together :D even tho raids are great too, love when dmg goes brrr

lara, i have always enjoyed your videos but something about this one clicks harder than ever before. i laughed out loud multiple times, you know your way around the words and editing. bravo!
As an AP collector, I feel way too called out here, because we’re technically part of all these categories (how else are we gonna chase the AP?) So this was just a full video of roasting me. :)
True. I spent A LOT of time chasing tags in WvW, more hundreds of hours in PvP blaming others and proud of my skills, doing some Raids as "hi DPS" and avoiding mechanics like the plague even tagging up as commander for some open world metas that no one was doing but I needed for AP
This Halloween i visit a homestead that i really like, it was full of choyas. Choya working in the mine, chilling in the bar, getting cut in the lumber mi- what?! "Oh, we need fruit for the bar" honestly, the best homestead i see so far
As a comfy pve commander myself who recently stepped into wvw for the first time in 8 years to take advantage of the reward track xp buff I learnt that 'pve' is now used in place of 'noob' by wvw players looking to insult each other. Which I found absolutely hilarious.
Ok this is the most funny GW2 video ive seen in quite a while , thank you for making that video. You're dutch i presume as i hear your accent , in dat geval echt grote klasse !!!!! Goed om te zien dat er toppertjes zoals jij in de game zitten . ;)
About the crazy requirements and just wanting to get carried - I always thought exactly the same about fractal cms. Some players ask for 30k ufe and don't even wanna do level 100. It's ridiculously obvious what's going on with those people.
That's just because most people find 100 CM completly unfun though, it shouldn't be that hard to understand. Sure there might be some people getting "carried", but heck it's still relatively rare to see someone really underperforming in high UFEs groups to the point you call them "being carried".
As a wvw commander I can absolutely agree that almost everyone says they can do it better when things don’t go well, it’s painful and anxt ridden, but you are a GOD when it goes well! Lololol 😢
LOL!!! I'm not done watching yet but had to pause after the WvW section to comment because I'm laughing so hard, again. I was with a zerg in Alpine Borderlands, Commander is leading our zerg to NW camp to jump an enemy zerg that is in process of capping the camp. We ALL jump and glide from inside NW Tower where we assembled. Just as our entire zerg crosses the glide border we see we are a few seconds too late and the zone changes color as we are all still way too high in the air and too far over the glide border to do anything but fall to our deaths. I think that was the hardest I laughed ever while playing this game and probably 90% of us wrote "LOL" in local or map chat. I have emotes on and could see many of the enemy using the laugh emote. I honestly don't think anyone was upset because it was just so darn funny.
I love the story of this game and how fun the little bits of Tyria are, even if I have to put a bit more legwork in to ignore some of the less diagetic stuff like murking 50'000 grawl for being mildly inconvenient in an area or because i wanted bones. Also the second best tip for pvp is you don't need to tank all the incoming damage, you just need to follow some lovely meatshield in and then random BSGO!
From personal experience, the best kept secret of PvP is that Random Bullshirt Go! can get you as far as low-to-mid Gold if you have decent game sense and mental. No, for real, a lot of the folks hard-stuck in Silver are there because they call GG and start hard feeding to "get it over with quickly" fourty seconds in to the match, or keep thinking they're Him and can win a 1v4 on mid with a glass cannon build.
type 10 here: i play 6-10h every day, use blish hud with todolist and many more mods to get my dailies as effective and fast as possible, i love to play the stories, no raids, no pvp, no wvw and after a few months i take a break from gw2 for a few months and repeat..
PvP is my main game mode. Usually somewhere in plat most the time. Random bullshit go is the most difficult burst rotation that takes thousands of hours of competitive queue to master. Works on all builds. Especially a support… oh, and weavers!!!
I guess i went from The Raider to the Open-World/AP Hunter, used most of the ascended gear i got from fractals to fund my legendary armor sets and just kinda do my little cheklist of things along with Convergences. Then i feel smug in Convergences since 20 of the people in there cant move out of an AOE to save their lives.
There is 1 group in Shaemoor waypoint, only mainly gathers on weekends. I would call them "quitters" who reached the endgame (Og's) don't really do anything just sit there and talk or troll newbies. But ive seen sometimes about even 30-40 people there.
