Another great video. I live in Kadikoy and love it here. Yes it's a bit far from the historic sites but we can jump on a ferry and be in those areas fairly quickly. Plus riding the ferry is a fun experience too. We like to say the Asian side of Istanbul is where people live and the European side is for tourists. Regardless, Istanbul is a great place to live. Thank you for this great info! I rented an air bnb for August in the old town/ historical area. I just recently saw a video that said not to stay there due to the noise from the public transportation. Now I'm nervous about it. 😅
Our pleasure Renee! It definitely can get noisy, but it really depends on the specific area/street. Thanks so much for watching 🙏 Istanbul is a very hilly city in general and not every train station has the best accommodation for the disabled or someone with a stroller. They have been improving the stations with elevators and escalators but it's still a work in progress for some of the lines. We would suggest you to stay in Kadikoy and use the ferry to everywhere you need to go. Ferry with a stroller is a better option than a train station. Hope you have a wonderful time!

Very important warnings for those who will continue to travel to Turkey throughout the year and are considering renting a house from Airbnb. It should not be a regulation to be enforced on a rentee. If there's any regulations going to be enforced, it's most likely to be done on the Airbnb hosts.
Lately have been staying in hotels much more often here in Thailand since the prices are usually much lower during the pandemic. AirBnb fees have been higher lately for us and only have made sense for longer stays with the long stay discounts
They clean your room and make your better for a cheaper price so definitely more comfortable than staying at a hotel! Interesting that it's cheaper now in Thailand
Just Booking.com yea... the funny party you can actually pre-book all of your hotels on Booking.com from Australia and they will honor the reservation if the hotel participates... you just can't use it in the country... so odd.
Hi there not sure if you still see questions asked . I’m going Istanbul for the first time for about 3-4 days . I would prefer to stay in a hotel . Near historical sights but also near lots of cafes and restaurants and places easy to commute from. Is there any particular place you would recommend ( area ) thank you 🙏🏽
Hi there! Thanks for watching! As mentioned in the video, it really depends on the way you want to experience Istanbul as every neighborhood would provide something different for your needs! We suggested some neighborhoods in our video, let us know if you have any other questions!
Great tips! We have to say we love our Airbnb stays 😁 but always great to have breakfast included when it comes to hotel stays...and yes, big comfortable beds as well 😅 We honestly can’t wait to one day go to Turkey...all those neighbourhoods look amazing and oh my goodness...Turkish food, the breakfast spreads look so yum!
Hi Youssef, unfortunately we don't have any specific hotel recommendation as everyone's choice of hotel changes based on different expectations. Thanks for watching and hope you have a great time in Turkey!
I'm going to Instambul this sommer for the first time and I'm looking for an hotel. I just have one question. Is it practical and possible to reach Kadikoy late in the evening? I've seen that the metro doesn't work during the night. Anyway, thanx for the video!
You can take Havaist bus from the airport directly to Kadikoy. The buses run every hour or so to different parts of Istanbul. Unfortunately they still haven't completed the metro construction yet. Thanks for watching! 🤗
Nice men skincare brand endorsement guys! No wonder Steve's skin looks glowing in this video 😁 Gotta tell Peter to not skip the skincare routine, lol. Ps. he's so lazy using skincare. Always wear nothing on his face 😂
There are no restrictions at the moment but starting from September 6th, using transportation and going to events will require a vaccine or a PCR test in Turkey.
If you are renting for a long time, say for a week or month, they dont come and clean your AirBnb place. The cleaning fee is cut based on the length of the stay and is only done before and after your stay unfortunately.
Hey, guys. It's my first time to visit Turkey. What is the convenient and safe place to stay in Istanbul which is close to Asian and European side too. Thanks!
Hi Marika, hope you have a great time, its a beautiful country! For a first time visit, depending upon your budget, it probably makes sense to stay in Old Town (Sultanahmet) for a few days to easily see all the historical sites. There is a tram that can take you from central old town to a ferry stop to cross from Europe to Asia as well. If you're staying longer you can then switch to Nisantasi or Besiktas for a different feel of the European side, or Kadikoy on the asian side.
Hi Carlos, we give an idea about cost in the video, it really will vary depending upon which neighborhood you want to stay in and some other factors (3 vs. 5 star hotel). Overall airbnb's will be more cost effective.
WHAT IS: AIRBNB ??? CAN U PLEASE EMAIL ME THE HOTELS OR THEIR LINK THAT CHARGING 30-40 DOLLARS PER NIGHT? IS IT A PRIVATE ROOM OR SHARED WITH THESE PRICES? THNX
Hi! Airbnb is a website where you can rent furnished apartments from for a short or long term stay. Unfortunately, we don't have the links for those hotels. Thanks for watching!
Deciding between a hotel and Airbnb can be tough, but breakfast included at a hotel is a huge perk in my opinion, especially a Turkish breakfast 😀 That is a great tip about calling the hotels directly, it is so common to book online through 3rd parties that picking up the phone and calling can easily be forgotten. Great tips guys!
Kadıkoy is a barren area that offers nothing but bars and cafes that offer the opportunity to hang out for young people living on the Anatolian side of the city. It may not be bad for a person who will spend a limited time such as ten days or two weeks in Istanbul to spare maybe 1 day. Actually, you'll be already found better bars and cafes in European Side when you'll think about going Kadıkıy. Galata, Beyoğlu, and then historical Istanbul, the old city area can be preferred for accommodation. It doesn't seem wise to me to compare an Istanbul that was the capital of empires such as Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman and carries the legacy of 3000 years with an average neighborhood that has become popular since the 1990s.
Hi Zalim Adam 😅 definitely hear you and agree that there are such nice bars and cafes on the European side, actually nightlife in Europe is better! However this video is made to suggest where to stay, not where to visit and the ferry rides for transportation in Istanbul is priceless. Thanks so much for watching and have a great day! 🤗
Those who come to Airbnb in Turkey must also bring with them a certificate of clean criminal record. Because site residents want to see this information during the approval process.