Finally the video we've been waiting for :D You should totally reuse the song elsewhere as well like in your stream countdown or something, it's so good
As an open world main, you got my number 😩 that inventory was a jumpscare. I don't understand how anyone can have the combined bags view in general, but every streamer I've seen does. How do you sort things if you don't have separated bags/bag types??? How do you ever know where anything is??
I usw combined bags and Just have this one big inventors where max. 20% IS allowed to be filled and Eversthing hast it's own place so it Doest Look messy
You forgot about the other side of the AP hunter coin: the collector/hoarder. I will collect every possible unique skin of armor/weapon there is without spending a single copper nor gem. At least, it takes some good amound of time and you'll be entertained forever.
Have you ever seen the Merc Commanders? Yeah those who will guide a map through the whole meta event and ask for a gold coin or two at the end. But If people don't "tip" them, the next run will for sure mysteriously fail.
Guild Wars 2 sentence horror story: By salvaging Ectoplasm you gain Essences of Luck. There is almost certainly at least one player who bought enough gems to get to 300 Luck Find.

Always thank your Comm for tagging up for a meta/event.
Can confirm, I'm generally floating around Gold 1-2. I know generally what all my buttons do, but that's about it.
Please release a full version of the end song
Best gw2 content creator here, love you lara !
I'm both offended & amused haha the Sabetha cannon is too real x) love these videos keep up the great work!
1st. 3:55 this is the reason why i always do canons in Wing 1 tbh 😑
2nd. love the fashion on 12:27 😮
type 10 here: i play 6-10h every day, use blish hud with todolist and many more mods to get my dailies as effective and fast as possible, i love to play the stories, no raids, no pvp, no wvw and after a few months i take a break from gw2 for a few months
and repeat..
I want this ''damage.. quickness.. killproof.. 500 li" as my new ringtone. Awesome.
Your b roll usage is top tier! Love the editing! Do you record clips after the voice over or during?
This was awesome. I was chuckling the entire time. ❤
This video is flawless
To be real. Your little wvw dubstep montage actually is my favotite wvw montage. xD
Open world main...my jam. Excellent video!
PvP is my main game mode. Usually somewhere in plat most the time.
Random bullshit go is the most difficult burst rotation that takes thousands of hours of competitive queue to master. Works on all builds. Especially a support… oh, and weavers!!!
That pvp part made me laugh so hard.... every time I try pvp.... I do exactly that 🤣
I guess i went from The Raider to the Open-World/AP Hunter, used most of the ascended gear i got from fractals to fund my legendary armor sets and just kinda do my little cheklist of things along with Convergences.
4:00 I died xDDDD
Fr, these noobs NEVER want any responsibility.
I would say they are avoiding child support payments...but that would insinuate they get laid at all 😂
Finally the video we've been waiting for :D You should totally reuse the song elsewhere as well like in your stream countdown or something, it's so good
I feel called out. Several times over.
Oh my gosh you got me with the Dunkey reference at the end with your Jumping Puzzle XD... I wonder how many other people will catch it haha
This is the best gw2 video out there... damage quickness killproof 😂
The openworld main segment had me burst out laughing, it's too accurate. :D Yeah, I'm 70% openworld main, 30% fashion victim. ^^
Cats chasing a laser pointer killed me! Very true of wvw players!
We need a full version of I'm looking for a warrior with damage, quickness, killproof, 500 LI
Have you ever seen the Merc Commanders? Yeah those who will guide a map through the whole meta event and ask for a gold coin or two at the end. But If people don't "tip" them, the next run will for sure mysteriously fail.
Guild Wars 2 sentence horror story:
By salvaging Ectoplasm you gain Essences of Luck. There is almost certainly at least one player who bought enough gems to get to 300 Luck Find.
i need a full version of the "Damage, Quickness, Killproof, 500 LI" song. Its stuck in my head.
Commander named Drizzlewood Coast, he just runs Drizzlewood Coast, guy is in a class of his own
Octovine 7000th time?
Those are rookie numbers... Thats how often I'm playing it every month
A Roast! Yes!! Laranity brings the sausage every time!!! You forgot the most important type, the "Laranity" type.