It should not be a regulation to be enforced on a rentee. If there's any regulations going to be enforced, it's most likely to be done on the Airbnb hosts.
Hi Guys, if you are visiting, where is the best area to go shopping for clothe in Istanbul ? Thank you
You should visit Mecidiyekoy, Besiktas, Kadikoy and Nisantasi area as they have super nice malls!
Ohh bookings are not allowed in turkey? That i didnt know 😅
Just Booking.com yea... the funny party you can actually pre-book all of your hotels on Booking.com from Australia and they will honor the reservation if the hotel participates... you just can't use it in the country... so odd.
Always the best Nişantaşı, both history and the modern face of Istanbul, the indispensable district of women
What do you guys think of the new emin hotel? Thankful för answer❤
Hi Bayan! Unfortunately we do not know that hotel, but you can check their reviews online! :)
Nice sharing and i want to travel there too I Food Leveling
You should!
Great tips! We have to say we love our Airbnb stays 😁 but always great to have breakfast included when it comes to hotel stays...and yes, big comfortable beds as well 😅
We honestly can’t wait to one day go to Turkey...all those neighbourhoods look amazing and oh my goodness...Turkish food, the breakfast spreads look so yum!
You will love it here! 😊 hope to meet you one day in person too!
Great share, thank you!! Leaving мy support friend.
Have a Lovely Day 💜Greetings!🎶like79
Thank youuuu ☺️
Hi, could you put links of the AIRBNB or the hotels you've stayed at in the description?
Yes we can! It might take some time to compile them but would be happy to!
Hello , any hotels recommendations planing trip in Med March thank you .
@@TravelInteresante Thanx for the answer and cheers from Switzerland!
Sending love to Switzerland, hope you have a great time in Turkey! ❤
Nice men skincare brand endorsement guys!
No wonder Steve's skin looks glowing in this video 😁
Gotta tell Peter to not skip the skincare routine, lol. Ps. he's so lazy using skincare. Always wear nothing on his face 😂
Hahaha thanks Ony! If Steve doesn't use it for a few days his face really does start to peel so it becomes pretty obvious for him to use it daily!
Nice points
🤗🙏
Thanks for a very informative video will visit turkey in August will meet you guyz n vlog together n collab💕
We are unfortunately not in Turkey in August. Hope you have a great time in Turkiye!! 🇹🇷
@@TravelInteresante ok will get information if needed
Hi great couple;
Any idea what are the fresh timelines for restaurants and going out in September?
There are no restrictions at the moment but starting from September 6th, using transportation and going to events will require a vaccine or a PCR test in Turkey.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏻
I see that they have lots of reasonable price small hotels with excellent reviews; are they really that good?
It really depends on the location!
I choose the AirBnB to stay
For long term plans AirBnb is the best option!
No puedo esperar para ir a Estambul ! Bella ciudad.gracias por su información.
Muchas gracias 😍
Prices of airbnbs&hotels just sky rocketed this year for some reason
Thanks for the update. Yes we have noticed that too, high demand increases the prices unfortunately 😕
How does the cleaning happen at AirBnb? What is the frequency of cleaning if some hosts provide cleaning? Say, if I stay for two weeks? No cleaning?
If you are renting for a long time, say for a week or month, they dont come and clean your AirBnb place. The cleaning fee is cut based on the length of the stay and is only done before and after your stay unfortunately.
Hi, what was the name of the Airbnb in Karakoy?
We unfortunately don't have a link for the Karakoy AirBnb
@@TravelInteresante Thank you so much! 😍
Anytime! :)
gokce are your parents turkish? and u were born in usa?. u r a lucky gal, steve is a good guy.i wish u guys all the best!
I was born and raised in Turkey. Thanks so much, I'm a lucky girl indeed 😊 thanks so much for your kind words!
So how much does it cost for a hotel vs Air BNB? Please.
Deciding between a hotel and Airbnb can be tough, but breakfast included at a hotel is a huge perk in my opinion, especially a Turkish breakfast 😀
That is a great tip about calling the hotels directly, it is so common to book online through 3rd parties that picking up the phone and calling can easily be forgotten.
Great tips guys!
It really works! Highly recommend it 👌
Kadıkoy is a barren area that offers nothing but bars and cafes that offer the opportunity to hang out for young people living on the Anatolian side of the city.
Hi it's vivek soni
INDIA
what's the meaning of AIRBNB
Hi Vivek! Airbnb is a website which helps you to book furnished apartments for a day or longer. 🤗
@@TravelInteresante THANK YOU FOR REPLY 😍

Yes you can find really good AirBnb stays in Izmir! 🤗
@@TravelInteresante thank you for answering me ❤
Absolutely 🤗 have a great time in Izmir!
Those who come to Airbnb in Turkey must also bring with them a certificate of clean criminal record. Because site residents want to see this information during the approval process.
Interesting, would you mind sharing the link where you have seen this information? Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear that Martin and we respect your choice. We never introduce anything we don't enjoy using and will continue making videos to help travelers. Stay safe 🙏
Stay at a hostel and save some money. You can still get your own room at a bunch of them. Free breakfast isn't a selling point. I would rather go out and explore and get different breakfasts.
Agreed, hostels are great as well! Thanks for watching 🙏
